The massage was very good, until she used her elbow up and down both sides of my spine and climbed…read moreon my back and walked up and down my back with her knees. I told her it hurt a little- which was me trying not to whimp out, but I don't think she understood me, because she kept right on. I couldn't relax, because it hurt so much that I kept tensing up. By the time she was finished an hour later, my back was tender to the touch and I was bruised. That night it was very uncomfortable to sleep on my back and I had to take pain ibuprofen for the pain and swelling. The massage loosened up my muscles, but did not break up the knots and pressure points I was hoping it would. Maybe after many sessions it would. This was the medium massage, so maybe the softer one would be better. The massage therapist was friendly and the price was reasonable, but I think I need a massage that's not so tough. If you like very hard massages, then this would be perfect for you. She really gave me workout, I was glad when it was over!
