This past Friday I had an entirely different type of experience that will cost his practice a patient. I had an appointment scheduled months in advance for Friday 10/18 at 10:30 am. I STILL HAVE THE CARD. I had received text message reminders and a phone call reminder all leading up to this appointment. I scheduled myself to work from home that day so that I could go to this appointment for what I assumed was a cleaning. Due to road construction on my way there I would say that I arrived roughly 8 or 9 minutes late. I'm going to say that this amount of time late should NOT have been a problem because when I go there I literally NEVER walk straight into the appointment. I always have to wait!! Your time is no more valuable than mine is. Also, most PROFESSIONAL businesses give a courtesy amount of time too allow people to get to the appointment. Some of us actually work for a living. But I digress... Anyway, I walk up to the desk, give the receptionist my name and she says I don't have you on my schedule for today. I said well I certainly have an appointment. She keeps looking at the screen and asking me if I'm sure and to give her my name again. She still couldn't find me. Then I showed her my text message reminder. She then gets up and walks toward the back into the office and starts engaging in conversation with other women (one was definitely a hygienist whom she asked to do a cleaning for me) because she (the hygienist) said well she's not on the schedule and she's 15 minutes late even if she was so NO I cannot see her. This was said in a nasty tone while looking in my direction. I HEARD her say this as she was standing in a doorway, casually chatting up other women. She was clearly NOT busy. I said no, "She" (meaning myself) was not 15 minutes late and if it weren't such a Scooby Doo mystery of why I'm here I could have been getting seen by now. They very nastily told me I couldn't be seen that day and that I had been removed or crossed off the schedule because I was late. You have got to be joking. I'm sure you clowns have cameras. Check them and see how late I was and don't use that as an excuse for your ineptitude and unprofessionalism. I was told I could reschedule. I said I would do no such thing since you all wasted my valuable time. Dr. Fabey, your practice is only as good as your staff. read more

Called several times. Sent a text. Even asked my husband to call. This happened over the course of a week plus, and nothing. I even sent a simple text "are you accepting new patients. Please let me know." All they had to do was send back a simple yes or no answer. So to be sure, I cannot really rate them based on anything but their absolute lack of response to all of our requests for a phone call. Perhaps it was for the best because I was able to then give up and locate a dental office that is hands down the best I have ever been to. read more

If I could give this dentist no stars ! They're liars and they cheat people out of money. Alice is the worst hygienist I ever had. . don't let her touch your mouth ! you'll be sore for days. I payed and told meet with the manager . I told the manager Alice hurt me. My gums were bleeding and She didn't clean my teeth correctly. The manager offered me to come back the next day and get it re-done but I had to work. they had no appointments till the following week. So I made me a appointment and when I was leaving the managers office, I said thank you I'm glad you helped me , because I was never gonna come back here again. She says d she was so sorry, and then she offered me a free cleaning in six months. I said thank you and left. When I asked if someone could put it in writing, they changed there minds. They said in six months they would only give me 20% off. not a free cleaning, they're liars ! Thats bad business! feybe the actual dentist called me and fought with me . He said he doesn't know me and I trust his manager. I said your manager either has Alzheimer's or she's a liar because that's what she told me . he said no this cleaning was free and next month you get 20% off. I said oh no this cleaning I already paid for last week , it wasn't done the right the first time she said this was free because I already paid for it . and the next one was gonna be free . horrible experience I had with Alice , the manager, and the owner. .. don't go here they're liars and thieves. Don't trust them. They're money hungry and they don't care about their patiences! I sent many people here over the years, I have to pay cash because I have no dental insurance. I had a hip replacement I had to take anabiotic's last week and this week because of their negligence, they don't care. There liars ! they're a terrible do not go here. read more

today was my first visit which I had no wait for they got me right in , I explained I'm a nervous patient and once they knew that they were all so kind , even the girls at the front desk were so sweet , the dental assistant was wonderful and I probably squeeze her hand too hard while in the chair as for Dr Matthews he went over everything in such detail and was very understanding of my nerves in general , even though I am scared and have to return they gave me full confidence that I am in good hands . The entire staff is very welcoming and professional. Dental rooms are extremely clean and well kept. All of my appointments are confirmed electronically and reminders are sent out which are extremely helpful. Dentists and hygienists are very careful and explain what treatments or procedures they are doing prior to executing. Awesome job and I highly recommend ! read more

My son had a 2:30 appointment today. I picked him up at school at 2:15 and was there on time. The receptionist said he was all checked in. After 30 minutes, I went up to ask if he will be seen soon and I just got a run around. Ends up, instead of the receptionist "checking me in" she put that we were a "no show". Then I was told that maybe if we waited until 3:30, there would be a no show and they would be able to get him in. Then, I had to leave for work, leaving my son in the waiting room and had to call my mom to pick him up. I had my phone off bc we were in the dentist office, but received a "missed call" at 2:37 asking if I wanted to reschedule, since we didn't show up.. There were no apologies or admitting any mistakes. They basically made it sound like, well, you're in luck bc we can squeeze you in tomorrow at 4:30. I will be dentist shopping. I went in with tooth pain. I previously had a filling done by this office on that specific tooth and the dentist at that time told me I may need a root canal down the line. I saw a different dentist this time , Dr. Tazik. He said I most likely need a root canal and to go to an endodontist because they just get it done "quicker". I was given a couple of phone numbers. Upon calling not only the numbers given but many others, I was unable to get an appointment that was not a month away. At this point about a week has passed and my pain had gotten progressively worse. I called Fabey dental and asked what I should do. The receptionist told me she would talk to Tazik and see if he could do it since I was in pain. They were supposed to call me to let me know the next business day. I called them around noon because I hadn't heard back. The receptionist told me she was sorry but Dr. Tazik said "it was too extensive and to keep calling around". Wow. I found a new dentist (not endodontist) that was willing to do the root canal and immediately prescribed me antibiotics (Wolfe Dental Spa helped me).I was in excruciating pain by the time I was able to get the root canal done and Fabey dental did not help me like they should have. No antibiotics and no good referral to someone that could see me quickly. I will never return to Fabey. Thank goodness for the new dental office that did the "extensive" root canal with no problems! Considering I was not a new patient of Fabey and a new one somewhere else is a big fail for Fabey in my opinion. read more

Refused to see me because of my job as a flight attendant. They said I had to either quarantine for 14 days or take a rapid COVID test since my job takes me out of the state of Pennsylvania. Did they ask their other patients if they attended large maskless gatherings during the holidays? So, I went to Palmer Smile and Dr. Farrell. They were happy to help me, while still taking all of the necessary safety precautions. Fabey Dental lacks intelligence and common sense. People who stay in the area and attend large gatherings and going to big box stores are more likely to catch COVID than I am at work. read more

Dr. Mathews is the best dentist we've experienced in our lifetimes (I'm 64 and wife is 63). Never feel the needle, whether upper or lower, which is a first for us. Wonderful demeanor as well. Admin/insurance folks also worthy of mention. They are advocates for their patients when it comes to dealing with all the insurance nonsense. This is a nice clean, well-kept practice. The dentists are nice and do nice work. This is the only dental practice I have ever been to that does not check your insurance for you BEFORE you get the work done. I was under the impression the work I came in for would be covered under my insurance. Well, it wasn't, and now I have $800 in charges to pay off. Yes, I suppose it is my fault, but I guess I've gotten lax and used to the fact that all other places will check and double check for you so you don't run up charges you cannot afford. Let the buyer beware here, don't trust them, especially when it comes to checking your plan before you run up charges. read more

They called me almost a YEAR later to tell me I have an unpaid bill of $125.00 from a consultation. When I asked to speak to the manager because I was unaware of this charge they said they would call me back and never did. Now i'm receiving a letter in the mail from a debt collector with no explanation of this bill. In fact when I left that day they said I owed nothing. BEWARE! THEY WILL CHARGE YOU LATER ON! read more

Upon arrival for my routine cleaning I was told that i needed full mouth xrays. I responded that I did not want to expose myself to X-ray radiation. I stated that I would sign a waiver so I would be responsible for any unseen decay. The supervisor and hygienist refused to do the cleaning without X-rays. They stated the American dental association recommends X-rays yearly. Upon researching ada, they actually recommend X-rays as infrequently as once every ten years, stating that the radiation danger accumulates with each exposure. Should I not have a say in my health decisions? Not at Fabey Dental. This week I received a letter from their office stating I and my family are no longer welcome at their practice. read more

Went there for some dental work... the work was good, dentist was very nice. Everything went well...UNTIL...they sent me a huge bill that they said my insurance would not cover, after they told me they would and did the work. I called my insurance company and they said all they were waiting for from them was a certain form and they would take care of it. O called the dentist office and told them what the insurance co said and they said they would look into it. YEAH...i'm stuck paying this huge bill. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! read more

This is a 5 star dental practice! Such nice people, very calm atmosphere and great dentists. I'm sorry it took me so long to make an appointment. If you need work done, they give you the different ways to go about it and then discuss it with you and allow you to make your own decision about how you want to handle the problem. Initially came to this practice because they accepted my insurance and are reasonably close to home. I required some expensive work at the time and going to my out-of-network, non-participating dentist was not a favorable choice from an economic perspective. I was assigned Dr. Mathews. I couldn't be more pleased with that luck of the draw. I say with all conviction and no exaggeration, Dr. Mathews has now jabbed me around four times or so and I have never felt the needle! Don't know his secret but I wish he would spread his technique around. He is also an enjoyable personality and I believe him to be a rock-solid dentist. My initial plan was to use my other dentist for the routine stuff and save Fabey Dental for the "big jobs;" those instances where my insurance would save me a bundle. I've since dropped my previous dentist entirely and am very pleased to feel completely confident in my choice to do so. read more
