I have nothing but great things to say about Faye. Last November, I bought a ball gown last-minute before a military ball I was going to attend because I didn't already have one in my closet. The dress was beautiful but I'm 5' tall and the dress was about 6 inches too long. I was also very short on time. I was referred to Faye at Fairborn Alterations from some friends of mine. Not only did she stay at her shop late to accommodate me on a weeknight because of my work schedule, the dress was done in 3 days and it looked phenomenal. She has also done alterations for two of my friends' wedding dresses and they look stunning - to include one of the bride's bridal party dresses. She will make sure that your alterations are done right. Recommendation: call before appointments and communicate if you have a deadline and she will get it done. She has reasonable pricing and she is such a sweet individual. If you are in the Fairborn, Beavercreek, WPAFB, or WSU area, Faye at Fairborn Alterations will do an amazing job. I was very skeptical at first because there were a few bad reviews, but I decided to try Fairborn Alterations anyway. I do not regret my decision one bit. The woman who helped me was very kind and considerate. She altered a very intricate (lots of beading and several straps in the back) gown that I honestly did not like one bit because it looked hideous on me. However, after she altered the gown, it was flattering and I actually like it now. She turned a very well decorated potato sack into a beautiful bridesmaid gown. The workers here are very snotty. I called to see if they could hem my dress and they said they aren't currently doing alterations other than the ones they already have. That's not the issue. I then asked if they could recommend someone to me and she said "we don't recommend anyone". Will not be going to them in the future. I am going to Young's Bridal in Centerville. I had to get a last name changed on an embroidery, and while they did correctly change the last name, they additionally embroidered an "i" next to a perfectly aligned "i" in my first name, ruining the first name embroidery. Would not recommend. read more

I had 3 pairs of pants dropped off on a Friday. Lady said she would have them done the following Friday, but when I went back in, they were still not done. She then said to come back the next day, which was a Saturday to pick them up. I was unable to do this due to plans. So I went ahead and gave her a FULL week to finish them. Went back today, Friday February 6th, and she stated they were STILL not done. She went on to tell me they were busy and gave me a story about her personal life. DO NOT give me a promised date and not have them done, then give me another date only for me to give a full week past that date and still not have them done. Shop was a mess and took her 10 minutes to find my pants. I never write reviews, but this really rubbed me the wrong way. Unprofessional and terrible customer service. I would not recommend to ANYONE. Go elsewhere. I hope you take my review serious. read more
