There is a very limited supply of notions, like a few spools of generic thread. Nothing to write home about. They also carry some jewelry made by someone who has knocked off someone else's designs and sells them as her own. (Not sure if they are aware of it but they probably should have checked so they aren't liable for promoting copyright infringement.) I really wanted to like this shop. Disappointed.

It's only open 3 days a week but the owners will open the store for you if you need to come by on a day/time they're usually closed. Just give them a call first. Be advised that they do not carry modern or contemporary fabrics. No Kaffe Fassett, no batiks, no Cotton + Steel. They have lots of 1800 repro but it's not the drab, somber kind. It's the gorgeous kind. Lots of wool as well. Kits, embellishments, pearl cotton, patterns, and all manner of cute sewing accessories can be found here. Their pricing was very good and the fabrics were very nice. I will definitely join them on Facebook and I hope I can go there again some day. There are only few places to buy fabric in this area and this is the best one. I have had 3 quilts that I cut and sewed together and had her machine quilt them. The mother has had a dozen or so quilted by the owner. She is intelligent and nice and very helpful. She will help you pick fabrics that go well together and she even teaches classes if you would like to learn how to quilt or a special pattern. She makes vests, jackets, pot holders, you name it and she will quilt it. Prices are a little higher than JoAnn or Walmart, but you are getting experience with her. There are no coupons. But being one of the only quilt shops for 100 miles you can get away with it. I have stopped having my quilts done here in town and send them here because she is so good and she is actually a little less expensive to quilt items than shops in the KCMO area.
