Chef Adam has the kitchen pumping out some of the best food in Fairfield and the golf course was named a few months ago as one of the best 9 hole golf courses in Iowa. Due to their (apparently) strict no-tolerance DEI/Wokism standards, procedures, and protocols, I…read morefeel I was treated with unfair prejudice, evidenced all the more in the way they refused to even offer the slightest defense for their reprehensible "shutting-out" of me. My "admissions counselor" very much operated with this DEI/woke prejudice, and as such, I as a straight Caucasian male was treated as sub-human and not worthy of timely communications or reasonable consideration. Case in point: about two weeks before the July 23 deadline to get all transcripts and other requirements in, I let my counselor know i actually could not afford the final transcript mail-in cost, and could you evaluate me so far and tell me whether it looks as though I'll qualify or not, or take me as so, with about 5 of 6 of the clerical requirements in? Nope, sorry, we can't help you, etc. was the answer from my "she/they" counselor (whose surgery in April took precedence over timely communications with me), and when I appealed to a higher office at MIU to complain about this counselor, I was immediately ghosted, my application rejected, no explanation given. No reply from the higher-up on it, just -- close the window on this guy. This is preposterous, and the only reason I can find for this treatment is that I am not a trans/woke/"person of color", etc. So, I fully intend to continue as if my course load was met and classes are in session. I have created my own course load and curriculum. I have already posted a graduate-level art therapy (my degree program) essay on Substack and other social media, and I am moving forward vigorously to fulfill my plans to become an art therapist -- but, I will add to that ongoing endeavor my harsh criticism of this Maharishi-legacy learning institution that promotes unfair racist and sexist practices, and besides that, employs unprofessional faculty and staff who very definitely have an agenda -- to keep non-woke, non-trans, straight, reasonable and natural persons non-matriculated. But, only once they get all your transcripts in first. What a racket! (8/18/25 was the start of the school year I'd prepared for since Mar. 19th, 2025 -- that's five months of my life devoted to orienting myself for this goal, and MIU queerdos will not stop me!)
