Their hosts are diverse, from Radio Annie's blues show to the guy who spent an hour exploring his theory that the Hawaiian Constitution is subordinate to the whims of the descendants of the Hawaiian royal family. You'll always learn something new from KKCR. It should be the only station you listen to while driving around Kauai.

I enjoyed listening to this station during my stay in Kauai. It's a community radio station, so you…read morewon't be hearing ads from big chain businesses--only local small businesses. They also announce when lost animals are found. Kauai is a small island where everybody knows everybody, and you totally get that intimate vibe from this station. The station is run by volunteers and supported y donations and the aforementioned local sponsors. The music is good too. A lot of times it's Hawaiian music, but there's also a blues hour, a mixtape show, and some other stuff. They play music that features chickens lol. (If you didn't know, Kauai is overrun with chickens. It's like pigeons in US cities. but chickens. instead of pigeons.)
