My son's flag football coach did no practices. said his "boys" (3 or 4 kids on the team) Just came off an intense season of something. so this flag football was just for fun. which I agree with having fun. but my son had never played before. he didn't know any rules or anything. With no practice he didn't learn anything. it was a waste of money. my daughter's volleyball coach only did a few practices but was not a good coach. She was very quiet and soft spoken. Did not teach well at all. She was good at the sport but not to coach. My daughter also didn't know the rules or even how the game is played. Again, I felt like it was a waste of money. One other issue for flag football was I called the weather line and it said canceled for the last game. However, everyone showed up and still played. Was frustrating to say the least. I just received an email notifying me it's time to sign up for sports. Otherwise I wouldn't have even been on here. For a parent who struggles financially, it's upsetting that when I choose to spend money it ends up being a bust. My daughter felt so embarassed that she didn't learn or know how to play that she refused to play the sport at all now. I was hoping that it was just one bad coach but after having both not be very good it makes me nervous to sign up again.
