I have a toddler in the twos class. This is the second daycare I have put him in since I moved to Fairfield and all I have is great things to say! My daughter loves coming here. You can really tell that the teachers care about the child's development and it's not just a day care. The teachers are super friendly, admin is helpful. I love the perks of this place, it's honestly unheard of for a daycare. They always have updates through out the day so you know what's going on with your child. Tutor Time of Fairfield has been a great fit for our 3 kids, 3 and under! We started a little over a month ago and the kids adapted so quickly. I was initially worried about transitioning from an in home daycare but I am happy to report that Tutor Time has exceeded our expectations already. The teachers and staff are friendly and kind and the facilities are cute and clean. The new management truly cares about the school and keeps us informed with prompt communication. My wife and I moved to Fairfield in 2017. At that time, we had our first baby and needed daycare. We visited Tutor Time and came out of that meeting knowing this was the best place for our kids to be while not at home. Fast forward to now in 2025 and our now 2 kids are in elementary school, we look back and know that sending our kids to tutor time was the best decision. They have cameras in each classroom that you can access if you're missing your little ones. You receive daily updates on what your kids are eating, activities accomplished and pictures/videos of the class. There are so many staff members that are memorable with our kids but especially Ms. Alicia who has been there for all of our kids since day 1. I have definitely seen a difference in my daughter since she began attending Tutor Time almost two years ago. She is a very shy child, and, with the help and guidance of Tutor Time staff, she has blossomed and is able to talk and play with the other children. I appreciate how patient they were with her and took special care of her. When we walk in to her classroom, she gets hugs from staff, which makes her feel welcome and accepted. My daughter has made new friends in her class and constantly tells me all the fun activities she does. I find Tutor Time to be essential and beneficial for her development. I would also like to mention as a parent, the security feature of two double doors and a code that only parents/guardians have, make me feel that they are taking precautions to ensure our little ones are safe. I love that they have a Sproutsapp for parents, so we can view in real time, video from the classroom and always can check on our children. I appreciate the daily updates of food they ate, if she went to the bathroom, etc. It makes me feel connected to my daughter while she is in school. Thank you so much Tutor Time! read more

My child has been attending Tutor Time for 5 years, starting at age 2 and now going into age 7. This place has truly become like a second family to us. It's not just a daycare or preschool -- it's a nurturing, supportive community that cares deeply for each and every child. From infants as young as 6 months to kids up to 10 years old, the staff knows every child by name, which speaks volumes about the level of personal care they provide. The environment is warm, welcoming, and safe -- exactly what every parent hopes for. What I love most is how much fun my child has while learning. Even when she thinks she's just playing, they're constantly teaching and helping her grow emotionally, socially, and academically. I can't recommend Tutor Time enough. I'm extremely disappointed with the care & attention my grandchild received at TutorTime in Fairfield on cherryhill. Despite repeatedly informing the staff that my grandson is lactose intolerant by his dad & myself, they continued to give him milk &cheese, which caused him discomfort & distress. Furthermore, it took three weeks to create a cubby for him, even after we mentioned it several times, the Asst. director gave excuses such as the teachers were busy, the printer for pictures was not working etc, then finally, he was given a cubby with his picture on it. However after 2 days, they removed his picture from the cubby without explanation.we asked why no cubby, again? And more excuses were offered. The 2yr old classroom had 1 main teacher Ms Evelyn, but often there were other teachers there without her. And although she was good with the children, the revolving door of teachers, made it difficult for anything that was known to the main teacher to be enforced. So my grandson was constantly given regular milk, not noting lactose, using someone else sheets/cover for nap because - he has no cubby so another revolving teacher Didnt know which blanket was his -"per her reason" - it lead to a host of inconsistencies. We made the Asst. director AND Alicia the director, aware of the many incidents as they occurrd & they never took responsibility. Always gave excuses. i asked how can we make sure ALL teachers know he's lactose? Instead of her saying i ll meet with all my staff and tell every teacher he's lactose (child management 101) or i ll review with all staff the importance of reviewing the "posted allergy list"before serving the 2 year olds... her reply was "we have a list posted of all the children with allergies, and i will tell Ms Evelyn." What good does it do it post an allergy list in the classroom if ALL the teachers aren't viewing it before serving the kids with allergies? Also mentioning she would tell Ms Evelyn was ridiculous because i had already told her Ms Evelyn knows! My question was What about all the "other" teachers that are giving him regular milk and cheese? Alicia is not interested in problem solving or taking a leadership role for the safety of the children. In stead she would rather sit back, unbothered and offer excuses or flat out lies. i feel the most concerning incidents were the lapses in safety & security. On one occasion, after my son dropped my grandson and off, they failed to check him into class, so the cameras didn't turn on, leaving us unable to monitor his activity. (which is suppose to be the big hype on enrolling your child there, to see what your child is doing all day) After a while, our family member, literally, had to drive up to the school that day (because they Didnt answer the phones) and ask Alicia/staff to log him in so the cameras would turn on for us. Again, Alicia offered no apologies, only excuses - saying 1 teacher was in restroom, the revolving teacher thought the other 1 logged him in, as the excuse to why he wasn't checked in. Total chaos & disorganization. In another disturbing incident, a revolving teacher changed my grandsons diaper while he was standing up near the trash can, exposing his naked bottom to the camera for all users in the classroom on the Sprouts app to see him. i spoke to the teacher about it at pick up time & she apologized. At least she did take ownership and didn't give me excuses. We as a family tried to be understanding and was hopeful that after an adjustment period things would get better because all this occurred in the span of 3-4 weeks. However the last straw was when my son dropped my grandson off to class during breakfast time & witnessed a teacher give him a slice of cheese, again! At that point he removed his son from the class And the program. The repeated oversights & lack of attention to detail leads to question the preschool under the director Alicia's leadership ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children. I would not recommend Tutor Time to other parents and ESPECIALLY if your child has a food allergy. In a nutshell we experienced laziness, inconsiderate behavior and they take life threatening chances with children. read more

Excellent place to enroll your child! I had my son attend preschool here and I was so pleased with the experience. Cameras are in the classroom so you can check in on your little one. The Brightwheel app was periodically updated through out the day by the teacher including what meal your LO ate and even how much, the time your LO took a nap and when he/she woke up, the times he/she went potty, and activities/crafts/games that were done along with photos! Miss Yarima was my son's teacher and she was so sweet and comforting to my son while he was there! Ms. Kathy too was also very helpful and friendly when i would see her! We love tutor time! Our 4 year old has attended tutor time for 6 months and it has been such a stress relief for our family. We have tried two other day cares in the area and this is by far the best. Ms. Alicia (the director) is so kind and caring and helpful. Our daughters teachers are amazing and so great with the kids. I live the app and being able to check in on the cameras and see what she has eaten or activities she has done or if she napped that day. We really feel so at ease with our kid attending and know she's in a safe environment and thriving. read more

My 2 kids went there for a few weeks , but I was not happy at all with a few things ,, They have so many kids for just 1 teacher,, and some days they will be very short on staff and I asked them once, "Does that happened often..??" And they said yes They will have kids crying and not paying attention to them,, One time I have to call them because they had a guy who was not a teacher, to help my kid fall asleep, My poor little one was crying because he didn't know him. After one week attending Tutor Time of Fairfield, I witnessed my 1 year old son being assaulted by a staff member named Maryam who dragged him and another child across the classroom by their arms as they screamed and cried. The administration did not address this terrible incident adequately and seemed intent on avoiding any real consequences for the teacher in question. I noticed there aren't many recent reviews of Tutor Time & I have to imagine that is because there are happy parents here. When I was first on the hunt for a new daycare I tried using Yelp to help my search & found it unhelpful. I'll give my input with the experience I have. Our little one is ~2.5 started with daycare in Vacaville at Kindercare- this was close to our work & worked well for drop offs with our schedule- this won't be a review of KC (although the 2's teacher Adrienne is stellar & we definitely didn't leave because we were unhappy). We decided to move her to a daycare closer to home- this is where Tutor Time comes in. T.T. is near another elementary school & we were worried about drop off & pick up being a traffic nightmare- & it definitely can be. Test out the drive for drop off/pick up at your normal time before making your choice. T.T. feels like a mini elementary school. The building is setup with a front desk, playgrounds, hallways & doors into each different classroom like you'd imagine (I mention this because it's different than KC). It's relatively quiet in the hallways (unless my kid is in there yelling because she likes the echo). There is an Infant classroom, toddler (1-2), 2's, preschool, etc. We weren't here during the infant or toddler years so I can't speak to those rooms. We started at T.T. in August '19 in the 2's room. The 2's room (& the toddler room too) have a bathroom inside the classroom. One normal size & one toddler size. Our daughter showed signs of wanting to use the potty at 14 months, but we really couldn't initiate potty training because there was no potty in the toddler room at KC (or there is in the infant room, but it's a storage closet now & unused. The toddler room has access to a potty, but don't allow kids to use it- they store the bedtime cots in front of the door- they say because of licensing rules. They do have a potty in the 2's room at KC.) The 2's room is the classroom where potty training occurs. Our daughter had 2 weeks of potty training started from KC (they did great there with this) & by the time was in T.T. only had accidents occasionally. To move into the Pre-School class, the kids have to be fully potty trained. Next, we LOVE Ms. Tiarra, the teacher in the 2's room. She is exactly what you'd want a 2's teacher to be. Kind, patient, energetic, organized, & loving. We often ask at the end of the day "what made you happy/what made you sad today at school" & Ms. Tiarra is always on the list of things that made her happy. Ms. Tamika also does a great job in the mornings at easing our daughters anxiety about drop off- walking her over to the window to wave good bye to me as I drive away. I can't remember the name of all the teachers, but one in the "drop off" room will do my daughters hair occasionally (in braids or pony tail) if I've left it down (this doesn't bother me) & my daughter loves it. The art in this class is less "personalized" than the art we received from KC. We used to get all sorts of things with our daughters hand print on it, etc. Here, the art is typically some kind of cut out shape (letter, number, shape) that the kids have glued to a paper. Or in the morning the coloring is less free-form & more "here is a sheet from a coloring book, color on it" I do miss the art from KC, but don't feel like there is anything wrong with what is happening at TT. Now my daughter is starting to transition to Pre-School & is spending some time in that class these days too, but I'm not sure of the name of the teacher in that room, yet. So far, nothing bad to say. On rainy days, there is a separate room the kids go to, they call "the village" that gives them at least the feeling of "going outside to play." Other things: T.T. is less expensive than KC. At T.T., if your child is not potty trained there is the option of using diapers provided by T.T. & having the cost of that included in your tuition. This would have been a huge convenience while my daughter was in diapers. KC did allow me to bring cloth diapers, I'm not sure what T.T. will say about it. The code to enter the building is personalized (KC had one code that all parents knew). T.T. has a camera system, you login to view (not hear) your kid during the school day. I used this a lot in the beginning, & less now that I've noticed her her happy every time I check in. They have an app where the teachers log everything- check in (this is in addition to the check in you do as a parent when you're in the lobby), morning "snack", including what they ate (note: KC provides "breakfast" which means 3 food groups instead of the 2 provided at T.T. Usually, fruit is what's missing from T.T. am snack, this is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5), potty, nap, lunch, afternoon snack, & check out. They put pictures in there from the day (I LOVE this- probably my favorite feature of the app.) Nap is the same as KC- some amount of sleeping happens between the hours of 12-3. read more

I don't recommend this business especially for children who are 2 years old. The 2-year old room was highly understaffed when my daughter was attending. For example, a child was left behind in the classroom unattended while the rest of the class was playing outside. Children are left unattended in the classroom while the only teacher was doing rounds for potty training. The children would be eating and running around at the same time. The class size was way too big. There was an instance when I was watching through the video app during my break. I saw another child push my daughter to the ground and kick her while she was down. There was no teacher in sight. I immediately called the school. The teacher reported that the children were "playing". Since then we searched for a better daycare that had a small class size. It took a few months but we found one in our own neighborhood. We never looked back to tutor time ever since read more

Best decision I could have made for my son. I have had bad experiences at other places... my son was pretty behind for a three year old... he is now shocking me everyday with his vocabulary, manners, sentence structure... I love that they use an App to update me on things he's doing, what and how much he is eating, I get pictures of him playing and learning with his friends... You usually get those updates at Nap Time, since they are busy with the kids throughout the day. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about TutorTime! read more

I had a friend recently ask me about my son's school and how I liked it. She was in for a story! I took it back to 16 years ago when my oldest was at TT. I had such a wonderful experience with the staff, curriculum and care for my daughter back then that when we were looking for somewhere to send our 4 year old a couple of years ago it was a no brainer. We enrolled our little guy in TT June of 2019 and I've been just as pleased as I was 16 years ago. The teachers and staff are compassionate and engaging. Ms. Alicia and Ms. Kathy are always pleasant and fun to talk with and excellent in communicating with their parents especially in the last two years as we all dealt with very fluid times during the pandemic. Ms. Tarah is currently our little guys teacher now and we're over the moon happy with her. When your child tells you one of their favorite people is a teacher of theirs it has to warm your heart. As a parent, you only hope to leave your child with people who treat them well and care for them as you would. I would say Ms. Tarah does just that with the little ones she teaches. The teaching doesn't stop in the classroom with Ms. Tarah she cares for them in and outside of school as she's shared resources for us to use at home in areas our son needs extra help in because she cares about her students succeeding. There are so many wonderful teachers at TT, Ms. Tiarra has also been another one of his teachers that brought energy and order to his Two's class while he was in that class. We were so pleased with all of the activities she had planned in her curriculum for the littles. Her efforts were noticed all over the classroom. Ms. Vicki is also another one that makes our heart smile. She was on the staff when my daughter was at TT and she's there now. She doesn't know this but it always makes me smile when she's in his class as they're transitioning in the mornings or afternoons because it feels like it did 16 years ago when I see her, a sense of comfort and home. Though this facility is pricey, it was worth it. I had absolute peace of mind knowing my son was in a clean, safe, caring environment. When I'd drop him off he'd take off and play as if I was chop liver. When I picked him up he was happy as can playing outside or inside having snack. It was very obvious he was learning when he started using signs to express his needs and doing the motions to songs. The staff were all very caring and attentive to needs. We've moved out of state and wish there were a tutor time here or a comparable facility. read more

We recently moved to the area and were determined to find a center that would continue the great care that our girls received at their previous day care. She gives me a report on his day, is great with all the kids and handles all that crazy 3 year old energy so well! My daughter joined Tutor time 2 years ago when we moved to the area from Texas. We were nervous about finding her a day school since we had only experienced one other school. It was important to us to find a day school that was focused on education and not just a baby sitting service. Tutor Time has long service head teachers that have taken education to the next level. When our daughter went for her Kindergarten assessment at Nelda Mundy Elementary School, the teachers were impressed with how much she knew at her age. She is more than prepared to begin her education at one of the best elementary schools in the area and continue her education with Tutor Time after school. read more

BUYER BEWARE. I put my girls in this school for 6 days. My husband and I spend time there and did popup visits. My husband witnessed the toddler room under staffed with toddlers in corners of the room crying alone. Staff would hold 1 child and when a parent came in would take their child and seem attentive, put that child down and pick up the child being held first. There were children crying in different places in the room (on the floor, in a corner etc.) At one point there were 13 or so toddlers and babies in the room with 2 teachers. He stayed until the older children moved into the toddler only room. Another day I popped up at lunch and saw that both teachers were changing diapers the whole time I was there. The third lady was walking the children around in a buggy in the hallway. I sat there and saw that the children were again fending for themselves while the teachers changed diapers and upon finishing immediately began preparing snack. My daughter cried and cried all the time every single day. She was exclusively watched at home and was used to attention. I gave it a week or so to see if it improved and it did not. My 4 year old's class was chaotic more often than not. I found a local Montessori school that was MUCH better and cheaper than this circus of a daycare. read more
