The reason I have to drive out to Ocean Springs is because I have a eye condition that requires a specialist. I have gone out to the Center for Eye Care now for three visits and the service keeps getting better and better. With four locations on the Coast you cant go wrong. But Lately I have been treated by Dr. Latch (****1/2 stars) and she is both knowledgeable and compassionate. The entire staff is great. Every time I walk in there I get very professional and personal service. Everything is explained to me and Dr. Latch takes time out to go over your chart and explain the graphs to you. She is always honest and will tell you plainly when she does not know something but will have the answer by your next visit. Living on the Coast I always had the misconception that finding excellent medical care would be a problem because of the location and presumed lack of amenities. But I have been wrong. Not only have I found competent doctors who are very well versed in the most modern of medical procedures and techniques, but I have found doctors who still treat the patient as unique and individual coupled with that Southern hospitality. You just can't go wrong.

At the hour mark when I questioned how long the wait would be I was told 'I' had to be more patient. She placed the blame of their lack of respect for every patient in the waiting room back on the patients. I have worked in doctors offices for over 30 years. If you know there is a long wait it is the professional, not to mention, respectful thing to do is let the patients know. They can then choose to stay or reschedule. It is not the professional thing to do is to argue and blame the patient for your scheduling issues.
