After being assured that the tech recommended was good as shaping gels, I booked an appointment. I was clear with the tech, prior to her starting on my nails that I was picky about the shape and that I want them built up with a curve. "Yes of course, I can do that". I had a picture open for her throughout the appointment. Continually had to ask her to add more product for shaping the curve, at one point she said she thought I wanted them thin, nothing I said even remotely hinted at that! Light pink nails, which were clear in the picture, were instead painted brown, nails themselves were, jagged, lumpy, crooked and quite frankly ugly. What's worse, after walking away unhappily and at the till...I'm shown what these god awful nails cost me...$109!!!! Extremely overpriced salon that has zero care in what the client...who is handing over their hard earned money, actually wants! I've attempted numerous times to have them rectify this, sent photos of the nails that I ended up spending 3 hours hand filing down, as they requested, and they are now ignoring my attempts. If you actually care about the quality of work that you are paying good money for then I strongly encourage you to NOT choose MLux Spa in Red Deer. There are many other techs that charge substantially lower prices for way better quality then you will ever receive at this salon.

The only thing I always wished was that the massage of my legs and feet lasted longer. I had my first pedicure at Safari today and was very pleased. But what won me over was the lengthy wonderful massage. I even asked if this was a common practice or if she was possibly done earlier then expected and had extra time to fill and she said no this is how all pedicures are done that they all allot that much time for the massage! Plus they offer a quick but wonderful hand massage at the very end.....I definitely will be going back :)

I've had my hair done by a stylist at this salon a few times now. This has consisted of bleaching,…read morecolour and cuts. I went to another salon this week and the stylist I saw could not do my hair in the way I wished due to the damage to my hair. My hair has broken in chunks and even brushing my hair it breaks in pieces. I had a treatment to restore health and was not able to even strip my colour now with a conditioning colour eraser due to a high risk of all of my hair breaking off. The stylist at divas even said to me and other clients at the time that she was taking short cuts on our hair to fit us all in in one day. She consistently used bleach to remove colour instead of a colour eraser and this caused my hair to not only become very damaged, but to be inconsistent in colour after all fading in one week. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of knowledge in this salon. Hair seems to be done with money in mind and not hair health. Do not go here if you value the health of your hair. The owner called me after posting a review and argued with me that my review wasn't valid as I waited "too long" after having my hair done to have a bad review. He talked over me and belittled me, to the point I had to get off the phone as I was feeling bullied. Do not go here.
