Charged me for new materials and went to home depot to pick stuff up after quoting the job but he used scrap pieces of wire he had and ones he removed from the other areas of my house to wire new outlets in the garage.. read more

After determining my home power mast or utility feed to the mast was the issue, he rewired my breaker box to restore power everywhere in the house except for one 220v circuit running an electric dryer. However I had an older unused gas dryer in the basement. He tested it. Still runs. Just needs the gas supply line attached. Fingers crossed. He also dressed up an iffy connector box I pointed out. I had a technician install some outdoor lighting. The quality of all aspects of the project was shoddy: the supports he installed leave the lights badly sagging, the wires left to plug in the lights aren't long enough to reach the outlets they're meant to plug into, and he even left some of the zip ties used to attach the lights to the guidewires uncut. We had gotten a quote for a job and after the job was complete, they emailed that it would be $300 more, no explanation as to the immense increase in price. It was not straightforward to identify the root cause - he painstakingly checked each outlet multiple times as well as circuit breaker panel and methodically identified the issue and fixed it. Decent service albeit a bit overpriced. I chose them because they had the first availability. I had a bathroom fan replacement done, which went well. Unfortunately, the second task of installing the SimpliSafe video doorbell was not done due to technical complications, voltage-related or otherwise. This was despite multiple trial/error runs, and is probably because of my home wiring. So we went with a regular doorbell install, which is not the worst thing. My main concern is that, for this rate, I would expect someone to have better knowledge/equipment to at least track down the problem and maybe solve it.
