She is very patient and has a cheerful personality which puts a BIG smile on my face during my visit :) I felt very at ease in her hands. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable - overall, a very pleasant experience, thank you :) During the comprehensive eye examination, I got my pupils dilated. Be sure to bring a pair of sunglasses with you if you're driving - you will be sensitive to lights! Or you can purchase a fashionable pair in their dispensary. The clinic carries a great selection of brand name eyewear and sunglasses! We also did something called Optomap wide-field retinal scan, which carefully and thoroughly checks the inside of the eye for any hidden eye diseases, monitors suspicious areas and changes from year to year, and confirms that everything is healthy! During the visit, I also learned that Dr. Tang specializes in contact lens wear, LASIK consultation, and Ortho-K (AOK) overnight corrective contact lens for myopia control in children. You can also make an appointment online anytime using their real-time schedule - very convenient and easy to use. I went to a trendy DT Toronto spot for my glasses and while the styles were great and the service was thorough, there was a disconnect with me having to go somewhere else to get my eyes tested before choosing my frames and lenses - a Wal-mart no less. I walked in and wanted to ask about the headaches I'd been having since getting my new glasses and Dr. Allyson took my glasses and ran them under a special machine to examine exactly what my prescription was and what they were comprised of. Thankfully everything checked out and Dr. A explained that because this was a slightly stronger prescription than I was used to that headaches were normal and to be expected. While I was happy with the individual service I received from both the Wal-mart optometrist and the store I purchased my glasses at, I think in future I would prefer to visit Dr. Allyson so I know that every part of my experience is in-house at one location. I was suspicious that I might be being up sold. After over a year there was scratch in one lense and the Eyeglass Factory replaced my lenses under their special extended warranty. They were absolutely terrific about this and I hadn't expected this level of service. I didn't even realize that the warranty was there. My prescription changed this year and I just ordered new glasses today and the newest optician to join their staff was absolutely terrific. She very carefully explained some of the newer features and options and I'm looking forward to see how blue filter sense filters will improve or protect my vision going forward. I'm pretty much careful with my money (maybe if I had more I could be more careless) but in this case selling me on the more expensive lenses was the right thing to do. I'm sure they won't be ready. They kept telling me the original pair would be ready on a certain day and they weren't. They lie to you to appease you. They never return messages. She is a teenager. They were unable to fix this issue because we didn't purchase their warranty protection! My son in law fixed it. They didn't stand by what they sell. Having a nice looking store with unknowledgeable staff and poo customer service skills is not enough. Word of mouth spreads faster than any advertisement can! COSCO stands behind what they sell, we found Out. All members of our family have moved their business there. I still love the frames I got two years ago, so a lens replacement made the most sense. Most places quoted really high prices for my prescription strength, but this spot was quite reasonable. Ramandeep was skilled and great at adjusting my glasses so they fit my face perfectly. I also brought in a couple of other frames that were misaligned that I didn't purchase there, and she fixed them up in a jiffy. One pair had been badly twisted after I accidentally knocked them into a door, and the few optical stores I asked were hesitant to help in case they break it. She managed to adjust them so they're at least wearable again - what a pro! From the brief look they have a nice curated selection of designer frames I see including sunglasses too. Though I didn't look too closely since I wasn't in the market for new eye glasses but they look nice lots of neutral ones I can see wearing. Note the entrance looks small, I accidentally went into the next door convenience store almost.
