Nice clean comfortable accommodation. Just a few comments for potential improvement : 1. Breakfast closes at 9:30 on weekends and 9:00 during the week. Not great if you are planning a vacation weekend. 2. Like many hotels -there are no towel bars to hang your towels if you want to reuse them for the environments sake.They told me we should place them on the shelf under the sink -no thank you, they won't dry well there. 3. For Senior citizens and others -there is only one grab bar for the shower -at the entry -but there are NO bars to hold onto once you are in the shower. A safety issue in our room there was only a curtain, not a glass four, which would not help if you slipped 4. Internet cuts off intermittently -was not reliable -staff told me to adjust my phone even though it works in every other hotel . Positives : Rooms are quiet . Libby is nice . I had a reservation that I made on July 9 to attend a wedding. It was part of a room block and I was very specific when making the reservation that I needed an ADA room (my husband is in a wheelchair) with 2 queen beds for my children. 3 days prior to our visit I received a call from the manager claiming no ADA rooms existed. This resulted in me having to book last minute somewhere else and having to pay over $50 dollars more a night working with just what was left. I am certain that I will never stay at a Marriott hotel again seeing as you have no consideration for ADA needs. read more

We decided to stay here, (our family of 4) when the power went out in our home. The ladies at the front desk were quite accommodating and pleasant. The room was very clean, which, of course, was an amazing find! Most hotel staff ,now, will not meet any standard of what it takes to run a guest service operation, all while whining about Covid being the culprit. But, not this hotel! There was an evening when our upstairs "neighbors" were enjoying a bout of wrestle mania at midnight, and a quick phone call to the desk took care of our sleep disturbance. They were professional and courteous throughout our visit. We had the most pleasant power outage while staying with them. I'd highly recommend. The ONLY reason for the 4 stars is a very simple one. The bathroom door had a pane of glass, rather than being a solid door. When anyone got up throughout the night, the light shone brightly throughout the room. I was the only one in my family who was disturbed by it, but it does detract from the sleep quality. read more

I had the opportunity to stay here for one night on my visit to Shenandoah National Park. The hotel is approximately 20-25 minutes away from Shenandoah National Park. We ended up booking a studio 1 king bed. Everything about this hotel was positive for us. We had a great stay! The hotel was very clean and the inside has just been renovated to include the rooms, actually it is still under going reservations at this time which have not been completed. Our room was just renovated with new furniture and it was very very clean and ample. Our room included 2 large TV's and 2 couches. The restroom was very nice also. The hotel also offered hot breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately, the pool was closed due to renovations. Parking is free and available outside with cameras located in the parking lot. Overall, we had a great experience, great service and beautiful, clean rooms. I will definitely be staying here again! read more

My wife and two children stayed here for about 8 weeks while our house was being finished up. During our stay the staff went above and beyond for anything and everything we needed. The housekeeping staff are extremely trustworthy and professional. Probably the worst night sleep I have gotten anywhere. A major road directly in front of the hotel literally left me in traffic all night - every Mack truck rumble, every noisy muffler is less than 100yds away. Its 5AM and being partially deaf and a sound sleeper, I am in awe of lying awake hearing my neighbor repeatedly yawn/snore and an eerie metallic whining that occurs every 20 minutes. Quick overnight stay while traveling north. Clean, no nonsense check in. Safe and friendly.

They were very accommodating again to our motorcycle group by allowing us to park under the overhang. Staff is friendly. Rooms are clean. The suites are small, but very nice. Bed comfort was good. Breakfast was typical of most Fairfields. Eggs, meat, cereal, breads, oatmeal, fruit, etc. The fitness center was OK. They seemed to always have one of the treadmills turned off. Easy access to the highway and local stores. read more

Hotel was very clean but just had to complain about something this was forwarded to location and Marriott.hate to complain about this .This is what I stepped on from bottom of couch in room 214 last night. Yes it hurt but skin was not broken. I brought to front desk around 6pm and they just stated ok thanks There was like no concern & I was a little concerned about that. Nothing of the fact are you ok or nothing. I apologize but I've been doing mystery shopping for 20+ years and now I kind of have to give compliments/concerns.   When I came back in from show I spoke to LOGAN at front desk. She was awesome. I mentioned to her about incident. She was ready to give me the world. She was very professional and to me cared about her job. Welcomed all guest coming & going.   This app as well is very confusing as well. To ask for towels etc is like pulling teeth. Had very hard time making reservation thru 800-Marriott I would bet my life savings that person was talking to someone on cell phone / speaker and not giving me 100%   Items requested such as testing the app with extra shaving items,tooth paste etc worked out great. Walked in room and thought maybe was a small birthday present (birthday on Sunday) or a welcome surprise,all kidding aside now but was the bag with items in it. read more

The hotel was clean and comfortable. We stayed there this past weekend visiting friends in the area for Thanksgiving. We booked the one bedroom suite which was very small (2 adults, 2 children) and I was told at the time of booking that the bedroom was separate from the living area. It isn't really, there a privacy wall (our boys could see us in the evenings and had difficulty sleeping because of it), a tiny living area where the pull out couch is. You can barely walk around it once set up. We also didn't have our room serviced at all during our stay (it was the Friday after thanksgiving but we did see maids on our floor when we exited our room that morning at around 10am) and we made sure that the privacy tag was off our room door. We arrived back at 5pm. We didn't bother requesting it be cleaned as we were back for the evening and didn't want to leave again and we were checking out early the next day. The breakfast was good - waffles, bagels, toast, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt and juices. Our boys enjoyed! Overall, not a terrible experience but not sure I'd be back. Or I'd try to book adjoining rooms to be a bit more comfortable. read more

Was kicked out of hotel for inquiring about a potential partial refund and/or Marriott points after checking in and realizing the fitness center was undergoing renovations and we were not aware when booking or checking in. Just from asking about this they required us to leave due to a policy about not allowing unhappy guests to stay there. We made it very clear that we weren't unhappy and it wasn't a big deal at all and did not want to leave, we just wanted to let them know it wasn't made obvious when booking and also were just asking a question about a refund - not demanding one. Absolutely unbelievable. We are Marriott gold elite members and have stayed here many times for business and have never heard of such an absurd thing. Will never be staying at this Fairfield again. read more

So now I get to watch Netflix and chill lol but seriously, just a pretty standard Fairfield Inn and Suites. @Marriott should definitely take into far better consideration to whom they allow to become franchises. This property has the smallest size beds. I PREPAID for my reservation and a specific room type. Upon arrival I was informed that my room type was not available and that I must accept the 2 bed room that was available. I did so begrudgingly, due to the fact that it was late at night. However, I must say that I expected at least 2 QUEEN size beds. The beds were seemingly a full size bed, saying double is a stretch. I tossed, turned, and bumped my head at every turn. The night auditor was polite but basically apathetic to the situation. I don't know if it was due to a language barrier or just not knowledgeable. He did finally reach out to the front desk manager who stated that he would follow up and rectify the situation. I will come back and provide and update and hopefully be able to have restored faith in @MarriottBonvoy. read more

Stay away if you are looking to get sleep. So much noise. Was up all night with the outside noise. The bed was super uncomfortable and the rooms where small. I felt very squished once in there. The free breakfast was not worth getting up for. Broke toaster,no waffles and the coffee is Watered down. Only reason it's getting 2 stars is because the guy in the office last was semi helpful even if it was his first week here. He did more to accommodate my feather allergy than I expected. read more

Pros: The availability of dining and shopping within a short distance of hotel was good. The free breakfast was served in a clean environment and the food choices were well stocked and a good variety. Cons: This hotel is in need of a complete renovation. Although the carpet appeared to be new, there were cracks and water stains in the ceiling of our room. Furniture was dated. The pool is a joke. Not much bigger than a standard hot tub which they don't have. It also appeared to need a good cleaning. The microwave and fridge in the room were limited in scope and use. The fridge had no thermostat and no freezer section. It at best maintained our drinks at tepid temperatures. The microwaves capacity could barely heat 2 cups of water at a time. There is no lock box in the room to secure your valuables and the lock box offered at front desk was not large enough to secure them either. So leaving your laptop and other valuables in the room is at your own peril. The front desk staff is lackadaisical at best. For example, when it was brought to their attention that a car was parked in the handicapped space without a permit, his response was "we really don't enforce that. People just pretty much park where they want". The coffee and tea service at the front desk was constantly empty. Listed as no pets, yet there were dogs thorough out the facility! This hotel is definitely not up to Marriott standards. We will not be back and do not recommend it to any one. read more

I noticed this place had excellent reviews, much better than other hotels near by. So we decided to stay. I unfortunately wish I'd gone elsewhere. Immediately upon walking into our room this oder invaded my nostrils and won't leave.. it smells of sex toys and latex. So strong that I'd swear someone just finished doing the deed seconds before we walked in. It's also pretty obvious they didn't bother to change the sheets as there are hairs and dirty body stains all over them. They pulled up the comforter and called it good. With all our things unpacked and the kids asleep it's beyond inconvenient to change rooms. For the money we paid I'd AT LEAST like my room to LOOK clean. Thankfully we are only passing through VA and won't need to stay here again. I'm disgusted. read more

Very friendly desk staff that can give you great ideas of where to eat and play while in the area. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff here are very friendly, attentive and helpful. Zero complaints about them. That being said, if you plan on getting a decent night's sleep here, make sure to request the back side of the building. The front facing rooms are right next to Route 522 which seems to be a favorite for emergency vehicles and semi trucks. Every single night I am awoken by sirens and/or extremely loud trucks passing by. And if you're lucky enough to have your window fall under the light cast by the spotlights, it's near impossible to fully block out the light. Hotel is clean, bed is comfy, and staff are nice. But I doubt you'll sleep well in fully half of the rooms due to the noise. read more

The staff was uncooperative with settling them down and said there was nothing they could do. Children running the halls at 1 am in the morning. Lobby was disruptive. I left some shoes in the room and called about them a few hours later. They said they would call back but didn't. I called the next day and they said they could not find them. I said hard to believe as I know I locked the door and they got all incensed I was accusing them of stealing. I said if the facts showed that then "yes". I agree with the other person who said stay away if you want to sleep. The hotel itself is fine. It works & I was happy with it overall but sleep is important. The road noise alone is enough to keep you up. The A/C keeps you chilly so we had it turned down. Therefore no white noise to block out the noise. I awoke from a dead sleep around 12am hearing voices. I thought maybe it was a neighbor or the radio or something. Nope looked outside & there were a group of people sitting around on the patio talking & drinking. (Later noticed the patio has a sign no alcohol allowed outside). I called down to the front desk to complain. If they were spoken to it didn't help. They weren't that loud but just enough to be really annoying trying to sleep. The hotel is poorly insulated or something. Breakfast was not great. Kids liked the waffles but not much for me. Toaster is still wonky. 7 on my toaster at home would give you brunt toast. Barely toasted here. The front desk staff are very nice & go out of their way to help you. We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds & a pull out sofa which we utilized. Once pulled out you could barely walk by & you have to turn sideways. Makes middle of the night trips to the bathroom interesting. Also there are no extra outlets or charging ports like some more updated hotels. We had to unplug lamps & clocks to charge our devices. Rooms were nice overall but could use a update. Overall I wouldn't stay again because there are other options in the area I would try first. read more

After traveling all day, my husband and I couldn't find a place to stay. We stopped here and we were greeted with a smile and a room. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was awesome. Hot breakfast and really good coffee topped it off. Definitely will come back. read more
