It's is a giant travel center with 100 gas pumps and a store that easily rivals the size of a Target. The selection is overwhelming in the best way possible. They have everything from rows of candy, jerky, and fresh-roasted nuts to warm brisket sandwiches, fresh fudge, and endless other treats. They have clothes and sporting equipment and tots and other stuff too. Pretty sure only about 1% of the total food offerings could be considered healthy, but they sure are good! Between the hot food counters, novelty snacks, and merchandise, it is nearly impossible to leave empty-handed. We ended up buying several hundred dollars of pure joy on this trip. They did kick out tiny dog out who was in a backpack but I goes those are the hygiene rules. No star deduction. If you are driving through Texas and need fuel, snacks, or just a unique road trip experience, stopping at Buc-ee's is mandatory.

Be aware: The Shell carwash in Alden Bridge is DANGEROUS!…read more Use at your own RISK! It broke down during the rinse cycle slammed into my car causing a big dent and broken antenna. I went immediately into the store and told the manager, she checked the carwash, agreed it was broken called the repair company while taking my information. An adjuster called the next week, did an over the phone interview and told me to get a repair quote. I did as requested, the collision shop submitted quote directly to the insurance co and I waited. Finally got a letter from adjuster stating, "we find the Shell carwash not responsible for the damage". I am beyond furious, I did nothing wrong and I am going to have to fix my car on my own dime when the manager admitted the carwash malfunctioned and did the damage to my pristine Volvo. I will NEVER do business at Alden Bridge Shell station ever again!

They also sell propane, which turned into an important point at the last big hurricane a few years ago. They always seem competitively priced. Overall , if you need gasoline, don't be afraid to stop here.

And my pet peeve, no soap in the buckets and the water is always dirty. It became a gas only place for me. Better service and conditions just down the road. I cannot recommend this station anymore.
