Aside from the amazing care and friendliness of everyone who works at CCP, I am delighted with the outcome. As a 70-yr I have experienced many health issues, beginning with infancy. I have had too many traditional doctors visits, hospital stays, surgeries along with unfriendly changes from aging. Most of my life I was advised that chiropractic therapy wasn't considered "real" medical treatment. However, after years of personal experience, some research and recent revelations about the dark side of "traditional" medicine, I felt like it was time to try something more natural: stretching, realigning, decompression, and most amazing of all, shockwave treatments. I am forever grateful that I followed my instincts and the results are nothing less than amazing! I truly believe that if I had begun chiropractic therapy years ago, my life would have been healthier and happier. I wish with all my heart that I had tried it years ago instead of listening to the advice of others. The overall results are that I have less 'heaviness' to carry around every day... my body doesn't ache as much, I feel lighter in a way that I can't fully express. And the shockwave therapy has changed my life! I can wholeheartedly testify that after dealing with wonky knees for 35-years, and recent shoulder pain that was unyielding, I no longer fear having surgery anytime soon, (hopefully never), which is what my orthopedic surgeon has been predicting could happen. Instead, I had five treatments on my shoulder, four on my right knee and three on my left knee. With each successive treatment per area the excruciating, unending pain became less and less. Now, one month after treatments ended, thank the Lord, I am free from the aches and pains that I've carried for half of my life. Shockwave therapy, which is relatively new, is a game changer! Whatever your age, if you have aches and pains in your joints, please do yourself a favor and give it a try before undergoing surgery. I am forever grateful that I did and if the time ever comes where surgery is given as an option, I will try shockwave therapy again before signing up for it. My only mistake is making a massage appointment with the massage therapist that works in his office on Wednesday. I was so excited and really needed it. The front staff and several other people had warned me that she has heavy handed, so I hen I arrived I made sure to tell Meredith (the massage therapist) that I can't take a deep tissue massage and to go really easy on my shoulders, neck, and shoulder blade area. I had to tell her over and over to do it softer. She also dug into my head and massaged my skull really hard. I finally turned over to let her do my back. I had already told her that my problem areas were my middle and lower back. She spend so much time torturing my upper body, she had hardly any time to massage my back end she completely skipped my lower back. And the icing on the cake was it was only a 45 min massage even though I paid for an hour. So, after all of that, the moral of the story is DO NOT get Meredith to give you a massage!! I've had to take a muscle relaxer and pain pills every night since then just to be able to fall and stay asleep!
