In April I received a lash set that caused an infection. It was my first time. They sold me on a membership that I could cancel anytime. Complete lie! I called and canceled the membership within 2 days and reported the discomfort in my eye. I have travelled for the summer only to come back and see they have been charging my credit card all summer for $146.00 for a service I do not use and canceled 2 days after. Thats $600.00! Horrible! Fraud and completely wrong that they charge you when you do use the service. Even after I called and canceled. I called the owner NOAH today and he refused to give me back my money. Beware. Karma will come back to them. For every dollar you rip off a customer it will come back to 10times! read more

Oh Kay. Soooo. I go there for a brow tint and shape...I expressed my concern that I have had poor experiences at the location but wanted to give it another try as I live in the area and it would be convenient. My eyebrows are now orange. I called spoke to the manager--was not easy to get a hold of...frequent call backs and asked to email blah blah but I eventually got a hold of them. Service: Lash Lift and Tint Experience: I showed up and was taken in for my appointment on time which I always appreciate. The woman who did my lashes seemed to be knowledgable and and prepared me by talking about what to expect, and showing me what her lashes look like (she also had the lift and tint). That was helpful I was really happy with my lift, I was told it would last 6 weeks + and it lasted about 2 months before some of the lashes started to look less curled. I'm impressed by that! Cane here to clean up my brows, they were perfectly shaped before and my normal girl was away on vacation so i came here. I literally went home and cried because they were so bad. Ive never had my brows shaped so badly before. The customer service is also not up to par and they dont even have a waiting area, you walk in for your appointment greeted sassily by rude staff who tell you theyll be with you shortly and leave you to stand with nowhere to sit and no one offering to take your bag or coat. My brows had a perfect arch before and i just wanted them cleaned up as i communicated to my brow artist. She showed me a stencil of what she would remove and keep and did the complete opposite. There is literally a hole in my eyebrow that ive had to fill in and try to regrow for weeks now. Super disappointing. read more

I went to Mync for eyebrow shaping. I have uneven brows, and didn't mention this because I assumed the stylist would aim for even brows (as mentioned in other reviews). Unfortunately, it wasn't until the very end that she even noticed, suddenly exclaiming that one was higher than the other! I now have extremely unequal eyebrows, with one wayyy higher and thicker than the other. They are much worse than before. What a waste of 7 weeks of growth. It was bright and clean, and they were all very nice, and offered me free lemon water and a little brush, however I will not be returning. Follow up: Not long after I wrote my review, I received both an email AND a hand written card apologizing for my experience, and offering me a free brow shaping. Not sure if I'll go back, but I'm very impressed with this level of customer service! read more

I can't believe no one has added this company before me. They are AMAZING. They're very accomodating, the first time I found these guys was by pure accident. I went to my old eyelash technician who just didn't show up even though I waited at reception for over an hour (this was around 6pm). I ran into Mync asking (more like begging) them if there was any way they could squeeze me in and even though they were closing in 30 minutes one of the technicians stayed behind to do my lashes. Now i've had my lashes done a lot, I've been to Petals and XtremeLashes but these girls are the absolute BEST in this area. The costs are high but worth every dollar. I did a "Born Lucky" and a "Material Girl". A born lucky is $145 and it is 45 lashes per eye, and it was perfect. When I went for a fill (material girl $90 for 30 lashes per eye) 3 weeks later, Lisa cleaned them up and noticed that my lashes are very weak so she used a different type of lash on me. That was approx 2 weeks ago and I think maybe 3 have fallen out. These girls know what they're talking about. In the past I'd pay up to $200 to get them done only to have everything fall out within 2 weeks....no technician ever told me that it was because my lashes were weak and couldn't hold the weight of normal lashes...(why would they every two weeks they'd take 100-200 because I would need a new set not just a fill). Btw if you've never had eyelash extensions before they are VERY addictive, the way they change your face is unbelievable. Obviously its hard to pay $100 every month for lashes but if you can, do it and if you can't do it monthly but can save up for a special occasion I highly suggest you call these ladies....Having eyelash extensions done right is VERY important or you could really damage your lashes and even your eyes.... No question 5/5! LOVE THEM! read more

The experience is a hit or miss depending on who you have. I have only had threading and waxing services done here. I have gotten the High Brow ($23) and Fuzzies ($12) from Lana and a few other staff members. Lana (5/5) is the shining star. She was extremely professional, made sure you left happy with your brows, and you don't feel like you're rushed for time with her. She walks me through the every step so I always feel like I am in great hands with her. In comparison, I had my eyebrows threaded with someone else and there were a few things such as consistency in professionalism that can be improved on. When she asked me to switch my hand position during the threading, I did not hear her immediately, to which she replied an attitude-filled "No?". She also asked me if I slept on my side - how is this important to the task at hand which is my eyebrows? I'd only go back for Lana. read more

All I can say is a huge thank you to MYNC who sorted out what could only be described as the worst eyebrow job in history, I got my eyebrows threaded for the first time about 6 weeks ago and she practically took away every hair I had, I didn't touch them and let them grow back over the last 6 weeks so when I went to Tammy in MYNC yesterday I knew she had a challenge on her hands. She was amazing, talked me through what shape I wanted, explained that it would be a few months before they go back to normal because so much hair had been taken off but she assured me that eventually I would have the results I wanted. Absolutely do not recommend this place at all.. I went yesterday to get my lashes done by this Crystal girl. We had a consultation before she started and we went over what I wanted I said very long and full.. she agree and we got started.. she glued my bottom lashes to my top and had to pry my eyes open at the end which hurt so badly... she also got glue in my eye and the corner of the tape also poked my eye. After all this and she was half way she decided she didn't want to do what I wanted and changed her mind saying "my lashes were damaged and she can only do this and you can buy this serum here for $81 dollars...." I get lashes all the time back home and never have I ever had my lash artist of 30 YEARS say my eyelashes are damaged... I ended up paying $132 dollars for classics When I wanted volume.. and The best part I got back to my hotel and looked online for the price for what she decided to give me and they are on sale for $89.00... so not only did she not give me awful lashes, that i didnt ask for.. like she didn't even put any on she over charged me. Now not only did $130 go down the drain; I still have to put out mor to get these lashes fixed... :( I'm so unhappy and would not recommend this place to ANYBODY Unless you wanna get ripped off and go blind. I got Pretty In Mink lashes done at this place, and let me just say, SOO worth the money! I got compliments on my eyes for weeks after I had them done. My only regret is that I live too far away to get them done there all the time (I live in another country, lol)! The staff is professional but personable, not snotty like alot of other places in downtown Toronto, so you can be confident knowing you're having the best application of lashes, and have a laugh or two with the friendly ladies who work there. I love that they have a full price range of lashes there too, so if there's ever a time when your wallet just won't stretch (admit it girls, we've all been there, lol), you can still head on into Mync, get your One Night Stand lashes expertly applied, and look absolutely fab for a night on the town! I came here, because I live close to yorkville and this is the only place that does tweezing "professionally" or so i thought. I had my eyebrows done by Ivy ( i think i've had her twice ) - to my horror, she plucks my eyebrows and my skin off. It's crazy , i didn't realize it till i got home and looked at the mirror. Another thing I dislike is how they push me to do an eyebrow wax instead of tweezing (feels as though they were lazy to perform the service?) i explained the reason i chose tweezing is because I break out if i wax on my face... They still persisted on waxing (which i declined again) The only person I've liked here was Angelina (?) - But i don't think she works at this location anymore.. So i am doubtful i would return. read more

This is my second time here getting my eyebrows done! Hands down my favourite place. Both times I got my eyebrows done by Azi and she is a doll! assessed the uneven shape of my eyebrows and gave me the perfect arch, she left the few pieces that needed to grow back to complete the shape, she filled it in to make it look complete, and get this ! they even do complimentary make-up (everything from foundation, blush, mascara, gloss). I walked out looking glamorous and happy :). My second visit has been the same- great customer service and great work. My advice personally is, pay a bit more but get great treatment and amazing results. Pay 5 bucks for eyebrows you get 5 dollar looking eyebrows. read more

She's super sweet and very talented at what she does-- my lashes always last me 4-5 weeks before needing a lil touch up... Mync is a little bit more pricey than some of the other lash lounges in the GTA. However, the additional value is apparent when you factor in the location, service and quality. The staff are incredibly stylish, friendly and professional. I've been going there for a few months now and am almost always thrilled with the results! Speaking from someone who has tried the less pricey places, lash extensions and permanent cosmetics are one area where you want to pay a bit more to have it done right because they will last longer and look better! read more

Had my brows done by Crystal today here. I haven't had my brows done in a looong time, so I was a little unsure of what to expect. Crystal was very good at making me feel comfortable and really encouraged me to speak up if I wasn't happy with how they looked! I am very pleased with the results, the salon is very bright and airy and seems clean, quiet. Rating: 3.5-4 I got a lash lift (most severe curl and lift) my lashes are great. I had Polina At the yorkville location! She's very nice and talked me through what she was doing as she was doing it. I'm giving it a "lower" rating only because when I initially called to make my appointment no one answered the phone. I tried 5 times and it took forever. So I called the queen location and they booked it for me. The day of the appointment I was very early and called ahead to see if they had any earlier spots and could accommodate me. They said my stylist was booked back to back and that there was no one who could. Which I think is understandable. However I got to my appointment half an hour early and my stylist wasn't there yet. She walked in 2 minutes before my appointment time started. Now do not get me wrong, I understand that she's just coming in but I would rather the receptionist tell me that she hasn't started for the day yet or whatever it was rather than telling me she was booked back to back. I just felt it was a bit dishonest. I work in a hair salon and people totally understand if they can't be accommodated earlier because their stylist wasn't there yet. Also I found it awkward that the other stylist just stood close by gossiping about a client (my eyes were closed so my hearing heightened) read more

I had my second appt at MYNC today with Azaceh and she is amazing. She is warm and welcoming upon arrival. She remembered my name when she greeted me. She had made notes on my account and was able to remember what kind of lashes she previously used and how many. I appreciated her professionalism on those matters. I've been to other salons where as a repeat customer the stylist doesn't remember my name, or smile to greet me, or remember what service I had done beforehand. Azi's customer service skills are fabulous and make me feel valued as a client. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend her. read more

Truly horrible customer service. The staff here do not care about their clients at all. I've been to many different salons for various lash services and this is where I received the worst service. Many of their staff do not even know the services and cannot answer any questions. Today I arrived 10 minutes late for my appointment because of a huge subway delay and I had emailed them before my appointment time to let them know. Upon arriving, after a 1.5 hour commute, they refused to do my lash treatment because it would take an hour and they did not want to stay 10 minutes past closing time...Truly ridiculous, as I let them know what the issue was that caused me to be late, and it was only 10 minutes. I had been there to get my lash lift atleast 5 times and their staff could not stay an extra 10 minutes when I was already there? Horrible customer service. read more

So sad, I wanted to badly to get my eyebrows done here (because of the reviews) I let them grow for 1 whole month :( I had my appointment today at 3:30 :) I arrived early, at 3:20 and waited...and waited....and waited 25 mins went by and I was still waiting my turn :( another person walked in and they took her in right away!!! WTF?!? Sorry but my time is valuable, if I make an appointment I expect to be seen within 5 to 10 mins MAX. So after 25 mins....I just walked out and now into another establishment to have my eyebrows styled. Funny how another girl who just walked in was taken while I kept having to wait-this is not how one runs a business!!! After my first review I was sent a cute note from MYNC, apologizing for what happened and offering a free highbrow if I'd like to return. After a very long time visiting other places I still was very unhappy with my brows....so I thought I really need to give MYNC a chance. I had my apt today and I have to say it was an AMAZING experience!!! Completely opposite experience from my first :) as soon as I walked in the girls were super friendly and my stylist took me in right away (Tammy) she was very friendly, listened to what I'd like my brows to look like and gave me advice on how to achieve it. I'm new to this whole lash thing so a few months ago I decided to give it a try. This place is glam, glitsy and girly! I love that all the girls who work here are so bubbly and make you feel comfortable the moment you walk through the door. Might I add that they are busy busy busy with traffic flowing in and out of their doors? so be sure to make an appointment! My first experience was with Elizabeth and she did such a great job on my lashes that I've been back to see her since. She walked me through the whole thing and even made recommendations as to how many lashes I should have per eye and what I should probably get for a touch up. They send you off with a little brush for your lashes and all the other products you could possibly need are on their shelves ready for purchase. The only reason I knocked off a star is because I didn't find the seats to be very comfortable as my neck was starting to hurt after a while... Otherwise, I love Mync! read more

I went to Mync to get my lashes done and when I realized that they're now offering waxing services I thought I would get my bikini wax done too while I'm there. First off, the receptionist gave me attitude when I asked to extend my appointment to include the bikini wax, and then she walked over to an estetician and they started whispering, and made me feel SUPER awkward. They had me do the bikini wax first before the lashes because they were "fitting me in" because the appointment was so last minute and blah blah... anyway, it turned out that the same girl that was whispering with the receptionist was my waxer, which again was very awkward. Because I'm suppose to feel comfortable letting someone see my nether regions after talking shit about me for booking a last minute appointment? Urg. As for the bikini wax itself - I don't like soft wax, It hurts more then hard wax. But that's just my personal preference. While she was waxing all she talked about was how tired and busy she was that day. I felt like asking her "Why are you working here if you hate your life so much!?" Honestly, the entire staff had a bad attitude and just didn't seem like they wanted to be there. I have been here twice so far to get my eyebrows and lip threaded. The first time around I had a great experience. They took there time with my eyebrows and used a pencil to draw out the shape beforehand. However it depends on who you are working with. I went the second time around and the job was done extremely quickly and I broke out on my upper lip and around my eyebrows which is very rare for my skin. A solid 5/5 for this brow bar. I am SO impressed with their highbrow service , it is so affordable and an absolute treat for your brows. I booked a last min appt because I was in the area wasting time before work. Khani the cutest little fireball greeted me by name at the door and informed me that she will be doing my highbrow service today. Boy am I happy that she did my eyebrows she is so talented and is super helpful when teaching you about your eyebrows. We went through a full analysis of my eyebrows and she mapped them out on my face and told me what she thought would look good and asked me what I wanted. The entire service took about 30 minutes and the whole time I felt like I was an extremely clean environment and such a happy place. I will absolutely return for more services such as their eyelash perm and make up application I definitely want to thank Khani for making my experience at mync so enjoyable!! read more

Found Mync on google and then yelp and I booked my appointment for a "Hibrow" which is basically an eyebrow shaping. Melissa did my brows for me, and she was amazing. Her, along with all the other gels that were there are so welcoming, funny, and cute. As for my brows, I'm in love, I've always been very picky and obsessed with my eyebrows, and Melissa did a fantastic job. She first cleans the area with rose water, waxes away the fuzzies, and then begins to tweeze each hair to further shape the brow. She then trimmed them, and applies tea tree oil. As if that wasn't enough, she then used concealer to hide any of the redness, and also redid my makeup surrounding my brows so I don't have the dreaded white patch from freshly waxes skin. Then to finish off, she filled in my brows. Overall, I had the most wonderful experience at Mync and am already looking forward to my next appointment! read more

I went to MYNC Yorkville to get my eyebrows waxed and my experience from beginning to end was great. I was even late about 8mins and they were so cool about it. I was given a little eyebrow brush and a free shaping since it was my birthday month. The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 was because when I left, I wasn't able to leave a tip on my credit card or make an appointment for my next visit because the computers were offline. Overall, I would def return and I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a proper shaping. read more

I just moved to Toronto from Los Angeles and I was freaked out about finding a new Brow Lady. Thankfully I discovered the lovely Amanda at Mync Lash Lounge on Yonge Street. The location is a bit of a schlep for me, but it was well worth it! Amanda was professional, friendly and chic. She threaded my brows and they look amazing!! Service was great. I was disappointing at how long the lashes last. I was told they would last 2-3 weeks. They lasted 7 days. I took all the precautions, bought the solution to help maintain the glue, didn't get them wet for 3 days, no make up, no cleaning face, etc. They lasted 7 days and are now about 1/2 gone. For the price, I would not recommend it since they do not last. I am not sure what needs to be done differently. read more

I had lash extensions before done by different stylists but let me tell you if you care about your health ask questions before you jump into this pricey beauty disaster. The web side claims that their glue is nontoxic , has no fumes and can be done if you pregnant. All stylists wear the masks and IF you ask them why they will say its their ethics . The glue burns your nose and eyes , according to the stylist it has no smell but if you ask why it burns they will tell you it's from the fumes. I had burning in the eye and ended up with one eye being red and optometrist visit . Chemical abrasion from the glue , the ingridients and name of the glue they use is a " professional secret" as per stylist . I wonder what health Canada would say about it ! read more

Did not enjoy my experience here at all, and solely due to my technician. I went to the new uptown location and dispite having arrived in the area 10 minutes before my appointment could not find a parking spot and was 6 minutes late, no ones fault but my own. However, when I entered the receptionist was lovely but my technician was so unfriendly that I could not tell if she were upset because I was late or if she were just a capital B. I did not enjoy my time in her chair at all, I know I was a little tardy but I'm still paying to be treated this way. read more

Quite expensive but worth it. The girls are quite professional and respond very quickly via email to get appointments scheduled. I've been coming here for a few months and always get my lashes done by Kelly - she makes them look amazing right after they're done. However, lashes don't last quite as long as advertised (really do need refills every 2-3 weeks) and sometimes individual lashes get flipped around so I have to manually remove them, but compared to other horror stories I've heard I won't be switching anytime soon! read more
