I got a chopped beef sandwich, which used to be filled to bursting with meat. Now, it had less meat than a White Castle slider. It looked like someone thought it was a condiment when they applied it. I also had the buffalo chicken fries. These were still pretty good. I can tell that the chicken is cheaper and the cheese is lower quality, but I don't feel cheated like with the sandwich. If this trend continues, I see them out of business before too much longer. You can't charge premium prices for dollar store food. At this time, I would avoid eating here. The convenience store and gas station I don't have anything to say about, as I have not been in there for a while. The food I got today was delivered.

Short version: Stopped here when falling asleep on the way to Dallas. Long version: The last time I stopped here was after a very very long drive from Kansas City to Dallas when I was already half asleep. I was literally falling asleep on the road and it was very dangerous so I pulled in here and had a nap. What a lovely nap it was. I was a little freaked out because I was way too tired to be driving, but this nap sorted me right out. Nothing bad happened, and I got some gas afterwards which was nice. Then I went to pick up the Goddess from the Dallas bus station. She should not be riding the bus. I'm aware of this. But when it's the only way to get a porn star to you (she doesn't drive unless I drive her), you do it. Am I right. Anyway it's a good gas station and fuel was priced about average. It's a little remote and scary in the middle of the night though. Definitely 5 stars because I have good memories of it from several stops here now.

The ladies behind the kitchen counter are always accommodating and friendly, and they're quick to get the order made and served to the table if eating in. There's half a dozen tables near the cashiers counter that will seat up to 6-8 each. The tables are near windows so you can sit and watch outside too. It's busy, and there's most usually lots of people going in and out, getting fuel or bait. Stop for whatever is needed but if you desire a meal they certainly have worthwhile sandwiches.
