I've been getting my eyelash extension done by Yvette since 2006 at the Newmarket location. She is an amazing technician, and I say this because I have gotten extension lashes done by other technicians at different companies and none of them can compare to the quality of work Yvette can do. Some of the reviews here are quite hurtful so I say take it with a grain of salt and go to Yvette and experience the service yourself. 1) Yvette has 3 locations, Newmarket, Orfus and Yorkville. Due to the nature of her business and her extremely busy schedule she is constantly traveling to different locations to meet her clients needs. I met Yvette at Royale Esthetic in Newmarket and when she relocated, I followed. Why? Because I can't get the same quality of work from other techs beside her! If I can't get an appointment at my preferred location I will drive to wherever she is so I can get the lashes I want! Yvette will try her best to accommodate however if it can't be done there are other options! Hence the three locations! 2) When you hear someone say getting lashes on are painful, well that's a lie! Whenever I get my lash extension done I fall asleep during the entire process! They are never painful! 3) Wondering about sleeping with your lashes? I've slept with eyelash extensions since 2006 they feel just like my normal eyelash. Once they are on you do not feel a thing! Unless you sleep flat on your face maybe you feel something! 4)Getting your extension wet is fine! I bathe and shower in them. I've gone on vacation swam in the water and my lashes are fine. Yvette will recommend not getting them wet for the first day of application but it's because you do not want to weaken the adhesive! 5) lash extensions are high maintenance you need to care for them properly. If applying makeup (which you really don't need because the lashes are quite dramatic that lining your eyes are unnecessary) however if you need to wear makeup you have to be extra careful in cleaning the make up off your lids and lashes. Getting makeup on the lashes is just a hassle for yourself, you can't just wipe the makeup off you could potentially ruin your extension. You don't need makeup the lashes are beautiful and enhance your look! Try going au naturale! No make up just get up and go sooo easy! 6) extensions fall out naturally just like your own hair! If you play and pull on the extension then you will pull out your own lashes!! If you didn't have extensions on your lashes fall out regardless. Have you never experience one of your own lashes in your eye? Even with extensions you can see how fast your lashes are growing because you can see (closeup mirror) the extension and the root of your own lashes. At this point you can go in to see Yvette for a refill or a fix. 7) Spam emails from Eyelash Canada? The only "spam" I get are deals and special offers or promotions that are going on! Boy if you think those are spams then there must be something wrong with you! 8) what do you guys mean by Eyelash Canada is a SCAM?? They offer eyelash extension services and training. You want lashes you go to Yvette, you want training you go to Yvette and if you fail well you can keep trying until you can become certified. Simple there are no scams!! Overall, Yvette is a great certified eyelash technician and also a certified esthetican! She was the first to bring eyelash extension into Canada! So she knows what she is doing. I've been getting extensions way before it started to become popular and everywhere I go people can't tell that they are fake! I get complimented on them all the time. "WONDERFUL" I recently had to get retrained when I started to lose my cliental I guess from my inadequate work. I originally got a certificate from a well known Eyelash Extension company. The training was good but I realized now that I paid a lot more and received a lot less products. On top of this, the "other" company only taught me single eyelash extensions and nothing else. Because I wanted to get retrained I got to experience 2 company's and two Eyelash extension kits. By far, there is no comparison. Eyelash Canada provided double the amount and their products are the same if not better! But that was the least of my concern. Eyelash Canada taught me so much more. And these fancy eye gel patches, whatever! I use 3M grade surgical tape. I am not here to do a facial I am here to put on the best dam lash extensions. The sound knowledge, techniques, and incredible knowledge of the instructors at Eyelash Canada increased my confidence to a 10/10! I now do not only single eyelash extensions but I am a master at semi-singles, bottom lashes, and well put on the single strip professionally that lasts a week at least ... I luv it. I was in a small group during my training at Eyelash Canada and I can see how these instructors sometimes need to struggle with over arrogant, un appreciative and just .. you know what I mean, students! So ladies and gents "and yes there was a gent in my class, nobody is perfect but this company is amazing! As one over there ads say "do your homework! Investigate, ask a lot of questions .. then sign up for a course. Lastly, it took me 2 weeks to get certified with Eyelash Canada and I am glad they don't just throw their certificates at you just because you paid I am very proud to have mine and don't hide my work! read more

I've been seeing Yvette at Eyelash Canada for 4 years now, for single lashes. I must say, I'm addicted to the look and Yvette's work is the best I've ever come across, here or in the U.S. I work in television and these natural looking lashes are ideal for on-camera work (and of course, off camera as well :), so I am very particular about how they look - Yvette has never disappointed. My eyes are sensitive to certain makeup ingredients so I was a bit apprehensive the first time I had them done, but to my delight, I had no issues with the glue that Yvette used and was thrilled at the end result. The lashes were soft and gorgeous. There was no discomfort during or after they were attached...none. My lashes usually last for 5-6 weeks before I need a refill...and they last because I don't shower with them and I don't rub my eyes. I use makeup wipes to remove any eye makeup and then I wash the rest of my face, therefore they last. About four times a year, I usually get Yvette to remove the old ones and put a whole new, fresh set on. I learned early on that it's very important that she remove them....if I were to try to do it myself, I'd end up with my own lashes in my hands along with the lash extensions....best to leave this to the professional. I recently had my eyelashes done by Yvette at her new downtown Yonge location and I couldn't be more happy w/ the results! Not only is the location SUPER convenient for me but Yvette is so friendly, professional and knowledgeable! It was my first time getting lash extensions and she helped me decided what would be the right look for me and during the appt. we talked about the history of the biz (she was the first to do this in Canada like 8 yrs ago!), other eyelash extension places and her passion for the art of eyelash extensions. Seriously, she is an artist and her work is perfection! I'm a makeup artist so even though I've never had eyelash extensions before I've seen a lot of ppl w/ them...some good and some very bad. Her work is SO GOOD! They look amazing! Yes, she might be a little pricier than what you get w/ all those Group On deals but come on this is your eyes do you really want to risk anything to do w/ your eyes w/ a "deal". I'm sorry to hear the negative reviews .... but I just can't say enough about how wonderful Eyelash Canada is. These ladies have been in the business for years and they really know their stuff. I have been there when the training is going on and there are many trainees who just want to get their certificate and aren't willing to do the pre-training reading or homework. It takes a LOT of practice. In addition, once you are certified, FREE re-training is always available and no other company offers that. Their techniques are tried, tested and true. I would trust many of the other companies out there for training that don't even have a store you can visit, that are only on-line and offer training out of hotel conference rooms. No scam here, just hard working individuals who really care about eyelash application training and their clients. read more

Yvette, as always is the LIT! We all know how great she is with her craft but I also have to commend her customer support staff. It was my first time encoutering logging in to my account so I phoned them for assistance. The agent I talked to assisted me in paying the deposit through their website so they can book my appointment. I didn't mind staying over the phone so long as I get to be booked! The staff was patient in dealing with me because I had to switch cards as the first 2 cards I used did not work. Third time's a charm! I've been getting eyelash extensions for over four years now and I've tried a few in the city but no one has compared to Yvette! In the past I had some issues with them not scheduling me in properly and so i tried other places and was very disappointed. Since Eyelash Canada Inc. has improved their secretary staff as well they have created an online booking system and I no longer have an issue. I'm also able to change my appointment online at anytime. At other locations in the city I have had many issues. I even had my eye scratched and had to take a day off work to go to the eye doctor. There are so many people in the city trying to do eyelashes but are extremely unsafe and do a horrible job. Yvette is by far the best I have found! read more

AMAZING!! THE BEST! I had permanent makeup on my eyebrows as well as eyelash extensions, and I get compliments on both everywhere I go. I work in fitness and all of my coworkers asked for referrals. She was so patient and spent over an hour first temporarily penciling in my eyebrows, we kept them on the thin side and then I went back to add some thickness once I knew I was in love with the shape. The eyelashes look so real from every angle, when I got my hair done my hairdresser was so amazed at how they looked when she was washing my hair. Everytime I go in she is busy with regular clients, and everyone continues to go back for refills on their eyelashes. Altering my review written a couple years ago because now I am being taken to court by Eyelash Canada if I don't take this review down for vocalizing something that was unfair. They claimed I had majorly damaged their business. I will be back to elaborate when I have more time... and no, I did not take it down because I was notified of this "lawsuit" but more so because I was immature and spoke too irrationally... although the facts were still there and extremely valid. Yvette is by far the best in the business. I've gone to many other beauty bars but I have only had the best experiences here and have always been very satisfied with fantastic lashes and permanent makeup. And the permanent makeup is not something you want to mess around with - I trust them 100% to do the best job. They are a bit pricey but you DEFINITELY get what you pay for. I have been going to eyelash canada (formerly xtreme lash canada) for the past year. I have also tried numerous other places, and groupon deals. I must say that i keep returning because Yvette and Ruby really know what they're doing. Their products are approved by the ministry. They don't skimp out on how many lashes they put on. I'm actually a very happy customer. I was originally a model for eyebrow microblading which the student did a good job. I went back after a few months to try out the eyelash extension (which I originally did at another place) and was very pleased with the job. Yvette also did a touch up on my eyebrows at no extra charge because she noticed some lines missing from when my daughter kept touching it when it was healing. I got an amazing set of eyelash extensions, particularly 3D Volume extensions done from Yvette. They look amazing, very thick and long. Also for the longest time I wanted to get permanent eyeliner done as I've seen it on others. So I got both things done, and it looks great as well.
