One of them is that during quarantine, my son and I can walk over so that he can run wild! I'm super hesitant to write this review, because I really don't want it to become crowded. But, there's never anyone there. I've never seen another soul on the playgrounds and I pass the school multiple times a day going to and from my house. I finally felt safe taking my two year old this week for some vitamin D and outdoor play time. As always, he loved it. They actually have a sign up saying that their facilities are open at this time, but to proceed at your own risk :) Looks like they've redone the pathway to the two big kid playgrounds and track since we last visited. It now has stairs and an accessible ramp for folks with wheelchairs or strollers. We did a couple laps around the track and it's a nice change in scenery from our neighborhood, which we have stuck to during covid. I've heard nothing but wonderful things about this school and staff and I'm looking forward to my son being a student there in a couple years.

They have exceeded our expectations at every step! The interview process left my 4th grader beaming with pride and with more than 5 summer outings, my 9th grader was glad to have friends on the first day. Academic deans worked with us to recommend class leveling based on transcript, standard testing and summer pre work. Teachers have been wonderful and go above and beyond for the students. As parents, we are so relieved to learn about the leadership role that the college admissions team will have in helping our kids navigate the college application process. Steward really focuses on developing the whole child and keeps parents engaged with great communication along the way. We are so thankful to be part of the Steward Spartan Family.

This location is in Hanover County right behind SJMS and Sherwood Apartments. The Goddard school provides child care and after school programs. Summer Camp is always fun here and your kids will learn a lot. They cater to the needs of all children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age. The staff is always friendly and the owners Kathy and Steve DeNunzio will make you feel welcomed along with the wonderful teachers. I love that being an employee here meant being apart of such a great childcare facility and growing along with the school. The first building is for ages 6 weeks to pre-k and the back building (Kabanda) was for kindergarten as well as after school. There are two playgrounds one for the 2's and under and one for the big kids. Yes, it is on the pricey end of things, but quality is always a good thing. Id recommend checking out The Goddard School if you're interested in childcare.

They get to know the students and find ways to encourage them towards success. The only way a student could fail is if he/she does not put forth any effort. I have first hand knowledge of this and it is solely up to the student if they want to pass or fail. Teachers will let students know ahead of time if they are not meeting requirements and then will reach out to the parents to express concerns and options available if they believe the student needs extra tutoring. No, the curriculum is not easy, but the resources to pass any class are plentiful if a student needs more instructional time or understanding any particular coursework required. The opportunities are endless! The students are reminded they can excel in anything, even if they are not confident on what their goals are beyond high school just yet. For those who do have an idea or plan for the future, the early exposure towards those goals are very easy to begin working towards while being a Jaguar! It is very possible for students to graduate with an associate's degree, certification in one of the many trades the county offers, and/or early graduation! Also, with many athletic programs and clubs, it makes it very easy to establish great relationships to contribute to a healthy social environment during and out of school. My son only experienced 3 years in Glen Allen (freshmen year was virtual), but even with everyone adjusting to the new normal and us being new to the Glen Allen neighborhood, this school really surpassed all my expectations! Everyone from Sabot was so helpful, accommodating and attentive. Previously I had met with their events coordinator- she gave me a tour and allowed me to take photos of the venue. After sending the deposit and securing the date Sabot notified us that one of the kindergarten classes was having a pizza party of sorts on that Sunday and would be using the main house- however they allowed us use of the event space instead which was a beautiful open space that worked even better with the aesthetic that we were going for. On the day after we had just finished the ceremony and we're heading inside for cake and champagne the kindergarten class waved and were congratulating my husband and I from the Windows that the teacher had opened- it was absolutely adorable and made our day! Sabot also allowed my husband to arrive early in order to set up the sweetheart table , candles and all of the goodies which was much appreciated. I couldn't have asked for a better venue for my special day!
