My laptop has suffered some sort trauma and now the screen will periodically freeze then gradually become completely white. If I play with the screen a bit, flip it back and forth between open and closed a few times, then it will work ok.. for a while. I stopped in here for an estimate. The guy said he had never seen anything like this, that he would have to open it us and take a look. I asked if there was a diagnostic fee, and he replied with "yes... $60"... !! I don't know about you, but I don't feel like subsidizing the education of someone else's technician... that's not what I pay for. I pay for expertise and service. I took a tablet with a crack screen that was stuck in the apple logo in January to be fixed. It is now April and while they fix the screen the other issue is still not fixed and every time I call they let me know it is at another location to fix that issue. I have asked numerous time that if they are not able to fix just let me know and give me a partial refund and return my device they keep telling me it can be fixed and they are working on it. still unable to get my device or any updates read more

AWFUL! Run! I got completely ripped off by Fairfix. I went in to have my iPhone screen repaired and the first screen they gave me was a complete disaster. It was discolored and glitchy beyond belief. I went back and wasted another hour of my time, only to be charged more money for an "authentic" Apple screen. The authentic screen turned out to be refurbished and still has issues. $200 later I have a loose screw on the bottom of my phone that has been stripped, and a sour taste in my mouth. Had my iphone 7 plus screen repaired last month, however, the screen is now sensitive and the speaker sounds differently. I didn't bring it back in case it becomes worse if it is opened again. They do state they have a warranty but I prefer to play it safe and just live with the two new issues. At least i got the glass repaired for 75.00 with a groupon. read more

Needed to replace cracked screen on my Samsung Galaxy. They said they needed to order a new one, so I prepaid a week before, for screen and replacement - $130. Reasonable price. I go to the store when the screen arrives to have it replaced. They tell me that the screen which they ordered had a wire that was too short, so they used a different screen for replacement. They said that the only difference was the color. I said fine. I don't care about the color. So now I wait for another hour while they do the job. When they finished, the phone wouldn't take a charge. They put another battery in, and eventually it began to hold a charge.since I had been there far longer than planned, I left with my phone with the intent to finish charging it at work, which I did. Later, as I was using the phone, I noticed that of the two standard buttons that illuminate on the bottom left and right of the phone, only the right side 'back button' was illuminated and operational; the other which minimizes the app on display at present, among other similar functions, was not functioning. Then I noticed that I was getting a 'storage almost full' notification warning. I went into application manager to see if I needed to move apps back to the SD card from internal storage as sometimes during reboot, storage reverts to internal. There is where I noticed that my device was not recognizing the SD card. At first I thought it was gone. Eventually I determined that it was still there, but whomever worked on my phone, wiped it completely. If this wasn't enough, the phone now crashes and reboots when I try to answer a call. I went back to the store to address these issues that did not exist before I left my phone in their hands. They jerked me around and tried to claim that it must have been that way before I brought the phone in for screen replacement. Of course this was not the case. The phone was working perfectly well even with the cracked screen. Long story short, they offered me no solutions or satisfaction whatsoever. They just acted as though nothing could be done. Now I need to go someplace else to try to get these issues resolved and hopefully recover all.my photis and files wiped from the SD card. Shady f*ckers over here. Burned me for $130 plus whatever it's gonna cost to resolve the problems if it's even possible to do so... don't risk it. There are plenty of places to go. I brought in an iPhone 6s Plus with a screen that was totally cracked up. I thought I might just have to buy a new phone. But FairFix said it was repairable. A friend referred me to Fairfix as they had recently had the store replace their broken screen on their iPhone. I brought my 6sPlus to the store two weeks ago, said that they would have it replaced in 20 minutes, great I thought....should have gotten a quote on the price though. They charged me $200 to replace the screen...I could have taken it to the Apple store and paid $149...I guess it was worth not driving to Trumble?? But alas..I got screwed twice in the end...just came back from the Apple store as my phone is not working correctly...screen is completely blank..will not respond....Apple rep stated that it looked like whoever changed the screen did not know what they were doing....that the adhesive that holds the screen in was taken out...had to purchase a new phone for $320 from Apple. Also, I have to question why there are such great Yelp posts for this store, but none of the people writing them are from the CT area?? Nashville, TN? NC? MD? FL? VA? Visited Fairfix today, with very positive outcome. Verizon Wireless claimed our Samsung mobile phone had a broken USB port. Wireless charging was painful. After considering various options, we pursued phone repair, USB Port replacement. Dima @ Fairfix gave me a reasonable quote. Upon arrival, Dima inspected phone and determined USB port was not broken at all, USB cables were bad. His USB cables ($15) worked perfectly and saved me a lot of money and time. So these guys did fix my phone quickly but in the end it's far from fair. My screen is neither as bright as it was nor as clear. In retrospect I should have done research prior and made sure to get a quality repair done. When I brought it back I was told there's nothing wrong with it.
