I don't even know where to begin with how amazing Aaron was for our wedding. We initially met with Aaron and had the opportunity to really sit and get to know him so that he could best express our personalities on the day of the wedding and I'm so glad that we did! He even included an Engagement Photo Session in the wedding package so that you have the opportunity to get to know him prior to the big day! He did such a great job of capturing exactly who we are as individuals and as a couple. In all of our sessions that we were able to review pictures with him, he spent TONS of time going through everything with us and helping us to make decisions. Eye Wander hits it out of the park! There just so many wonderful things to say about Aaron's work, I don't even know where to start. For one, seeing all of his landscape and travel pictures online makes me really jealous and want to travel to those places *right now*. But for now, I will live vicariously through his travels since his photography makes you feel like you are in these exotic places. (: Second, I have been following Aaron's work before he had his huge team around when he first was starting out. It makes me super happy to see Eye Wander at community events (including photographing the LA Film Fest and Trafficking Hope gala which are two of my favorite things)... and to say that his artwork has grown and keeps giving me a gasp of WOW every time I scroll through his images is a giant understatement. Also, I work in the wedding industry a bit as well, and speaking him in person at the shows is always a wonderful experience if you are lucky enough to catch him between consults and client questions... Eye Wander is a hot commodity! I've even seen online that they do classes for beginners sometimes too. How cool is that to spread artistic expression and teach others to grow into themselves as artists and inspire passion?! Being a business owner myself, I am extremely picky when it comes to customer service, especially in an industry where we have to work hands-on with people. First point I want to make about Eye Wander is that the initial consult - Getting photos done for whatever occasion (wedding, portrait, boudoir, etc) can be extremely over whelming. Personally, I get anxious either not knowing or knowing too much what I want (and therefor having a hard time letting the artist do their job)... but Aaron has a way of putting the client at ease and speaking their language to get down to the details of what the client is looking for without feeling nervous or overwhelmed with decisions. He makes it easy and takes any stress or nervousness you are feeling out of the situation. Second, is about the actual session - Aaron and his team really do go above and beyond during each session to make it super fun and memorable and accommodating to the client. If the client is feeling still and nervous and afraid, he isn't afraid to let loose and make everything super comfortable and lax. He makes you not feel self conscience and vulnerable and boosts your confidence to where you truly enjoy every minute of the photo shoot, whether you are on-site at an outside location or simply in the studio. You will be disappointed when the session ends actually! Why did it go by so fast?! Third, Aaron lets you view your sessions photos on a huge slideshow screen to get a better look at the shots... it's like going to the movies! Viewing the photos is an experience in itself, and Aaron will give you his personal favorites and suggestions on what to order/ keep. As far as whether to order a book, regular prints, or other print options, he has plenty of selections to choose from to fit your own aesthetic needs. Since Eye Wander has a large team to handle design and orders, the editing and turnaround is very quick! Seeing Eye Wander's work makes me want to get married JUST to have amazing wedding photos! I would definitely recommend Aaron Hogan's company Eye Wander to ANYONE looking for a unique, personal, and not-so-standard photography experience. Long post: there's this guy, his name is Aaron Hogan. He has a beautiful wife, her name is Jency Griffin Hogan. I met Aaron when I first moved to BR. I was working a Bridal Show at the Old Governor's Mansion and Aaron's booth was right across from mine. Aaron is one of the most talented photographers I have ever met in my life. His wife is equally as talented in all sorts of things. Earlier this week Aaron reached out to me and said that he had a time slot for a mini mommy and me session for Mother's Day and would I be interested in taking that spot because I had reached out to him a few months ago about doing a mommy and me shoot with Luca. Of course I jumped on it. Unbeknownst to me Dustin had also reached out to Aaron about doing a daddy and me shoot with Luca and Cooper. Aaron suggested that we take two slots for the the same day. This morning he texted and asked if Dustin and I would be interested in doing one family shot with Luca. Both Dustin and I responded with an emphatic yes. I got there after the boys had started their photo shoot already, and then it was my turn, and in between we did a few family shots with Dustin Luca and myself. Aaron was incredible with getting Luca's attention and getting him to smile even though it was his naptime. Jencey was awesome about making sure my hair looked pretty. It was just an all-around incredibly positive experience, and one that absolutely means the world to me. We may not be a conventional family by society standards, but when Luca is involved we come together as a unit and that is so incredibly special. I cannot wait to see the final product. And I am so grateful for Aaron and Jencey that they made this all happen. read more
