Kelly is fantastic. The service she provides outstanding. I had a rush job and wanted new glasses before a long trip and she bent over backwards to get them done in time. I've never experienced such good customer service. She is also amazing understanding the right frames for your face type. She's blunt, but she's right you only have to look in the mirror to see that she is. I've been wearing glasses since I was four years old and have never gotten an honest opinion of what glasses were best for my face. Kelly had no problem doing that and I left with two great pairs of glasses. Her selection is unparalleled and her prices are great. If you want high-quality frames, excellent customer service great prices and an honest evaluation of what will look best on you, Kelly is a person to go to. Eye BIZ now has a POP-UP location in Lemoyne at the Antique Market Place. I randomly visit this unique flea market on Bosler Ave. I had my "optical palm read" by Kelly who is not only Knowledgeable but also Customer-focused and still carries those Fashionable Frames you remember from her shop on Paxton St. HBG. I chose this store for my eyewear because they have really very unique frames. Pearle Vision and the other places are ok, but they have the standard stock frames that all the others have. I wanted something that had a bit of pizazz to it! This place fit the bill. Normally I kind of find only two I kind of like, and then choose between which I like best (or hate least). Here there were at least 10 pair I wanted! It was a little tough narrowing it down. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. I went in for an adjustment once. The only thing is my lens cost so freaking much money. I really don't think they should have cost that much, and have seen them advertised cheaper. I kind of reqret the money spent on these lenses right now, when I'm not working. However, I do really really love the glasses. I still gave them a 5 - they gave me a discount on the frames too since my lenses were going to be so pricey. Love their cockatoo-type birdie in there too. Adds some more character to an already fun store! read more

I had a so-so experience at Eye Biz. They have a great selection of cool, avant garde frames that you're unlikely to find anywhere else outside of a major city. Accordingly, their stuff is expensive, so if looking cool isn't that important to you, this probably isn't the place for you to buy glasses. However, in my honest opinion, the customer service and attitude of the staff left something to be desired, especially in this price range. I personally would not return. For my next high end glasses purchase, I'll look to somewhere in Philly or Baltimore. read more

The frames are beautiful. Much higher end than I've found anywhere else in the Burg. I had been close to buying a couple times in the last several years, but I just couldn't justify it since I had VSP and could get ok glasses at half the price. Saturday I settled on one of several great frames. I was told by the proprietor that I could buy the frames and have a VSP provider put the lenses in. This would save $100+. Great. I said I'd call my provider and see if it would be a problem. No problem. I came in today and bought the frames. When I dropped them off at the provider, they called me to say that there were several tiny chips in the frame. I hadn't noticed them originally (Did I mention I need glasses?) They checked before they sent them out because they didn't want to get blamed for damaging a set of frames they didn't sell me. I picked them up and sure enough the chips were there. The frames had an electro-deposited coating that started to come off at the corners. Since lenses hadn't been put in yet, it did not bode well for the frames lasting very long. So 3 hours after buying the frames I brought them back with every intention of buying one of the other frames I had seen. Maybe something in a nice surgical steel. I was also going to give Eye Biz the lens business since the VSP price wasn't that much cheaper and I like to support small business. You would have thought I tried to return a child she had just surrogated for me. Obviously it had to have happened in the 3 hours outside the shop by the optometrist's osffice that inspected the frames. They apparently have no experience handling frame without damaging them. Being an optometrist, there's really is not much call for that. Fortunately, she still had my check which she shoved across the table at me and said "never again." Apparently it was a favor to let me get the lenses done elsewhere. That might be true. Eye Biz never offered that before. She may have offered it to close the deal. I really wanted to buy some frames there. With a high end frame store, I expected high end service instead of blame and various aspersions directed at my integrity. I don't think the quality issues with this one pair are indicative of the the rest of the inventory. There's really some great stuff there. Which is why I was going to select another frame. Buy your frames here. Just be sure you check the product thoroughly before you leave with it. And if you are not going to return them within 3 hours like I did, charge them so you can contest the charge if you have to. You'll have to pay an additional 3% to cover the swipe fee. Apparently there's not much margin in high end frame business. read more

Kelly is fantastic! I've been getting glasses at Eye Biz for the past 12 years. I still have my previous glasses: 1 pair lasted 4 years and the other 7 years. Kelly will find a pair of glasses that fits the contour of your face as well as your skin and hair color. She is very knowledgable. Her glasses are very unique. I've never seen them anywhere! She also donates a pair of glasses for every pair she sells. She is welcoming, friendly, and dynamic about what she does. Yes, you will pay a little more...but I've also paid those "little less" prices and gotten several pair of glasses for the one pair I have gotten from Eye Biz. You really do get what you pay for...
