If I could give no stars, I would. After staying here many times, our last experience was absolutely awful and I've spent hours on the phone with Marriott to rectify the situation. Stayed here for a work trip and I would not describe this as luxurious or comfortable. I requested a late check out the night before, and yet I still got calls to the room phone and knocks on my door an hour and a half before I was set to check out. I wouldn't choose to stay here again. read more

This hotel is run by someone who doesn't understand the law. And makes fun of their guests. When my parents went to check in recently they tried to deny a service dog in training, claiming it was a pet. When I explained the law to the manager, she made them wait close to an hour before "deciding" to allow them to stay (I was staying too, but not there for check in) Ohio law states that service dogs in training must be afforded the same rights as a fully trained dog. The manager tried to tell me I was wrong. But she doesn't know the law. She threatened to call police, until I told her I'd gladly do it for her. That's when they finally gave them a room. Several times she violated the Americans with disabilities act. Asking for paperwork about the dog (which is illegal), asking specifically if it's a service dog (also illegal, that's not one of the legally allowed questions) and then saying because the dog was small and kept in a stroller that we were lying about it being a service dog. Again, a violation of the law. (For the record the dog only needs to be in proximity, as it's job is to react and notify her of sugar levels.) Then she threatened that if the dog made a noise during our stay she'd evict us. (If there is an issue, the dog's job is to bark and notify people of her sugar levels). After checkout they charged us a $150 cleaning fee claiming my parents left ashes all over the room. Which is not possible since they didn't smoke in the room. They said that's the reason for the charge. It's a completely fraudulent claim. She said there were photos of the ashes. But refused to show them to me. She also claimed the dog was "served at the breakfast table" which is totally untrue. We only ate breakfast once. There was a piece of bacon dropped on the floor, and then instead of throwing it away, it was fed to the dog. A single piece of food, and not at the table, as the dog was in a stroller next to mom's wheel chair. The manager also claimed there was "feces all over" the room. While I freely admit that the dog in training had an accident in the room. It was cleaned up before we left. And the accident was because it took so long to check in, by the time my father had attended to mom's medical needs the service animal had had an accident. That said, had that been cited as a reason for the charge I'd not complain. But since it was first stated about ashes in the room, it's clear they are trying to make up things to justify charging my mother for being disabled. read more

Idk what it is about not having to make your own bed and stuff but lol Big thanks to the staff in Akron for taking care of us. Me and my brother were in town for a youth football tournament at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton and we had reservations here. Place was nice and clean the staff was very accommodating and breakfast was on point. Every time! Shoutout the breakfast lady! I liked the water infused with lime every morning and night before bed. So refreshing! Room was always clean when returning from Canton and if needed extra towels or bedding was brought up very quickly. These guys don't play around! Lots of local and chain restaurants located nearby and just a couple yards from the highway (8 or 59 I think). Free wifi, television with the channels you know and love, all that. This spot got all that! If I'm ever in Akron again I know where I'll be staying at! read more

I was put in a room next to the ice machine and didn't know it. When I was in bed I heard the ice machine when someone got ice at 11 pm and 12 midnight. Very frustrating when the hot was not very full. Also thermostat was messed up it was either to Hot or too cold. I complained to the front desk and her response is do you want a paper receipt or a one sent to your email. Not I am sorry or how can I make it better for you. Suggestion don't put people in the room rights up next to the ice machine. Will not come back but will go to one of the other hotels right next to them next time. read more

Nice and clean hotel but don't expect to get much sleep. The walls are extremely thin. I was woken up dozens of times due to the family staying directly above us. I can hear running back and forth and doors slamming. The housekeeping are very loud going in and out of the rooms as well. I would not recommend staying here if you enjoy peace and quiet. read more

Marriott should be ashamed to attach their name to this hotel. The thermostat in our room doesn't operate properly; so we had two options - too warm, or cold. There's no way to turn off the fan, which was always blowing cold air. Additionally, there was no heat in the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was abysmal, and when my husband addressed this issue with the manager this morning she said that that's just how their water pressure is! Unacceptable. It's a shame, because Marriott used to have a very solid reputation. read more

I stayed one night. I am disabled so asked for a room close to the elevator. I got a room at the very end of the hall away from the elevator. When we walked in, the carpet was very wet and our socks got soaked. I sent an email in response to how did my visit go and Breanna emailed me back with excuses if how they were busy that weekend and didn't have a chance to clean all the rooms and the carpet had just been cleaned. Then don't put a guest in a room with wet carpet. You have how many floors there but not one room close to the elevator? The front desk staff person upon arrival was also not friendly. read more

Hotel was beautiful and very modern once you walk in but once I go into the room.. Totally different. First off, I go in the bathroom and there's still feces stains in the toilet and used toilet paper. Also there was tooth paste stains on the countertops. Then you go into the room and there's a rip in the couch and the carpet. Stains on the wood trim.. Just as if they rushed to clean the room and don't even care at all. If I knew it was going to be this dirty I would of just stayed home.. Very disappointed. Not the hotel itself I feel like it's just the workers who clean the rooms because it has potential. read more

This is a fine hotel. The front desk service was excellent, the space was very clean, the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was fine. I liked the variety of relatively healthy options (including veggie sausage) without creating a thousand sugary temptations. I also appreciate that I could hang the do not disturb on my door and I did not have anxious housekeeping knocking on my door. And the décor was fresh and modern--it did not remind me of my grandmother's livingroom (no offense grandma). I needed to call the front desk twice and they responded within minutes. The hotel is very near many attractions, and an easy hop onto the highway to Cleveland and Akron. read more

My husband and I stayed here over Christmas. It is a new hotel and everything is clean and very nice! Our room had a very comfortable bed, the gym was great, and the free breakfast in the morning was awesome! We loved eggs, waffles, fruit, and veggie sausage! It was always stocked and very clean. The people that worked there were so friendly. We enjoyed talking to the ladies at the front desk and the lady in charge of the breakfast. Great hotel! read more

Think trying a brand new hotel is a good idea? Think again. I checked in around 9pm, the front desk person was standoffish to say the least and I couldn't understand a thing she said. The elevator was a terrifying ride and my room was mediocre at best. There was a film in the bathroom that was slippery and old pizza in the microwave. The comp breakfast was worse than what a gas station would serve. I'll stay with the Courtyard from now on across the street. read more
