I stayed here for about a month for work. The front desk staff were very helpful with everything in my room was always very clean and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was really good and I had a giant TV in my room and right up the street but it's pretty much any fast food or restaurant that you'll need. They had a Whataburger aWendy's a Mickey D's and the Walmart all within walking distance there was some other nicer restaurants to I want to say a hibachi place in a Mexican and pretty much all the other good stuff right nearby. The highway was easily accessible. This is a great location. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Stayed here for 2+ weeks for work. Fairfield Inn is the economy budget hotel under the Marriott brand. This hotel was about what you would expect. Housekeeping comes every other day. They do a nice job but you can tell they are over worked as you can see them cleaning into the afternoon. I was impressed with the free breakfast and workers that ran the breakfast. More options than you usually get (including biscuits and gravy everyday). They have HBO (not very common these days) and Internet tv including Netflix, Amazon, and Max). I stayed in a single queen bed room and it was small and had an awkward bathroom layout. Sink was outside the bathroom and inside the bathroom is the toilet and tub shower combo. Unfortunately the door opens inward and this is a VERY SMALL space. Getting inside the shower is tricky. They space between the toilet, door that swings inside, and tub is very narrow. Hope you are not overweight!!! The light fixture above my sink went out halfway through the trip. Maintenance came and tried to fix it but. were unsuccessful. They never came back or offered to switch my room so I just had no light by the sink the rest of the stay! I had another mirror in the hall so I just used that one. read more

I have stayed at many Fairfield Inn by Marriott locations in the past both for business and for personal travel. Although this location is generally good, there were a few things that we found lacking. The washroom facilities are the "split" style with the washbasin in the main room and a very small room containing the commode/tub-shower; this room was only slightly larger than enough space for one adult human to turn around in. The shower had an adjustable spray that was refreshing. The included Shampoo, conditioner and body gels were in shower wall mounted bulk dispensers. The Tea Tree oil infused shampoo was refreshing and had a nice scent. We apparently misunderstood that the hotel had discontinued their included breakfast buffet (perhaps due to the COVID situation). I felt that it would have been helpful to have made this clearer at check-in and why in the world have they left the chafing dishes and other breakfast sundries out? If breakfast is no longer served, why not put them away? Bed was comfortable but seemed small. There were a limited number of channels available on the in-room entertainment but there were web-based entertainments such as Netflix and YouTube available. To summarize, our stay was adequate but nothing to write home about. We probably would choose another hotel for our future visits to Spartanburg/Greenville. read more

I do my best work with lists to imma break it down as such: The Good: Hotel is old but relatively clean. Front desk staff is very friendly. I'd stay here again based on the staff. Plenty of parking. Minimal traffic to get in and out of the hotel. The Bad: The breakfast. Day one offered biscuits and gravy. However, the gravy was cold. Day two offered biscuits and an empty gravy container among other empty breakfast items. I shudder to think what Day three has to offer. This is a classic "I got what I paid for" since I chose the least expensive Marriott hotel in the area. I was informed by staff that the hotel is scheduled for a remodel which makes me happy my stay is before the disaster. My one requirement for a hotel stay is that I enter my room from the inside which this place checked that box. Outside of that, I've definitely experienced better in Greenville County. read more

No complaints, but I was here on a quiet Friday night. In the morning as I was packing up, I noticed that I could clearly hear the conversation going on in the room next door and when I was walking to the elevator, I could hear an ignored alarm clock from one of the rooms. The room was clean and it was very inexpensive. Small fridge (a little noisy, but ignorable), coffee maker, large television. Bathroom had a good quantity of towels. Breakfast was standard for Fairfield - Jimmy Dean microwaveable biscuits, waffle maker, cereals and yogurts. Plentiful coffee with Fox News on the television. There was wi-fi, but I couldn't get it to go anywhere. The property has a 4G signal, so I used that for my Internetting. read more

This Fairfield Inn is very nice and clean. The staff is very friendly also. Located very close to I-85 with several restaurants and shopping close by this hotel is in a very good location. I had lots of communication with the hotel staff before and during our stay and each time it was a breeze. My questions were always answered and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were very clean and well cared for. We got 2 queen bed rooms. Our 2 rooms were quite a bit apart and we called back down and the front desk was able to move 1 of the rooms closer to the other. The pool is a nice size and stays open til 10pm. It is outside and there is no jacuzzi. The complimentary breakfast is simple but of great quality. They had turkey bacon, chicken sausages, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, folded cheese omelets, waffles, fruit and a few other items common to complimentary breakfasts. All in all this is a nice hotel in the Greenville area. I would definitely recommend it to someone and would love to stay there again. I had a emergency come up, I contacted the hotel with this info & called the hotel spoke to Abola the manager on duty, and emailed the manger of hotel, left voice message no response yet, card was charged $99. I will never use your hotel brand in the future. Unprofessional and no empathy, I understand business is business, but someone could have at least called me back. Contacted booking.com and they didn't respond either, called both sources and no answer on the phone for days. I hope the $99 was worth loosing customers. I have my CC info and hospital letter, just in case anyone wants to contact me for the truth. read more

Probably the best Fairfield location I've ever stayed at. Everything in the room and lobby is clean and well-maintained. Great breakfast spread. Very friendly and quick front counter staff. The hot water to the top floor could be a little quicker and the elevator doors need to be oiled. But otherwise, a very enjoyable experience. read more

The hallway are filthy, the stairways are the same. The pool area is unkept and has trash laying around. The ceiling is peeling and piling up on the floor. The trash can outside the front door is overflowing. The luggage cart has a broken wheel and when I pointed it out nothing was done. The furniture in the room is falling apart. There was trash in the closet. No wash clothes in the bathroom. When I told the manager he seemed like "and what's the problem ?" A family checked in to find in their room the air conditioning-unit lying on the floor and the window open. 88 f outside and in the room! Should have zero has an option. This place use to care! Just discovered the dryer is broken, no sign saying it's broke. Wash your clothes and no way to dry them! read more

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was super friendly. They let us know that they prepared a small breakfast for us and that we had take away boxes. The food was nice and hot. My review in a nutshell; PROPS to whoever is in charge of hiring staff! I encountered two, briefly (I'm writing this review from the hotel bed) and each has blown me away with the extraordinary customer service!! My review in a... thing bigger than a nutshell; my family and I were essentially stranded at 3am at a nearby airport after a STRING of travel mishaps. The airline not-so-graciously gave us a 'distress voucher' offering a discount for a hotel stay. We show up and learn that they completely booked for the night due to a convention, and every hotel for about 30 miles is also booked. The young man behind the counter, Marion, went above and beyond, calling area hotels looking for openings, as did my husband and I. Collectively, we called about 12 places, and got the same response- they're all booked. Marion worked so hard to help us. Once we gave up and waited for our Lyft driver to return us to the airport to sleep on the floor, he kindly offered to allow us to get a snack from the continental breakfast he was setting up. My husband and I couldn't get over how amazing this guy was! As our visit came to a close, on our last night before flying home to CA, we intentionally booked with this hotel in the hopes of running into our new friend. At check in, I ask for him, and alas, he is off today... I tell the girl at the front desk about our ordeal and she says, "(Gasp!) That was you guys?!? He told me about that!!" It turns out this young lady, Emily, is also amazing at her job! We felt incredibly welcomed and as I struggled with an unorganized mess (after having hurriedly emptied a rental car so my fella could take it back), and she assisted my son and I to get our things to the room. Her listening skills and attention to detail also afforded me with the information that my guy could catch a free shuttle back to the hotel after returning the rental car. -Something we were prepared to pay for otherwise with Uber. It's clean and pretty too! I wouldn't come for the pool, as it's small, but other than that, this place has made quite the impression!! read more

We were actually booked at an adjacent hotel but when we arrived they "couldn't find" our reservation and were sold out. We walked with our bags to other hotels on the street and all were sold out due to some sports convention that had brought in thousands of visitors to area hotels. We stopped in with desperate hope the Fairfield would have a room and were greeted by Marion Brayboy, Guest Care Supervisor. While they too were sold out, Marion went above and beyond all expectations calling other hotels to find us a place to stay. Not only did he find one, but allowed his shuttle driver to take us there as we did not have a car. What amazing customer service and compassion! He is our hero! We will be back in the Fall when our daughter gives birth to our first granddaughter and will definitely be staying here! Thank you! read more

This is an ok overnight stop but certainly not one I will return to. Check in was easy and the staff is friendly but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. There is only one easy chair in a King room without an ottoman. The computer desk chair was very uncomfortable. The bad: While sitting in the easy chair, I noticed potato chip crumbs at the edge of the bed on the floor. The mattress cover and sheet came off on my side of the bed during the night. The light in the shower room burned out sometime during the wee hours of the night so we had to shower in the dark in the morning. Coffee is better than in most hotels. The breakfast buffet was also pretty good too. Don't think I will stop here again. read more

I booked hotel 3 weeks ago, and I go in there today after a long day at work for them to say, sorry we over booked then proceed to say "but... we put you in the #"worst place ever motel" don't worry we comped you. Thanks guys! I get bed bug infested place for free! What a great way to do business. No email or call a day before or even an hour before. Just a tough out of luck.. PS.. paying for a room for me that is $40/night is like punching me in the face.. Update... Called hotel back and they put me up in a much much nicer place and stated they only put me up in the dive place cause they were trying to place people close based on location. This is one of my best Fairfield Inn i have ever stayed. This is amazing. The property is so scenic and nice to walk around. Birds, Ducks in the parking lot making it nice to see and it is really pleasant and really quiet , even though it could be closer to highway!:) Factors to consider is - rooms are really large and good - they had refrigerator, microwave in every rooms. I was staying in Room 418. Very close to the Elevator and quiet as well. Breakfast had lot of varieties for Vegetarian.Amazing and wonderful. I cannot say more words -compared to Fairfield inn in Columbia where the cups are real small and does not hold anything nor it is really well kept. Service was excellent especially people like Jerome and Shannon-they make a real difference in the Hospitality industry-they both are true example of Hospitality guest services. Above all, they keep welcome for Platinum, Gold and Silver which i had never seen any hotels. They also have a drawing for Platinum members-you can put your business card. I cannot say more words for the good work and make a real difference-this is one of the best Fairfield Inn and Great Marriott property one should visit!:) Thanks again Sri read more

Nice hotel by the airport. They have a pretty good breakfast buffet with hot and cold options. Rooms have a refrigerator and microwave. Staff is really kind and helpful. Decor is modern and place is very clean. Never had any issues here. Few restaurants within walking distance, also a Walmart nearby. A handful of pizza places deliver here as well. Not the best Fairfield I've stayed at & there were cheaper hotels in the area, but I was banking on the Marriott name to deliver. The lobby, halls & room are a little dated & dreary (90's green carpet). Halls were very smoky smelling & room smelled like it had been febreezed a few times trying to cover up smoke or some other odor. The door to the room didn't seal well allowing light to come in around the door & there is no insulation as you can hear conversations, alarms, phone rings from adjacent rooms & the hallway. The room had a 1980's boxy TV in the console & a newer flat screen on top of the console...what's that about? The fridge was ridiculously loud & the bathroom/vanity is the typical small/no extra counter space that you find in a Fairfield. The shower was powerful w/good water pressure & plenty hot, but the toilet was faulty requiring you hold & wiggle the handle to get it to flush completely. And they cheaped out only giving 1 smal facial bar of soap w/the shampoo & conditioner instead of the facial bar + a bigger bath bar of soap. The staff went through the motions of being friendly, but it didn't feel sincere....like they'd been to customer service class but weren't convinced the kool-aid was worth drinking. And the clerk in the morning was so busy trying to get all of her script in that she didn't hear a word I was saying. The location was decent...plenty of restaurants nearby, wal-mart + a Starbucks & it's close to the interstate. It's not ultra close to the airport but not being familiar w/the area not sure if there are any closer options. The parking is limited & not well lit backing up to a wooded area so I didn't feel super safe parking late/leaving in the early morning hours. read more

Overall good, slight room for improvement. I requested an early check in for noon. We arrived a little early and my husband called to see if a room was ready (if not we were just going to head straight to lunch). The person on the phone said they did have a room for us and he told her great we'll see you in about 15 minutes. Arrive at the hotel and the person and see two employees at a table eating, one of them (I believe it was a manger) stopped eating (and almost seemed annoyed by it). She asked if she could help us and I told her we would like to check in. She responds in a not so nice tone, that is if I have a room available, what is the last name. I provided her the name and the other employee overheard, she said oh yes I just spoke with you, we have a room for you all. I turned around and thanked her. We got checked into the room and sat around for a few minutes. While sitting there I start to hear this squeaky noise and asked my husband if he was making it, he said not sounds like the heat was cutting on. The noise didn't really bother me until it was time to go to sleep and it would cut on every hour to hour and half, for about 5-10 minutes. The breakfast was probably one of the best that I've seen at a hotel, it was fresh, hot and had a variety of items. Other than the squeaking of the ac unit, the person at check in (who became very friendly after that), and some rust spots on the towel rack in the shower. It was a good stay, and I would probably go back. There are a lot of restaurants around as well, and it's not far from the mall and other shopping areas. read more

Everyone there was friendly, but particularly Nora. Travel nurse = Spending many nights in various hotels throughout the month. The first thing I noticed when driving up at 7pm was a staff member cleaning the glass doors. That tells me they take pride in the appearance of this location. I LOVE when I walk in a room and immediately feel like I can kick my shoes off. Also what I loved: the room/ bathroom was super clean, lots of nice towels etc, an extra blanket on the shelf, plenty of lights around the room, the bed was AMAZING!! And smelt fresh and clean, the dining area was very inviting and toasty on the very cold mornings, breakfast was great, it was quiet, the WHOLE staff was excellent from house keeper to maintenance to front desk. This is just a really nice location. It's not fancy fancy but its super clean and well cared for. I have stayed at 8 other locations around Greenville and this one is now in my top TWO lol!!!
