WOW the cost of dry cleaning must have gone UP since the last time we woke up! Husband dropped off military dress uniform for dry cleaning and to have two sets of stripes switched out (we just PCS'd in and my machine isn't here yet). To have four stripes sewn on and dry clean 2shirts, 3 coats, 1 pant it was over $70! Service was done on time as promised but dang I could have bought a cheap sewing machine and a iron for that price! Will be shopping around before returning here. read more

Stay away from this place! I called them on a late Wednesday afternoon to ask about their standard turn-around time to dryclean a suit and they told me two (2) days. So I dropped off my suit the same day except that they told me it would take five (5) days before it would be ready. I reminded them they had told me on the phone that it would take two (2) days and they agreed to have it ready by Friday. The advertised price on their board was $12.99 to dryclean a suit. Nothing was said about any deviation from their pricing. So far, so good. When I returned on Friday to pick it up, the lady wanted to charge me $23 claiming that there was a $10 surcharge for expedited drycleaning. She claimed that she had told me on Wednesday about the surcharge which is not accurate. Then she tried to say that I had brought the suit in the previous day and that it was $10 to get it done the next day. I reminded her that I had brought it in two (2) days before and her story changed, saying that to get something drycleaned in two days was expedited service, despite what they had told me over the phone about their standard turn-around time before I visited the store. She lowered the surcharge to $7 which is still unfair because they had told me on the phone that their standard turn-around time was two (2) days and they never told me about any surcharge for meeting that standard turn-around which time they had given me over the phone. The lady tried to tell me that she was entitled to extra money because it was hot or some nonsense. Not sure why that would be a justification for charging more than the price advertised on their board above the counter. It was clear to me that the lady felt entitled to charge me extra and I concluded that I had no choice but to pay the extra money to get my suit back. (What choice did I have, it was going to be my word against hers.) Stay away from these people!!! read more

I took a brother from our church to get some clerical garments tailored and never imagined what we were going to encounter. The seamstress looked at his garments and made fantastic suggestions. She also spotted imperfections within the garments. She tailored his garments and made them easier for him to put on and the imperfections were gone. I would recommend this place to any and everyone. read more

Where else can you get your skirt hemmed and buy a twinkie? There is no other place that I know of...but you can here. This convenience store/tailor is conveniently located right outside the Fairborn gate (Area A) of Wright-Patt. The woman who does the tailoring is quite possibly one of the nicest women I have ever met. She is such a sweetheart AND she is good at what she does. Turnaround time is quick, too. I thought the prices were extremely competitive ($8 for a simple hem and $13 for a panel of curtains). She is very familiar with military uniforms. The drawbacks? The area is a wee bit cluttered and there is no real area to try on your clothing for fitting. There is a room in the back where you can squeeze in and change but it is chock full of clothes...probably because she is so good at what she does she is always busy. One thing to note...your items will not come back pressed unless you ask for it (I am assuming there is an additional charge for that). I failed to ask for it so my curtains came back a tad on the wrinkly side and they were kind of a pain in the a$$ to iron. Next time I would definitely ask her to press them for me. RUDE RUDE RUDE. I can't speak on this location's actual tailoring ability because their customer service is just a NO. I am new to the area and called to get a time-estimate for a dress alteration. The man answers with "Dry Cleans" and I say, "Hello, is this the Sun Dry Cleaners? If so, do you still do tailoring?" And he says, "No" and immediately hangs up. Wow what kind of company immediately just hangs up on their customers?! That was ridiculous. I called back twice and got their voicemail. Called back a third time and same man answers, and I said "Is this Sun Dry Cleaners?". He says "yes". I say "Sun Dry Cleaners and Tailors?" And he says "yes". Oh...okay so now you're aware that you do tailoring...For whatever reasoning/justification, I will NOT be coming here. I am appalled by their absolutely RUDE customer service. Horrible!!!! Go to Tulay's down the street. Turned my uniform in to have things sewn on, pockets sewn down, and rank sewn onto a hat. They told me it would only take a week. Went back in a week and it wasn't ready so she told me to come back. Went back another week later and rank was sewn on hat crooked and pockets weren't sewn down. So she asked me to leave it again and come back. I will NEVER take anything back there again. read more

I brought a dress to be altered here. Although I told her I was not in a rush, it took her three months to complete my order! I would stop by since we live on Wright Patt and she would have some excuse. Someone was sick, homecoming happened and I can't remember what the other excuse was! Each time I would give an extra week to go back when she said it would be ready. When I finally picked it up, I realized she didn't even finish the job! The tight inner skirt wasn't altered as promised. I didn't want to spend another three months waiting, so I will cut it myself. My daughter needs a dress altered for sorority rush but I will drive clear across town rather than go back to this place! I wouldn't recommend this business!!!! read more

This business is an absolute joke. I dropped a uniform off for alteration and left it with them for a month. When I came back to pick it up after the date it was supposed to be ready, she could not find it. After looking through an extremely messy and cluttered work table she found my uniforms crumpled up in a paper bag, not even touched. She told me to come back a week later. I left extremely frustrated. When I came back, my uniforms were still not complete. This was a Saturday, she told me to come back Monday at 5, I did they were not done. She told me to come back that evening at 7 so I did. It still was not done. She told me to come back today, which I did. It still was not complete. Needless to say it has been well over a month since I dropped my uniform off there for alterations and it is still not complete. This business will never get another dollar from me.
