As for what they sell, there's fruit, cocktails and food available. We stopped by twice during our stay in Varenna and were able to get almost everything we needed. We had hoped to also get a bottle of Aperol, but they didn't sell it. We did procure fresh fruit, bottled water, and ingredients to make our own foccacia sandwiches for the road.

We started with the tuna tartar, it was excellent. They split the dish for us and plated it so nice, such service. We had ice cream with coffee poured over it, nice cap on the dinner. Than they brought out limoncello on the house, perfect ending. We would go back if we had one more night. They only speak Italian, so I didn't understand all of the menu. They have a different menu every day with 2 starters and 2 main courses, you can choose one each for 23 Fr and they bring tap water for free as soon as you sit down. What I didn't like was that they served carb-heavy lunches on both days I was there. Too bad they serve white wheat pasta in a restaurant like this! Whole weat or pasta made from beans or lentils would be nice. Or quinoa as a substitute. Also brown rice instead of white would suit me better. I would also appreciate a menu with the smoothies and freshly squeezed juices they offer. Good to see mostly locals in here. Everything is vegan except cow's milk for coffee if I understood them right. And 100% organic as it says on the receipt.

Imaginative and Delicious Gourmet Vegan Food at a Reasonable Price…read more My spouse and I now have a favorite new vegan restaurant and we wish, with all our hearts, that we could transport it to where we live. We found this gem in Turin (Torino) Italy. The name makes it sound like a place where you would get sprouts only and the like-- "Soul Kitchen." However, what we encountered was an amazing gourmet vegan restaurant. The food was so imaginative and beautiful, we were amazed. We ate three times there in two days--lunch and two dinners. Among the many dishes that are reinvented Italian fare, they do fantastic dishes with seitan and you feel as if you have entered seitan heaven. We recommend The Napoleon, for the creativity of its preparation with the slight flavor of blood oranges is beyond compare. They also have the most terrific complete onion filled with pasta (which tastes a little like risotto). The restaurant itself has a comfortable atmosphere and you can go casual or dressed up. We did not expect something so unique and satisfying. We "travel for vegan food" and have eaten in many many vegan places in Europe, Canada, Turkey, Brazil and The United States, and this is definitely in the top three if not, the top one. In addition, our server Ricardo was so welcoming, friendly, and helpful that he made the whole experience even more delightful. You must try this place if you love food or if you are vegan or if you want a joyful eating experience. It is not to be missed.

I sought out this mostly plant based restaurant before visiting Milan. Made reservations tonight…read moreand so happy I did. Service was friendly and as usual most Italians speak English and were happy to converse in our language. I need to learn Italian! The wine list is excellent. I tried an Italian Gewürztraminer which was exceptional. Also tried an Italian Sauvignon Blanc equally unique. They have some omni dishes I think with fish, but I only looked at the clearly marked vegan options which were plentiful. From first courses to dessert, everything was hot and well made. The interior is cozy and beautifully designed. You can come from work or dress casual. Come as you are. I'll be back to eat and drink at this gem.

They needed a little extra help this night as I think there was only one server. There was also a private party in the back. Wine selections are mostly organic (if not all). Reasonable prices too. We ordered a bread plate, cheese plate, seitan steak, and pizza (not shown). When we sat down, we were told there was no vegan mozzarella. This changed a few dishes for sure. The pizza would have been much better with it, but was still very good. The cheese platter and seitan steak were stand outs for us. The vegan cheeses made by the owner would make any omnivore go vegan. In fact, we came back the next day to purchase cheese and dessert to go. Soooo worth it. I wish they shipped to the US. Had we stayed longer, we would have eaten here every other day. We will definitely be back. This is the best vegan Italian restaurant in Milan!
