We listen to it on Alexa by telling her: "Play K, O, N, G , 93.5 FM." Or on our phones play live right off the website after a Google search for  KONG FM Kauai. They're one of the reasons Kauai is such a close-knit and conscious community. They give a voice to…read morethe voiceless. Their hosts are diverse, from Radio Annie's blues show to the guy who spent an hour exploring his theory that the Hawaiian Constitution is subordinate to the whims of the descendants of the Hawaiian royal family. You'll always learn something new from KKCR. It should be the only station you listen to while driving around Kauai.

They also announce when lost animals are found. Kauai is a small island where everybody knows everybody, and you totally get that intimate vibe from this station. The station is run by volunteers and supported y donations and the aforementioned local sponsors. The music is good too. A lot of times it's Hawaiian music, but there's also a blues hour, a mixtape show, and some other stuff. They play music that features chickens lol. (If you didn't know, Kauai is overrun with chickens. It's like pigeons in US cities. but chickens. instead of pigeons.)
