Its been years since I came to the beauty school for service and it was at their Oracle location. Fast forward to now we needed 2 haircuts and I needed a Pedi. Bubba was with Marcella, hubby was with Jayden and I had Míreya for my pedí. Lupe who is the Instructor walks around and asks/recommend cuts & style which I liked. While I was doing my pedicure, J was working at the next chair with a cilent. We talked about everything under the sun and made this experience awesome. Prices are reasonable and highly recommend. Now if you have high expectations you might now like it here but if you can go with the flow please give this place a shot and show their students love.

Spent $30 (with tip) on a mani/pedi that took 1.5 hours and was sub par. The student had me check out after only a minute of my nails being done which inevitably ended in me smudging my nails while reaching in my purse for my card. I'm used to an instructor checking at some point or at the end, but it never happened. I wouldn't come back for nails.

While there were a few challenges, I feel that Empire provided a solid foundation and helped me prepare for the beauty industry. She's a good conversationalist. She makes you feel as comfortable as you can be. It was one of the best Brazilians. I highly recommend her. Then I went to get a mani/pedi with Marcella. Pedicures - $15 ea., one was very good (ask for Ian), the other was meh. Waxing - $15 per area, no complaints (this part deserved 3 stars). Haircuts - $7 ea., we both wanted clean-up cuts, one worked out well, the other was a mini-disaster and required a re-cut the next day. I'd recommend avoiding a haircut, unless it is a super easy ask (simple trim/buzz cut). There are teachers on hand to help students through new territory, and they are clearly trying very hard - which is nice. If you go in w/ the expectations of a student-based learning environment, you'll likely be satisfied. I'd go back for waxing and manicures/pedicures.
