She took a mouthful of problematic teeth which I had been…read moretold twice before "absolutely must be extracted" for dentures, and somehow worked her magic and was able to salvage all but 4 of the teeth in my mouth. For the remaining 4 she set me up with partial dentures as well. But how she was able to completely transform all but 4 of the teeth Id been told by prior dentists were irreparable, is something between a miracle of sorts and pure serendipitous good fortune, for a change. The aching, breaking, stained teeth and unsightly mouth I owned just a month or two ago is now shiny white and almost new and the change was quick and incredible. I literally have been agoraphobic and mostly unable to work due to a combination of pain and shame concerning my teeth, and Dr. Specht and her hygienist have reinvigorated my confidence and my smile and my future will be brighter for the amazing work they've done for me. Needless to say, I am referring everybody I know and their brother to Up North Dental because of their impressive expertise and good work.

It is going to cost me 180 miles…read moreplus my time (three round trips 6 hrs) to get them corrected and I have to wear my pre-surgery glasses while they make the changes. They refuse to give me a postage paid envelope for UPS or Fed-ex to save me one of those trips. It seems I am bearing more of the burden of their mistake, they only have to produce a new pair of lenses.

It has a giant first floor and a half 2nd floor balcony area. The west side is mostly one vendor that specializes in high quality automotive and advertising type items. The prices in this area are pretty high. You won't find any deals here. He's definitely charging what you'd expect as "full-retail" in a major metropolitan area antique store. But he does have some nice stuff. The east side (and the 2nd floor) is mostly filled with the owner's items. This area has a big variety of merchandise and a lot of things you'd typically see at an antique mall. But there's a LOT of it. According to the owner, he once sold furniture out of this building -- hence, the name and the sign. But now it's 99.9% antiques with only a few antique or vintage pieces of furniture. So this past month while on a fishing trip up in Northern Minnesota there was an unfortunate…read moreaccident where I needed to go to the ER in Grand Rapids MN. This review is about the ER and not getting into all the gory details. Upon entering the ER (thank goodness it was not busy) I was impressed at how pleasant and caring the admitting nurse was. Taking my information and insurance all the time showing care and compassion. It wasn't but a few minutes before I was in a room with a couple more nurses taking more info and accessing the problem. They were wonderful. Soon after that I was seen by the ER doctor and told we'll get you fixed up and back on the lake fishing in no time. He had his intern come in and together they decided what needed to be done. She was fantastic. (I'm so mad I didn't get her name) Telling me what was going to happen every step of the way. The most painful part was the Lidocaine shots. Ouch! While I didn't scream, she did say you can hear most patients yelling all the way in the waiting room! So while she was sewing up my arm my buddies told her I was a professional fisherman (not true lol) and that I wanted the stitches in the shape of a fish! Lol. We had her in stitches (lol, pun intended). But when she asked how this happened, I told her the guys were trying to knock me outta the fishing competition! (Lol again not true). She had me sewn up, patched up and out the door as good as new. An absolutely wonderful experience for a bad situation. While I hope no one ever needs to go to the Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital ER, know that you will be well taken care of. I couldn't really take a lot of photos due to rules and regulations.
