Our daughter Kaia started with Samantha as a little toddler, and from day one, we knew we found something special. The amount of care, intention, and heart she pours into the kids is rare. The home-cooked meals alone are incredible (meals I wish someone cooked for me), but it is so much more than that. There is structure, fun, learning, outdoor time, music, a jumpee, arts and crafts, everything a child needs to grow, explore, and feel safe. When we first started, there was a mutual trial period and we were a little weirded out by it, but now we totally get it, Samantha makes sure it's a great fit for her as well as for you, as a parent. The result is a group of very well adjusted kids, parents who care and are invested in their kid's development, and a group of kids that care for each other. Samantha communicates, sets clear expectations, and makes parents feel at ease. Even on days when drop-off was tough, Kaia ran into her arms like she was going to see family. That tells you everything. Our daughter has grown in ways we cannot even put into words, socially, emotionally, and developmentally. Samantha has been an essential part of our household and our lives. Leaving California means leaving Homegrown Daycare, and it is bittersweet. This place is unforgettable, and so is Samantha. If you are a parent searching for a daycare where your child will be loved, protected, and poured into, look no further. We are forever grateful for her and her own family. We hope they come visit us in Hawaii someday. Five stars is not enough for the level of care she gives. Samantha, Kaia and we will miss you so very much and thank you for guiding Kaia's growth love, kindness, and patience.

Samantha creates so many engaging, hands-on activities that keep the children interested and learning every day. My son comes home with the most creative art projects that we cherish. She is incredibly responsive to my son's needs and provides a loving, nurturing environment. She provides home cooked breakfast and lunch that is nutritious everyday! Her home is always clean, organized, and welcoming. She is always communicative with our family. Our son truly enjoyed coming to daycare and looked forward to it each day, which meant so much to us as parents. We always felt confident that he was safe, well cared for, and genuinely loved while he was there. We are very grateful for the care our family received and highly recommend this daycare to others.

We're so proud of the person she has become and we owe a lot of her mental, emotional and social development to Maria and her family at Cordelia Family Daycare. While she may have been apprehensive at the very beginning, it wasn't long before she started looking forward to spending time with Ms. Maria and the other children whenever we needed to drop her off before work or after school. On our rides back home we love listening to her talk about her day and the friends she made at daycare. We love that they're an in-home daycare for many reasons -- the home-like feel, the individual attention and the flexibility. Their hours and days of operation are extremely convenient and we could not have asked for more from a scheduling standpoint (especially on days when school is closed for one reason or another). Maria is a kind, understanding and patient person, doing a job (with Roheena and Monisa) that is far from easy and doing it well. They say "it takes a village to raise a child" and we are so grateful to have Cordelia Family Daycare in our village.

But Maria and her family members have built such supportive environment from which our little one came back home always happy and healthy. The communication is always there to keep us in the loop, and they have many options to help with commute. Highly recommended.

I have never had a problem with this childcare or any staff there since my child has been there. When she is there I know she is being well taken care of. We agreed that my son would start right after his first birthday and I was very excited and hopeful that we would be a good fit. My son was born during a pandemic and has some anxiety being away from mom for too long because he's so used to being at home...but he generally does well. On his first day, he did relatively well and I got photos of him engaging with the other kids and napping. On his second day, after being there for an hour, I got a call to pick my son up because he was crying. The assistant said they checked him for fever and that he was fine but then went on to say that they just didn't think he was a good fit for the program. She then proceeded to say that my application was cancelled and wanted to know if I wanted my payment back in cash or money order. No plan to work with him to help him transition, no concern for if there was an underlying issue, no nothing. Just come get your baby and don't bring him back because he is crying. I'm just so disappointed, hurt and offended at the idea that a 12 month old baby gets kicked out of daycare on his second day for crying for an hr. Especially when Zerghon herself told me how other kids in the program had hard transitions and ended up working out over time! I mean, isn't that a typical process for babies? What makes my baby different? I can't help but think there is other motivating factors at play here. My baby fell asleep in the car while we were driving home by the way. He was crying because he was tired.
