Looking for a barber? Fade Junkys is an awesome new barbershop located on the corner of W Hillsborough and Memorial Highway. It's nestled directly behind Dunkin Donuts, T Mobile and the UPS store. Being from the Northeast, I'm extremely particular about my haircuts and Rob doesn't disappoint. The owner Rob (aka Fade Junky) is a master of his craft. His cutting skills are point, he's consistent and reliable. Barbershops are plentiful in Florida, but its hard to find a good one so definitely check the place out. I walked in a shortly after they opened the shop. The crew was happy choppin it up. I asked who got me, without hesitation Marcellus was like I got you. I sat on his chair and my dog sat right next to me on the floor. Marcellus did a wonderful job. He was so smooth I started to fade out. Shop is very accommodating and very fair in pricing. Not sure why the rating here is so high. Came here for the very first time to get my little boy a hair cut. Place looked clean, staff was courteous, parking was so-so, the Music at the shop was over the top loud. I've been to numerous barber shops in the area. Some good, some bad, some affordable, some not. Fade Junkies was bad and way overpriced. $25 for a simple fade ($20 for first time visitors) was insulting. I thought $15 was the max I was willing to pay for a cut. I hear $25, Im expecting a masterpiece of a haircut. This was a major disappointment. ...On to the next one. read more

Great barber shop. The style is very professional, atmosphere is clean by upbeat, and the barbers are funny. I was actually trying not to laugh at one of the things another barber was saying because I didn't want my barber to mess up my edge up. It's kind of set up like Sports Clips with TVs everywhere and the faux wood flooring. Very organized and the barber, Kevin, cut my hair just how I wanted. Didn't have to explain much. One of the other barbers, I noticed, was at another place I used to go to. Here is why I give this one a 5-star rating. Traveled to Tampa for work and was feeling overgrown, partly because it was time for another cut and also because the humidity was making my hair act up too. Stopped by toward the end of their day on Saturday but they still greeted me and signed me up at the end of their list without an appointment. The shop is real cool and clean. These gentlemen are definitely running a dope shop. When my turn finally came, Carlos was open to what my usual cut is like and had some great suggestions to make me, my hair, and my beard look way sharper & cleaner. Came in as a walk in. I was seen in less than 15 min. Upon walking in, the front barber acknowledged me and asked me to sign in. I really appreciated the fact the gentleman at this shop respected me as a woman so to women who may be cautious about coming to a barber where there are all males- don't be. Fernando is the barber who cut my hair. He did an amazing job. He took his time and I loved the fact he noticed my hair was thin and didn't shave it too short. I read a review that said the music was too loud. On this day, they had a movie playing on the TVs. Even if they didn't why wouldn't you want to listen to music while getting your hair cut? Fantastic barber shop kind of hiding behind T-Mobile in a shopping complex. We had Christian and highly recommend him. He does great work, is very personable, and takes his time to get the fade just right. We are both hairstylists, so we are particular about our look and drove an hour to see Christian. I'm so happy with how my hair looks! They spent time on my hair, not rushing through any part. It wasn't just one barber either, it was all of them. I watched and each barber took their time on their respective client. They paid attention to fine details and left no spots at the end. I was there for over an hour but they put on a movie so it felt like it flew by. They give you a fair price for your cut and they are helpful. They don't try to sell you a million products but will give you recommendations if you ask. Also, some of them will show you pictures of how certain fades will look to help you decide what you want.
