My kids have never been afraid to go to the dentist and it is largely in part to the great care they have received from Dr Goebel. Most of our dealings have been general dentistry visits but for wisdom teeth we were referred to an oral surgeon,who was top notch. I came in for a brief exam as I wanted to get a new upper denture. I told him that an upper denture should fit snug. He barely looked in my mouth and then told me that he couldn't help me because my expectations were too high. He also made snide remarks about the dentist that had done my original dentures in Florida. Besides that, awful ordeal, the girls do not know how to code for insurance purposes. I got a bill from them for $105. I have United Healthcare, and they cover exams and x-rays. My co-pay is $0. I called United Healthcare, and they told me the dental office coded the exam wrong. I called the office and told them what the insurance company told me. I know that United Healthcare covers exams because I then went to another dentist in town and had the same exam but this time with x-rays and they called United Healthcare and even though they were not in network, United Healthcare paid part of the bill. United Healthcare has filed an appeal against Bismarck Smiles for coding their services incorrectly. I have read other reviews, and I probably got off lucky as it appears this office has a bad reputation for overcharging and doing unnecessary dental work on other patients. This office is owned by a dentist who lives in Texas. I recommend that you do not ever visit this place.

The minute you walk in the front desk ladies are welcoming and full of smiles.The dental staff has always been exceptionally friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. I also appreciate the fact that they are not high pressure when recommending work that should be done. They give you time to think about and gladly accept your decision. No hard core sales which has always made me more inclined to trust them!! Just finished getting a crown done by Dr. Renz with the help of Tracey. A scary procedure for me,…read morebut they made the experience a whole lot better! It took about 2 hours from start to finish. Tracey turned on the massage setting on the chair and had a neck roller that was heated. Felt very nice and made me comfortable. You can choose to put on any show on Netflix. They make the crown in house. You don't have to wait 2 weeks for your crown to arrive like some other places. I'm about 36 hours after having this done and do not have any pain or discomfort. All Smiles Dental is amazing! Thank you!
