If you're not stopping, we can't be friends. Needed a break and do some shopping. Had to grab their 250 anniversary American shirt. Which comes with a Buc-ee's sticker. I usually put on my car, then it fades with the Texas sun and I peal it off till I get a new one. Customer service is on point. Everyone is nice, polite, helpful, and just Southern. Love coming here. This may be the last Buc-ee's we visit as our road trip is nearing its end. It's supposed to be…read morethe largest one but one of the other ones we visited seemed the same size for both the pumps and store. This time instead of exploring their packaged snack products I thought about how much room we have left in our car and flying it home so I decided against it. I did buy 3 of their small cup size Blue Bell dark chocolate ice cream- for all of us but the cashier gave only one spoon. It tasted so good I had hubs go get me a large size one since I didn't eat a normal lunch and it was past 5 pm. While I waited in the car with the grandpup. I wanted to find some Bucee items for Doc since she's been our road trip driver plus made all the arrangements for hotels, tickets to parks, dinner show, etc. We all got different things: hubs got small bags of jerky, Doc got her favorite brisket sandwich to share with her Frenchie, a sausage on a stick and 3 peach cobblers for each of us to try. I like the large amount of clean restroom stalls plus soap. The cone of warmed sugary pecans and cinnamon bites were a sweet snack- finally gone from the first Buc-ee's a week ago. Before leaving Doc had us take a selfie and a nice gentleman also took a couple for us too.

Possibly an unpopular opinion, but... my last visit here was less than satisfactory. We grabbed lunch on our way to Houston. Our lunch consisted of brisket sandwich, chicken tenders & fries, and the three meat sandwich. I'm pretty sure their meat is not a true cut of brisket. Its consistency is like mush, and not like muscle fibers. There was nothing lean brisket vs fatty brisket. The brisket had holes throughout, making it look even more like an ultra processed deli meat or even lab grown. I was disgusted, to say the least. They also have ZERO options for people conscious of the ingredient lists. We bought popcorn and the bag was open at the bottom. I opted the top and it was super stale. I realized it was open on the bottom and the store game me a hard time about exchanging it. It's pretty clear the sealing process failed for this bag. We won't be shopping here anymore, nor will we eat their food. But if you're visiting Texas and come across one, it's a fun stop to pass time.

However, the staff that was here between 5:00AM-6:30 AM was unbelievably rude. Both females had an attitude (one of which is an older, petite, African-American female that plays gangster rap music on her phone while behind the cash register). This employee looks at you as if you are a problem, doesn't greet you, and could care less about what you need (and I barely said a word at this point, other than requesting a shower purchase). Same with female employee #2, who cops an attitude that she was waiting for me to enter the laundry area when it was clearly obvious that 1. I was waiting for several minutes within the counter area that conducts truckers transactions. 2. That after my waiting period, I waited for her in the laundry area while she walked back & forth completing her cleaning tasks without acknowledging me. I found the experience remarkably odd, in comparison to other good experiences with Love's. A lot of those experiences have been very good, and rarely bad. This experience stood out as one that was very ugly for no reason, which is why I felt compelled to express what I just experienced. As it was, the shower wasn't even thoroughly cleaned due to the ponding water within it, so guess what? I wound up cleaning it. Took a few minutes, but I knocked it out using one of their blue towels while also using my gym towel & washcloth to bath/dry off with. I guess that it doesn't pay to be a Love's valued member, particularly at this location. Employees at this location, please treat people the way that you want to be treated- this goes a long way. Worst Love's experience ever.
