Fabric was the first club that I really got addicted to. Now its the turn of my younger sister to spend her nights with the immense sound system pounding through her. I must say I am slightly resentful. Apart from the overcrowded hours from 12 till 3 when dancing and moving other than with the mass of the crowd is a luxury, Fabric is the perfect club. The DJ line up is always the best, playing music impossible to hear without needing to dance and with many different rooms and areas there is no chance of getting bored. Fabric knows its popularity and so drinks and entry prices reflect this. The queue outside can get ridiculous and so I tend to get there early and make the most of the hours before it packs out. I have never had a bad night at Fabric , making it in my opinion, probably the best club in London. read more

Wow. I'm sure this place still has its devotees on both sides of the is-it-cool fault line, but after, say, 1999, I can't imagine crossing the threshold of this place. What had once been the centre of cool, party-all-night London is now a sad reminder of what a hotspot is like when the nots take over. I've heard Fabric Nightclub was rated as the second best club in the world (after one club in Ibiza) in a special magazine .... It's at least worth trying it! You'll have an unforgettable experience. Interesting people. Several rooms with different types of music. Great djs. Just give yourself to the music and lights and feel free! That's what it is about. Tickets can be bought on the internet -then you don't have to queue. Otherwise, if you're not there in time (around 10 o'clock), sometimes queuing can take couple of hours or more. So the thing about Fabric is that its almost like a rite of passage for an ex-pat to visit here once they're in London. Beyond that however, I'm not sure if I'd ever frequent this place. Its very expensive, very large and often very crowded, which are three things I try to stay away from in terms of nightlife. I do have to say though that I've enjoyed many a FabricLive DJ set so who knows, maybe on my next trip to the UK i'll make a return here but for now, I think the memories of my last one are enough for me to go on for a while. read more

Eh, wasn't impressed. I was there for a private work event/costume party. The bar was mobbed and the most exciting part of the place was outside in the smoking section. Probably would have been a whole different experience on a public night. read more

This is the place to go to see all your favourite DJ's and MCs. Has the best and biggest line ups of all the clubs in London. The sound system is so immense that the floor vibrates in the main room. Earplugs may be a good idea if you go regularly and wish to keep your ears in tact. Drinks are hurrendously overpriced. Would reccommend getting slaughtered before you go if that is the route you wish to take. Unisex toilets with many wide eyed youngsters is a lasting memory. read more

Fabric used to be my favourite club in Europe. The first time I went to London was probably because of it...the experience was overwhelming: I had never listened to such a good sound system and good music. The place itself is very cool and it takes some time not to get completely lost in there. There are 3 rooms, the 3rd one is definitely my personal favourite and where I've seen lots of people go wild. That was 3-4 years ago, a couple of things changed in the meanwhile: 1) I've been here a few times lately and a couple of nights sucked, 2) I recently went to Berghain, that changed my definition of clubbing. read more

For the hardcore raver, this club is heaven! try your best to get on the guestlist, because the queues are absolutely huge and you could be waiting for hours! like most clubs in london, drinks prices are high but the experience is worth it. don't get me wrong i love fabric!! its open till very very late has some of the most exclusive D&B and electro DJ this world has to offer spread out over 3 rooms. fabric toilets have been voted best toilets in London for a nightclub and thats just the ones downstairs. the VIP/guest list area has its own toilets and they are unisex!!how cool is that for so many things. however the drinks are way too expensive the queues are far to long if you aren't on the guest list and people don't get very social due to it being very dark and loud. Me for example, i have only ever picked up one girl in there over a 6 year period going at least 30 times in that period. If you just want to dance into the very early hours with great music it is a great place to go. read more

A victim of its own success. The only true super club in London. Still have great DJs and a fantastic venue but if you are over 20 you will feel like an OAP. The bars charge different amounts for drinks don't head to the VIP bar if you are short of cash although this is my recommended place to go, at least the crowd are a little older. read more

This is great for an all night dance. I went there for my 29th birthday and although there are younger people there I didnt feel too old! It's true that many people seem to be on drugs there, but it doesnt tend to spoil your night. People are friendly and the mixed toilets are a good talking point. i didn't have high hopes going in due to the high prices and the fact that it was drum & bass night, but it turned out to be a lot better than i expected. they have a student discount which is always nice, and they were showcasing some of the best drum & bass djs that weekend. The crowd was really into the music, so it was easy to have a good time. and at the end of the night they have a cab queue waiting, and they set a price before you leave, so you don't get ripped off. our cab driver was quite incompetent, but that is not Fabric's fault. read more

Fabric is one of my favourite night clubs in London. It is located in Farringdon, and there many good pubs and bars nearby to go for pre-club drink. The club is quite large, and has many different areas, including a large balcony with VIP area. It can be quite difficult to find your way around, and on my first couple of visits I did get quite lost. The music policy tends to be more drum n bass on the Friday nights for Fabric Live, and more techno on the Saturday for Fabric, but the club is often very full, and it had a very good atmosphere. Fabric is one of the best clubs in the world. The sound system in Room One is absolutely amazing and has to be heard (and felt - the dancefloor is a bodysonic setup with subwoofers under the floor) to be believed. The other rooms are just as impressive. Friday nights are usually drum and bass, Saturdays are techno/house nights. Fabric pulls some big name DJ's, and also keeps a fairly cutting edge and innovative music policy. The queues are usually huge, so make sure to either have a FabricFirst membership or buy tickets beforehand - this means you can usually go straight inside without queueing for hours. Drinks are fairly expensive (£5-ish for a vodka/redbull) but no more so than other clubs. People always get confused by the sinks in the toilets - use the foot switch to turn the water on ;) Definitely worth getting a FabricFirst membership if you go often - it allows you to jump the queue and you get sent a mix CD each month by some top DJ's (Villalobos, Luciano, Ellen Allien etc), for something like £6 a month. (it's not built in an old power station btw - the building used to be a cold store for the Smithfield meat market which still operates opposite the club) read more

Great, if somewhat anonymous venue in Farringdon. Only open on weekends though It's easy to find by the trail of partygoers and the large queues outside - but it's worth it for the vibrating dancefloor alone. Silk and Satin Fabric is big, it's massive in fact. I've been there a few times and I'm sure I'd be lost on my next trip. I've found that the crowd really varies night to night. But try to blag your way into the VIP room and you'll surely have a good night. If not, there are plenty of rooms to keep you entertained. I came here while visiting London and had a blast. The place is ridiculously huge and the line up was a bit crazy but at least it was moving, do keep in mind we had no idea the night life started late in London so we came earlyish. Don't be afraid. So many frustrating bad review in here. Expensive, confusing layout, security is rough. This is all coming from people that is not used to clubs in this level. Coming from one that have tried a lot, this is a brilliant club! Every club is expensive. London is a huge and popular town. So if they want to keep people. Especially in such a huge venue that could quickly feel empty, they need to set the price for it. It's understandable. Drinks is not more expensive then any high end club I have been at. Age is not a problem. It is natural. People in their late twenties complain about it. But eventually end up at Fabric now and again for the experience. Which makes the average age much higher than people expect. Layout is not confusing I don't know where that's coming from. The same people could complain about the paint job on the walls wtf?. But the idea of going on stairs from floor to floor is more a idiotic design, than anything to complain about. The security is rough from the beginning because it keeps order for a venue that has a capacity of 2500 people. It makes it safe and secure. I have not met one unfriendly person in there at all. Compared to the amount alcohol and what else makes people happy, it's amazing they keep it so controlled. The music is epic. The people going to fabric is all expecting a blast of a party. Dancing to you cramp, even the people that don't dance, they dance! M & W ratio is not any different then any other place. It is a MUST CLUB to visit. Even if your not a club person, there could be a chance you end up as one. You will change after a night at Fabric. Lastly, don't leave too quickly, stay and experience the whole night, it changes over night into phases of amazing vibrations of music, people, love, sex and mind release. read more

Many people writing reviews here don't know what is fabric all about. Suited office people and rich girls, go to pacha and drink champagne on sofas. Fabric is about underground music, people come here to dance, no matter the age, don't expect hip hop on Saturday night ,it's all about great guest sets and proper techno by fabrics residents. Drinks are really cheap comparing with other places, I was in small club around piccadilly once for a drink, I paid 7.5 £ for small peroni as in fabric you pay 4.5£ for a mixer (ex. rum and coke). The guy was complaining about leaving and lack of girls, mate ,there are plenty other clubs were lots of girls like your money. About security, there were issues, but they are at work, they do their job and until you cool and know how to act in club ,they will be cool and friendly. Treat people same, my phone died, staff helped me a lot by giving a chance to charge in the club. Charging phone in the club?? Find this somewhere else. I pretty much visiting fabric at least couple times a month and never been disappointed ,sometimes is worse, sometimes better, but still fabric delivers ! AMERICAN PERSPECTIVE: Made the mistake of coming to Fabric drunk, so my sense of direction was WAY off. Cover charge was crazy expensive, especially on a student budget. The inside was cool and the music (from what I remember) was not bad if you're into EDM, but when I got separated from my group, I was SUPER lost; this place is like a labyrinth. All i can say is, the best club in London, the best club in europe, and possibly the best club in the world. Depends what music you like, if you like dubstep and drum and bass and dirty grime go on a Friday, if you like electric music and trance go on a Saturday, club is open until (officialy) 6am on Friday but is always open longer, and open (officially) till 8am on saturday but is known to go on till around 11am if the DJ wants it to. The sound system is amazing, never heard a sound system like it before and one of the rooms, i think room 1 has a "bodysonic" system in the floor where the floor vibrates to the music being played. The vibe is amazing, it isn't usually full of any over drunk people, just people who are there to enjoy and "feel" the music, which makes the atmosphere and vibe in the place even better, its all fun and enjoyment. Drinks are a bit expensive i think, and bottles of water cost £2.50 each as of April 2012, but the good thing bout this place is they have a special bar for free water if needed. Majority of the bouncers are cool and most of the bar staff are amazing, i only came accross one bar woman which was a total twat, but i dont wish to exposs who she was. you may not enjoy this club if you dont feel the vibe, and if you dont wish to feel the music, and enjoy the vibe and people around you just dont bother to come, but i must recommend this club to everyone to go and see what you think. Also if you go on saturdays to fabric there is an after party at cable london which is about 10 minutes away from fabric on bus number 17 towards london bridge, which plays the same music which is from 5am till 1pm, which is always packed too. read more
