I cannot say enough positive things about the ICU team and the people who cared for him. Tells me after looking at my earlier diagnosis on the screen that I have Rheumatoid arthritis. Prescribes a steroid and a choice of 2 splints, totally unsuitable for my pain.. and rushed out the door as I'm asking her where she's going ! Then a hurried nurse comes in , roughly demonstrates both splints or immobilizes and rushes out as well, only too quick ask me which one I 'like'.. the staff person at the front desk was rude and talked down to me as i was trying to decide on a date for my follow up. I called to schedule an appointment for a chronic orthopedic pain issue--something that is ongoing and significantly impacts my quality of life--and instead of receiving even basic assistance, I was met with condescension and dismissive behavior. The staff acted as though my concerns were an inconvenience rather than a legitimate medical need. They refused to properly assist me in scheduling and offered no guidance, alternatives, or solutions. There was zero empathy, zero professionalism, and absolutely no sense of patient care. For a medical office, especially one dealing with orthopedic issues, this level of disrespect and lack of support is unacceptable. Patients dealing with chronic pain should not have to fight just to be heard or to book an appointment. I would strongly caution others before attempting to seek care here. The way patients are treated at the first point of contact says everything--and in this case, it's not good.
