Next, I had a facial. It mostly consisted of my face being washed several times, then a mask applied. After that, the provider left the room for about 20 minutes, and I was extremely frustrated because nothing was happening. I even considered getting up and leaving. When I voiced my concerns to the receptionist afterward, her only suggestion was that I try a massage instead. I booked a massage and requested a face and head massage, but it seemed like no one there had ever done that before. The massage felt unskilled -- honestly like a three-year-old was doing it. The "massage" was bare minimum--it's basically just them applying lotion--and it fell far short of the 20 minutes that was advertised. The owner/manager was not there on the day of my appointment (I expressed my concerns to the women at the front desk; they said they couldn't help me but said they'd have the owner call me). When I later explained to the owner/manager that my appointment was cut way short and that I certainly wouldn't describe any of it as relaxing or pampering, she offered me a $20 credit (the service cost me $125). I let her know that I don't live in Fargo and have no use for a credit (nor would I want to return and spend (ie risk wasting) even more money); she became argumentative, claiming that my story didn't align with what the technician told her. I can understand why the technician lied about what happened--that's what people do when they're at risk of being reprimanded or possibly fired--but I don't understand the owner/manager's response. I'm a veteran and I chose Affinity because it's veteran owned, but it's way overpriced for what you actually get and they won't even try--in good faith--to make things right when they go wrong. Save yourself the trouble--and heed the advice of the other 1-star reviews; go to one of the many other spas in the area.

This is the worst customer service I have ever had at a spa. The only upside is the massage therapist was great with my daughter.
