I'm here to leave a review for the lovely girl who helped us out tonight. There were a few things…read moreover this weekend that went wrong due to a new system changing. I was getting a different room when their new system crashed. Not only was my co workers waiting for things to get figured out with our rooms there was a line starting to form here for other ppl to check in this evening. Trying to problem solve and get her manager to help her who just left after finishing their shift, phones blowing up and overall chaos. Brittney helped us out. She was professional and apologetic and so many things happening that were out of her control but she never shooed us away and kept trying to figure it all out while intense pressure. I really hope her manager sees this and knows how much my co workers and I appreciated all her help and going the extra mile for us. Thank you Brittney!!!!

We wanted to check in on a Saturday but we made the mistake of booking a Sunday check in so kudos to management for letting us check in one day early. Not all Hotels would have accommodated our slip up. The Fairfield is conveniently located a short drive off of the freeway ( 35 ) & is a short walk/drive to many restaurants such as 1) Scratch Gourmet Kitchen 2) Longhorn Steakhouse 3) Waffle House 4) Cracker Barrel 5) Saltgrass Steakhouse & more. All in all the Fairfield is everything we wanted for a short stay & we will gladly return next time passing through Liberty Missouri.

This may actually be the first hotel I've ever stayed at the achieved my five star ranking. I give…read moreone star of each of the following: 1. Water pressure and shower quality. Usually shower heads are positioned way too low and the water pressure sucks or I need a book on how to figure out how to make the hot water work. Here, great water pressure and shower head was positioned so that my 6'1 height was easily accommodated. It was a beautiful shower. 2. Cleanliness. I'm no super picky but at least make your place appealing and seem like people aren't doing in hotel rooms that we know occurs in hotel rooms all of the time. This place is super clean. 3. Noise. I love when I can sleep peacefully in an unfamiliar spot and am not bothered by the couple next room over and the headboard or by a large group of young girls at a gymnastics contest, which this place had 50 of tonight. No hotel noise, it was beautiful 4. Staff quality. I like checking into a place where the staff treats me like I'm not ruining their day by forcing them to be there. I also like it when they know how to use the computer and boom I'm checked in. Staff here was polite and friendly 5. Finally and most importantly. Does it appear as though I'll be killed, robbed or some combination thereof? I personally have no desire to be featured on an episode of The First 48 and when I'm staying in a city to which at least a season of that show has been dedicated is important that I'm not shown on it because I made the wrong hotel choice. This place, though it is situated amongst several other hotels did not remotely give me the feeling that I would be victim of a crime. If you've read this whole thing thank you. This is a good hotel. Stay here.

Overall check again was a pretty smooth process, the lobby was pretty clean as well as being very welcoming. The hotel featured the pool and even a fitness room. Eventually when I got to my room it wasn't the best. I noticed a poorly sealed crack calmed up in a corner of the room. And there were noticeable poorly filled in cracks in the shower. I think someone may have been previously smoking in this room as well because the smoke alarm had a bag over it but other than that sleeping in the room was not an issue I didn't like the other amenities in the room regardless since I was staying the night. Breakfast was the best either since the options were very limited compared to other Hampton Inn Hotels I've been at. Overall it's a below average hotel and I did expect a lot better when I initially visited, I personally give this hotel 2.5 stars out of five

They offer a free breakfast, my personal feeling is that one would be better off using the ability to cook in the room as the eggs in the breakfast area are not of the real variety and the sausage looks heated up in the microwave. That said, the rooms are not large but good sized for a single person. The kitchen is comprised of a 2 burner cook top, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and pots/pans/plates/cups/glasses/utensils. In the living area it's the bed, and a small sofa with a couple small tables, a closet, and the bathroom (shower only, no tub). It's good! One thing that I would share is that based on experience, people want to have a quiet breakfast and collect thoughts for the day. It's difficult to do here and I noticed a number of people stopping into the breakfast area to quickly grab items to go.

The bed was where the problem was. All the linens looked worn and very wrinkled. The fitted bottom sheet was very pilly. To the point it made me itch and I couldn't sleep on them. The breakfast was pretty good- standard fare. The buffet staff were very friendly. At checkout , the girl at the front desk said she could not print me a receipt because I booked through a 3rd party?? I know in the past I could always get one. The hotel location is good. Many shops and restaurants located a short walk away.

We ate the noodles and fried rice located in the casino. The noodles had much more flavor than the rice. But was still enjoyable. I like it was not crowded. I recently stayed at Ameristar Hotel Casino in Kansas City after checking in on July 12, and it…read morewas, without question, one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Before arriving, I called the hotel to ask about early check-in. I was told that early check-in was available for a $25 fee and that the hotel was only about half full if that so there should be no problem getting a room. However, when I arrived that morning, I was told there were no rooms available. What made the situation even more frustrating was that while I stepped away to use the restroom, one of the people traveling with me was able to check into a room immediately with no issues at all. No one could explain why I was denied a room while someone in my group was accommodated without hesitation. When I tried to get answers, I was met with disrespect instead of customer service. The employee who checked me in wasn't even wearing a name tag, and the employee assisting her, Deb, was one of the most unprofessional customer service representatives I have ever encountered. Rather than trying to resolve the issue, they were dismissive, rude, and made me feel like I was an inconvenience. After multiple trips back to the front desk and repeated complaints, I was finally given a room. Unfortunately, the room itself was just as disappointing. The property felt run-down, poorly maintained, and not particularly clean. It certainly did not live up to the standards I expected from a Boyd Gaming property. The problems continued at checkout. Around 4:10 a.m. July 14, I went to the front desk to check out before work, but there was no employee present for at least 10 to 15 minutes. After waiting as long as I could, I had no choice but to leave without checking out because I was going to be late for work. Later that morning, after I received my checkout email, I noticed additional charges on my card and called the front desk. The employee who identified herself as Joyce was just as unprofessional as the staff I dealt with the day before. When I explained that no one had been at the front desk during checkout, she argued with me and insisted someone had been there the entire time, which simply was not true. When I asked about the additional charges, she became argumentative again instead of helping resolve the issue. I requested to speak with a supervisor, but Joyce told me there was no one else available and that I could only deal with her. After insisting that I wanted to speak with a manager, she transferred me to security. The security employee refused to give me his name, laughed when I requested a supervisor, and told me that although a supervisor was on duty, he was choosing not to put them on the phone. I have never experienced such disrespectful and dismissive treatment from hotel staff. I chose to stay at Ameristar because I expected quality accommodations and professional customer service from a Boyd Gaming property. Instead, I was treated with disrespect from beginning to end. I came to enjoy a relaxing getaway, spend money at your property, and have a good time. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, insulted, and completely unappreciated as a customer. Because of this experience, I will never stay at another Boyd Gaming property, and I cannot recommend Ameristar Hotel Casino Kansas City to anyone. I sincerely hope management investigates how guests are being treated and takes meaningful steps to improve customer service, accountability, and the overall guest experience.

Ok, big yikes on this place. They recently received some upgrades supposedly but I did not see that…read moreat all. When we first stepped into the lobby, I wanted to like it - I really did. The front desk staff was very friendly and personable. I have no complaints about that aspect of this hotel. However, this is where the positives of this review end. When we first stepped into the room, I immediately saw that it was covered in scuff and dirt marks all over the walls. It was like we had stepped into a room that hadn't been occupied or cleaned since the 1970s. And the curtains to the outside view of the parking lot had giant holes in them as well. I did what I always do when I first walk into a hotel - check the bed for any suspicious signs. I found black stains on the sheets and cigarette burns/holes in them too. Then I looked to my left and saw that the little night stand was in a shabby state as well. The drawer wouldn't even sit in there straight. Other than that, I guessed it looked fine (a little less than fine, but passable) for our quick one night stay. I decided to just try and go take a shower and relax after the long car ride. I stepped into the vanity/sink area and again, had to stifle a shudder when I looked up and saw the most filthy lighting fixtures I had ever seen. Whatever was living in there had been there a long time and had seemingly never been cleaned out. I went into the shower and pulled the curtain closed, only to find some sort of rust/red colored splotch marks all over the shower curtain. I did not even want to try to touch it to inspect more closely and see what this could be. When I was done with my shower, I reached out to grab a towel to dry off with and when I pulled one off the shelf - it had black spots all over it. It smelled like it was "clean' but just...stained. With black marks that looked like someone had cleaned off their mascara with it or something. After my shower, I tried to dry my hair - but that did not go well either. The second I flipped on the hotel hair dryer, it made the rest of the lights in the room go dim and flicker. Ugh. So I made my travel mate just deal with the flickering while I blow-dried my hair. We decided to just get out of Dodge and only come back to the room when it was late at night so we could just sleep through these gross surroundings and check out early the next morning. When we walked out to the car, we were immediately nervous. The photo of the front of the hotel that they posted is a little misleading, as they do not show you that a foot behind where that photo was taken there is a shady looking liquor/convenience store that had people milling around outside of it right by your cars all night. I am not sure if there is a bus stop or something around there, but if not, it is a little suspicious that these people were just hanging around on the street corner right by where all of the hotel patrons' cars were parked. Luckily, our car was fine the next morning and we hastily checked out and left in a hurry. There were also cats milling around the parking lot so be careful not to run any over! All in all, I would definitely not recommend that anyone stay here. As I said, the hotel front desk staff were very nice, but the hotel itself was in a sad state.

The air conditioner needs an overhaul. I had to move the bed to get to an outlet for my phone charger. The towel I bathed with had unidentifiable stains. The place is not handicapped friendly. All I was missing was the parade of cockroaches. This was my 2nd Best Western Hotel on my vacation and will be my last.
