They have a lot of firearm stuff for how small their gun section is. Most importantly, they do NOT price gouge and only raise prices based on industry/inflation levels. They have the best layaway policy I've ever seen at any pawn shop. It's allowed me to buy guns I likely wouldn't have been able to buy at other, larger stores. I've sold a few guns to the shop too. They always quote better prices than than other pawn shops or gun stores. The employees there are also great. They are very personable and made me feel like a regular after going only a few times when I first moved to SA years ago. That actually made me become a regular. Awesome little shop. Jonathan has always been a people friendly, stand up, respectful and respectable professional that quite frankly, if he left, Bill's Pawn would lose nearly all of its interpersonal charm, personality and feels-like-family appeal. He makes every visit and every encounter feel as though you received a personal invitation to purchase, pawn, sell, or simply browse. Long story short, there are some bright competent employees at Bills, a few who may come across as less than motivated or thrilled to assist, but all in all, from what I've observed & experienced, Jonathan keeps Bills solid and I believe he is most likely the lead factor in shaping Bills Pawn, as it stands today, into my most preferred pawn shop in San Antonio. Next high priced items were the Bose subwoofers labeled as surround sound system. How is it surround with only a subwoofer. 3 of them labeled the same only one had a sound bar but that still does not make it surround sound.
