Alice has always been amazing and knows just what suits each patient's needs in eye wear. She is most helpful in explaining all of the available options to the patient. My sister drives almost 3 hours to receive this great service as well. I really appreciate their flexibility in getting me into their office in a timely manner if I ever have a concern with my eyes or glasses. The front receptionist has always been there to assist us with our appointments and insurance claims. Dr. Pflueger has been very welcoming and takes a sincere interest in the patient. They offered medication to relax you if you feel like you would have anxiety. The procedure was so quick, literally less than 5 minutes. There was no pain, I didn't even think it was uncomfortable as others have reported. Maybe a bit awkward as they place the suction on your eyes. But there is no pain. Others have said that lasix is scary, and I really didn't feel that way at all, I guess there is a moment when you get under the laser and you have no idea what to expect or if you will feel anything. But the bladeless laser cuts your cornea, and they switch you over the lasix is like 30 seconds. Then they put drops in and send you on your way. Your vision is instantly different. I didn't experience the light sensitivity people talk about. Also people have said they were miserable after the surgery. I will say about an hour after, I just kept my eye closed, because it was watering so much, since they gave me medicine it made me tired, so I did take a nap, during that time it did feel irritable scratchy and watery. Then woke up and like night and day felt like almost nothing had happened. They have you wear the guard at night and have to put some drops in but you are literally back up and running the following day. It is honestly amazing. The staff were kind and courteous. I think the price was extremely reasonable, and ended up being 100 less than they originally quoted me. So I could not be more pleased. Would recommend this 100%.

I ended up choosing to have PRK at TLC in Pittsburgh, and my aftercare was transferred back to Dr. Powelson. My surgery was on a Friday and I needed to be seen the following day. Dr. Powelson actually came into the office on Saturday just to do my post op checkup! I would recommend Dr. Powelson to everyone!
