The facilities are always nice and professional, but my last visit left me frustrated. After filling out my paperwork, the therapist called me over and asked about my problem areas right in front of four other people in the waiting area, which felt awkward and unprofessional. I had a membership at a different Massage Envy franchise that I requested be transferred to this location when my family moved to Fargo earlier this year. I had a fabulous experience at my previous Massage Envy location and expected the experience to be equally good here. It wasn't. In the mere 6 or 7 months I had an active membership in the Fargo location, I had three consecutive months where I was asked to reschedule my appointments last-minute. I have a child that I need to arrange daycare for a few days in advance when I plan to head out to these kinds of appointments, and getting last-minute notice of a change is incredibly inconvenient. The first two times it happened, I was contacted in the morning just a few hours before I was scheduled for a facial. One of those times, they switched me to a massage (which I did not really want) in order to at least keep my appointment the same day (albeit at a different hour). The other time, I had to reschedule to an appointment a week later. I finally got fed up last month when I drove all the way to the spa for my appointment and, when I got there, I was told there was no esthetician available for me and they would need to get me rescheduled to later in the week. It was a complete waste of my time. Not only that, but they alleged I had arrived 15 minutes late to my appointment on one occasion because somehow their system said I was scheduled for noon even though both my scheduling email and the text message appointment confirmation I received the prior day had 12:15 as my appointment time. Their scheduling is just a complete disaster. I also did not have the best experience on the services I received. I always ask to prioritize extractions when I'm getting a facial and I tried two different estheticians during my time there and one of them, while she did spend a long time focusing on extractions, she pressed my face so hard on the last appointment I had with her that I was in tears. Decided to switch to someone else after that. But then the other esthetician hardly did any extractions and tried to upsell me on a 90-minute facial so that "she would have time to focus on those more". I'm giving this location two stars because the staff is mostly friendly and the place is clean. And fortunately the massage I ended up getting one of the times I was rescheduled was not bad. But honestly, I'm never going back there again. It goes without saying... I cancelled my membership. read more

You didn't even apologize Money will come to your business if you take care of your customer. Making the customer happy , even if it means taking a loss temporarily, especially if the customer was blindsided by you 3 previous times . You may have fixed today, after they were brought to tears of frustration , but the three previous failures lost a lifelong customer for you. You really dropped the ball with this one. The word of mouth of one customer treated poorly especially this one, Oh they have friends lots of friends friendly friendly friends, can really tear down a business. Why couldn't you have at least offered a free coupon for everytime that you cancelled at the last second ? Could you have at least offered something in return for them being so excited for a month each time waiting for those awesome hands to make them feel so much better only to be told at the last second that they were going to be canceled and it would take another month or two to get in?? Really That's how you run a good business? And you didn't even offer a reschedule you just canceled, and if you think a reschedule is coming a month later you are sorely mistaken. And what really is crazy is you will do this to a person four months in a row and not offer or allow The person a refund of their money for the services that you won't even give her!!! You make a person feel helpless and hopeless, not everyone has a bunch of people that they can vent to! Some people don't like confrontation, do you ? Why would you put someone in that situation? Like an elementary school bully, you'll keep doing it because you feel you can get away with it , they're just one person and you're bigger than them. Bully massage envy , that's what I think of you. was it your goal to make someone angry ?to make someone feel miserable?? they asked for their money back. You denied them, three times, now the 4th time and you denied again , That disgusts me , You're greediness for just a couple of dollars from a customer has done their best as a single parent for 18 years. A widow, and someone who does so many kind things for others. Do you know that you brought tears to someone's eyes? This wouldn't be so bad and you can tell me till you're blue in the face about what went wrong today but you should have been prepared for today because you , MASSAGE ENVY, NOT THE MANAGER, NOT THE THERAPIST, but the whole corporation, already failed them three times previous. Your massage therapists are great, you offer a great service, but when you don't think of the feelings of just one customer it can cause a ripple, and if you don't have the tools to do what you need to do as a manager and your corporate is not backing you up you could tell us that and I will b**** and moan at them. The service you offer is lifesaving to some people you know that in senior homes CNAs one of our biggest jobs is massaging the back to increase circulation and blood flow? but the tension you caused and the extra expense because we had to go and find a different massage therapist on each of those occasions, $600 worth of extra massages because nobody offered another date within a week nobody offered any discount nobody offered anything, cold distant and lonely is the feeling that you get when I think of your name. How could I be envious of anything there, have fun in Arizona you might want to pay attention to how your franchises are working. I really didn't think it was possible to take money from someone for a service and then basically refuse to offer that service or give that service and not give anything in return for compensation nothing. Should A normal person, a hard-working person, have to go through this just to get what they paid for ?! Is it your goal to outlive us, I just don't understand what the goal of all this could be. There would be no review had you given her a refund for the services you were not giving her. You failed in the contract not her, anyway you look at it. Did not care for this place and thier "membership" program at all. Thier massage therapists were never available so month after month they charged me for nothing. Its a scam. Just go to a regular massage therapist where you pay each time in full and save yourself the headache. Moreover, some of thier therapists are graduates of the Salon Academy where they only teach Swedish massage, which is useless for the really tight muscles that many women have. Imagine waiting for weeks for your appointment just to get an undertrained therapist who can't treat your muscles but just works the skin instead. Frustrating. read more

Had a facial with Karena, who did a nice job! She balanced letting me know about the product she was using and making sure I had a good experience. I have to say what makes me give this 5 stars was not 5 minutes after leaving the facial and going to a coffee shop - I received a compliment that I looked 10 years younger than I am! The membership sign up is a joke! I know I signed up for 3 months only! April May and June. Yet they ran my card in July and August as well. I have since blocked them on my credit card so they can't run any more payments through the card. I have always had great massages from Massage Envy, but what makes me mad is the fact that they NEVER answer their phones!!! If you are busy or with a customer they need to still answer it and ask them to hold, not just send them to voicemail. This has been an ongoing issue for YEARS. This is the main reason why I stopped my membership, because whenever I call either there is no answer, or there are no appointments available for months. Was in town for the Fargo Half marathon. They got me and my husband in for same day appointment, day after half marathon. We both got amazing sports massages and we're both very satisfied with the service. Very clean establishment. If I lived in North Dakota, I would definitely be a regular. read more
