They have a new owner now but still have a long way to go. My BF's first complaint was that he wasn't receiving all of his meds. One being a very expensive Medication that he was suppose to get 2x/day. I called a supervisor and he basically told me that except for taking a nurses word for it that they have no way of knowing if a patient really was getting all of his meds. Another supervisor called my bf a LIAR when my bf was trying to discuss this with him. At one point they put a dying man in with him whose body odor was overwhelming. After a few days of hearing him complain to me about how awful the smell was, I called and then they did move the other patient out. the worst thing was they LOST HIS LOWER DENTURES! He had put them on his food tray and an aide came in and removed the tray. My bf realized it almost immediately but the aide said they were gone. The Bishop people then denied he ever HAD THE LOWER DENTURES!! Actually said they "interviewed" staff and no one could remember seeing them!! We ended up having to pay over $3,000 for a replacement! they did however offer to have THEIR dentist make up a new plate but with the fact that my bf had been through so much and had nearly DIED of blood poisoning in the hospital,I wouldn't allow some dentist who probably put in The lowest bid to do their dental work to make up his lower dental plate as I know personally many people who have horrible issues with their dentures and my bf went to the BEST dentist to avoid problems with his dentures. They of course refused to pay anything toward his replacement denture because the food was so bad I tried to bring in or order food for him. a food delivery was made to him at one point around noon and when I called him around 5:3O he said he had not gotten it yet! Then when I sent him some shrimp scampi from a local restaurant the nurses told him they didn't have time to give him any Silverware so he had to eat it with his fingers finally, after thet kept moving his release date THREE TIMES, I took him out AMA (against medical advice). They had a fit about it (money??) and made a report that he was going into a unsafe environment. a few days later at an appointment with his back surgeon, his SURGEON said, "right now I have a patient there who may NEVER WALK AGAIN BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF CARE HE IS GETTING AT BISHOP". it is my hope that by writing this I can help people to decide NOT TO GO HERE!

Overall, I am stoked with my thrift store finds. The workers up front weren't particularly attentive. Their customer service skills were a 6 out of 10. The place has a ton of shoes and everything is nicely organized by color (including the plates/house ware section). There is a ton of clothes and some art, children's games, and lots of chairs. There is a large parking lot and they accept donations as well.

Many of my favorite pieces of clothing have come from this particular store. Also, there is a large assortment of housewares and, depending upon what is available, sometimes a large assortment of furniture. We needed several folding chairs for a family event and I went in weekly until I had the number of chairs that we needed. As with my clothing purchases, some of my favorite furniture items (bedroom dressers in particular) and housewares are from the Salvation Army. Although I am not an antique collector per se, I've seen some great vintage furniture and houseware itms for sale. As for the cleanliness of the store - well, these are donated items so not everything is sparkling! The long-time employees are friendly and engaging; some of the newer ones may not have acquired the skills to work in a retail environment - which is the case in even upscale retail stores as well. So I recommend a trip to the Salvation Army - even without a planned purchase in mind. You have to factor in enough time to look around. You never know...

After finally completing the initial intake, I was shocked to find out that I have to see a counselor multiple additional times just to get on the schedule for a psychiatric evaluation. The amount of obstacles and bureaucratic steps they involve is completely unacceptable. When people are in dire need to see a psychiatrist, this clinic forces you to jump through a million hoops before that can even happen. By the time they actually schedule you, who knows what will happen? I am feeling like a ticking time bomb right now, and their complete failure of urgency is impeccable. They completely minimize your mental health needs and leave you hanging when you need help the most. If you need timely, urgent psychiatric care, look somewhere else.

I had to be rushed to the hospital because they wouldn't treat me until I was going through withdrawal for 24 hours. By that time, I was panicking, seeing things and very, very close to a seizure. And when I left by ambulance, they told me I'd never see my things again. They threatened me for going to the hospital, which actually saved my life.. this place is vile. It is not supervised care. There's no cameras and they just leave you to lay in a bed and watch TV with no care. They never check on you and if you need anything, you have to bang on the nurses door which they won't open because they're too busy talking about disgusting things in there and making fun of the patients. I would rate the quality of care as zero because there is no care. If you want any type of medicine, the best they're gonna give you is a Klonopin, which for severe alcohol withdrawal does nothing! They pass meds twice a day but good luck seeing any staff other than those times. I highly recommend going to Crouse health instead. And they took wonderful care of me and make sure I could get through my withdrawals safely. I had to have two bags of fluid and a banana bag because I was so dehydrated. Almost instantly I felt better once I got to Crouse hospital. If you are truly sick and suffering and don't just need a break from life I would NOT go to Helio. They claim a "hands off" approach, which just is an excuse for laziness!
