I've been a patient of Dr.Levinson's for years now and have been consistently impressed with how professional his staff has been and how nice the offices always are. He has a location in Cazenovia that he uses a couple days a week but I have been frequenting the Syracuse location as of late. They use the latest in eye scanning technology (you can avoid getting traditional dilation if you choose) and check ups are usually quick and painless. Everyone at the office is great at offering an opinion on a choice of frames which is always appreciated. After cataract surgery my eyeglass script needed to be changed. I gave my frames to them to send out for new script to be installed. They told me approximately 2 weeks. I called after 2 weeks and they we not in. I called a few days later, still not in. they kept telling me they didn't know why they we not in. All I kept getting was NO ANSWERS!! I asked why didn't they call their vendor. 4 weeks later glasses came in I opened the glass case put a soft cloth on them to clean and the frames broke in my hand. I will never go back to these Jokers again. There are many good eye care places in our area, this is not one of them!! read more

I went in today to have a regular eye exam. The doctor said my eyes didn't change very much at all and I said well you know I usually wear my contacts so he looked in my file and said well your contact prescription is pretty much the same. Do you want to order some contacts? I said sure. So I got to the desk to check out and the woman behind the desk said we will bill your insurance company but today you need to pay $59.99 for a contact exam. I told her I did not have a contact exam and she said well you did and you are being charged for it. I said the contact exam is a different exam. I asked her to get the doctor and she refused!!!!! I had only one exam for my regular eyesight. She proceeded to tell me if I order contacts I gotta pay for an exam. I told her I'm not paying for any exam nor do I want any contacts. The doctor is great, but I do not appreciate trying to be ripped off for a charge for a service that I did not receive. I will never go back there again. read more

I have been coming here to see Dr Detota since the early 200'0's and I love it here! Doc is great and quick everyone is friendly and helpful, prices are fair and prescription is always accurate. Not sure if they take new patients but they have two offices. I go to Court St and they are also in Fayetteville. read more

I highly recommend this eye care facility. I had an eye emergency and they were able to fit me in right before closing. I was desperate as my eye was swollen shut and needed attention. My regular Dr was unavailable, However Dr Devito was able to see me and helped me get my eye cleared up in 4 days. I really thought I was going to loose my eye but with guidance and correct meds I was so happy to have a full recovery. The staff were amazing and all of them showed concern and compassion. this place! Thanks for all you guys/gals do each and every day. read more

This place never ceases to amaze me with their incompetence. I waited THREE months for my glasses (see review on their other Facebook page). The frames broke in less than two months. I emailed them, and with no response after eight days, I left them one voicemail/day for three days with no callback. I finally insisted on speaking with a person instead of leaving another voicemail. I spoke with Colby, who told me that he had the frames in his hand and to come in the next day; they'd put my lenses in new frames. I went in and the receptionist said that Colby was off and he was the only one who could do the job. I insisted on speaking with a manager, who eventually got someone else to put the glasses together. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone! read more

Horrible customer service they will charge you for their own mistakes. They wont keep their time schedule. I got my sun glasses after 5 weeks and for their mistake it took another 1 week to get repaired and after 2 months they charge me for it. And they decide to not to apologize take the payment and they happy to cancel my appointments. read more

We have been going to Eyecare of CNY for over 10 years, but the service has gone significantly downhill over the last 3 years. We have been billed incorrectly. Contacts were never ordered after multiple calls. Some of the desk staff is very condescending. We went to a different eye dr. this year and found out my son was over prescribed by their office and actually did not need glasses. In addition, we just received a bill from them from our appt. Jan 2020. They said they billed us wrong and now want us to pay $198 fourteen months after the appt. A complete mess. Please don't use their services. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Levinson since I was a teenager and I'm pushing 50. Unfortunately he has been ill and hasn't been able to work, so I took an appointment with Dr Ditota. This was all fine and good, but I felt a little rushed during my exam one or two, one or two, and that was it. Then there's the matter of frames. Not a frame in my insurance group looks like anything I would ever wear, the same could be said for the rest of the frames in the place. So it is decided that they will order my lenses and have them cut in house for the frames I currently have. What a joke. I received a call in the beginning of July that my lenses were in. I called back and left a message. I waited and waited I received no call back. I called again, again I left a message, waited and waited, no call back. Again I call, leave message recieve no call back. Then I send a message to the office thinking somehow someone could do something like maybe reply to the message, make a phone call, but Nope, nothing. Today I went in to the office, I want answers, I want an appt for my lenses to be fitted, I want them done since I'm there and it takes all of 15 minutes. Did I get any of this? Nope! I got "oh he should be here", "I don't know where he is" "he was suppose to be in at 9:30"( it's now almost 10). Then "I'll call him" but the person that was going to call him just went and talked to someone about him not being there. At this point I've lost all patience and tell them to just give me my lenses and I will go elsewhere to have them fitted to my frame. Even this took some doing. Finally I get my lenses with a "he should be in this afternoon, can we call you when he gets here?" Uhhh NO. I said "this place has really went to shit without Dr Levinson here to run things". (Do I want you to call me when you lazy slack off lab tech decides to roll his lazy loser ass into the office for an hour. Don't bother) I said No, I'm done, I'll go someplace that knows what they're doing and can actually assist me. Walked out. Run an errand that also did not go well lol, get in my car put my wallet on the seat and actually see my lenses(I didn't look at them when I got them). They are three times if not more the thickness of my current lenses, and no possible way they are going into this thin metal frame without looking completely stupid. Well this of course gets a whole new anger welling up in me and I drive back to the office, throw the lenses on the counter said "I don't want these they are way too thick for my frame, I will have my insurance company calling for a refund" turn around said "stupid asses" and left. Never again without Dr Levinson being back to run these properly. No freaking way. read more

I would really like to give this place a 0! my son had a vision therapy evaluation done here in July of 2017. the eval was done by an OT who cant diagnose my child ! we did not get a diagnosis, we never say a Dr just the OT! when calling to see the dr to get a diagnosis for my child I have not received a call back.I have called every day for the last 10 days and have not received 1 call back!!!!!! The school in which my child goes to has also been calling and they have not received one phone call back!! these are only a few of the issues I have had with this establishment. read more

Every time I call to order contacts, I have to call back at least once if not twice. Today I called back and told the girl who answered that I called yesterday to order contacts, and as usual, no one called me back. She put me on hold for over 5 minutes and then finally a Nicki picked up. She didn't ask my name, even though she knew who I was, and simply asked what I wanted. When I told her I wanted to order contacts she curtly responded, "We'll call you when they come in."... again, giving no indication she knew who I was, even though she obviously did. I asked if I could give her my credit card and she said she had to "change something" and put me on hold for another 3-4 minutes. I could tell she was pissed off at me because I'm sure the other girl told her what I said about no one ever calling me back right away when I call to order contacts. When she did get back on the phone she took my credit card information and then hung up without saying good bye when I thanked her and said good bye. I took my son to Dr. Levinson to get the CRT technology. No glasses or contacts to wear during the day, all you do is fall asleep with these small contacts and they reshape your eyes. It's a 1 time fee. My son got to 20/40 then 20/30 and 20/25. Each time my son said he was happy with his own sight- but Dr. Levinson said he could do better. He wasn't making a dime more by seeing my son a fourth and then a fifth time. Both my kids, now 13 & 15 do CRT and have 20/20 vision. The office staff is professional and polite. And they have state of the art technology. My entire family goes there now. Kudos to their entire staff. read more

When I went to my appointment the entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I got an eye exam and they even helped me pick out glasses. Of course I was (and still am) extremely anxious to receive my glasses, but the way they are treating me is ridiculous. I was told that it would take up to ten business days for my glasses to come in, but if I paid in full they would come in sooner. So, I paid in full and tomorrow is the tenth business day and I still haven't received my glasses. I called three times to see if my glasses were in and they are STILL NOT IN. What's even worse is when I called, they did not answer the first time so I left a message. I got no response from that so I called again and got a response but they transferred me only to be greeted by yet another answering machine. I left a total of two messaged and they did not call me back. Finally my aunt called and they gave her an answer. I am off to college in a week and my school is three hours away. If I don't get my glasses before I go back to school I will be extremely angry. I probably will not return to Eyecare of CNY. read more

We have been with Dr. Levinson for almost 20 years but will be leaving his practice. Although he is a great guy and extremely knowledgeable our wait is extensive. We are generally in the waiting room for at least 45 minutes or more. We have been dissatisfied with the wait times for several years. Our breaking point was a recent visit in which my daughter was in the office waiting to be seen for well over an hour with another patient waiting for 90 minutes. read more

I have tried to schedule an appointment both through the online system and over the phone several times. I have never received a response from the online system. Over the phone I was put on hold for over 15 minutes and then the receptionist hung up on me when she answered. When I tried calling back 3 times, she did not answer. I was successful in getting an appointment for my 4 year old daughter. The appointment lasted over and hour and a half. Services were not coordinated in a way that was conducive to minimizing the time we were in the office. We had to initially wait for over 20 minutes before we were seen at all. The reception staff was not friendly or helpful at all. I would not recommend at all - especially for little ones. read more
