I had a very disappointing experience here. I brought my own replacement screen, and initially I was told that my screen was too thick and wouldn't work. Then the technician said he could fix my phone for $150, which I agreed to. However, after the repair was done and I had already paid, he told me that he actually used the screen I brought from home. This was never communicated beforehand. If I had known he was going to use my own part, I would not have agreed to pay that price. I feel misled and overcharged. The lack of transparency is not acceptable. Make sure you clearly confirm what parts are being used and what you're paying for before agreeing to anything here. read more

After paying $250 for a PlayStation repair, videos featuring my 10 year old child were posted online, and the comment sections contained harassment and inappropriate sexual messages. He was called numerous derogatory names. Check out his YouTube- films mostly kids. Despite my repeated requests, the business refused to remove the videos. At the time, I was told that signing the credit card receipt meant giving up rights to the content. I have receipts and emails documenting this. I had just gotten my new phone last week and just a few days l dropped it and cracked the screen. Fortunately, I still had my old phone, so it was just a matter of switching screens, but that is something way beyond me. I called one place in Norwalk and they said could not do it, probably because there was no need to buy a new screen. Anyway, I headed over to Money Talks and asked me if they could help. Sure enough, a short time later the screens were switched. My brand new phone no longer has a scratched screen. I thought the price was reasonable and the service was exceptional. Ozzy helped me and he took great pride in telling me about helping a woman whose dead phone had photos of her recently deceased mother. She had been turned away at other stores, but he rescued the photos after a good deal of effort and he had a very happy customer! That story said a lot about the quality of service at Money Talks. Dropped my iPad 4 getting out of my car and shattered the screen. Took it here and the guy there, I didn't get his name told me it would be ready in a half hour. Had to get an iPhone 4S ASAP and looked around and founded this place! Guy there is nice and hooked me up on my screen replacement. I had already bought a screen replacement from amazon/eBay but I didn't have the patience to do it myself. Done right there in front of you in like 15 mins tops. STAY AWAY! Charged me $170 and the phone came back to me with the same problem that I brought it in for. He told me he warrantied any work done, but when I called 3 weeks later to tell him the problem was not fixed he told me I would have to pay again, for the same parts, to have it fixed again. Way too expensive when he "fixes" with unreliable, cheap Chinese parts and then expects you to pay again when they don't work! read more

My phone (Samsung S6) battery started failing, not able to charge fully until it was down to 15% despite being charged all night. I googled how to replace the battery and it was a pretty intense 45-min process (for average person) with heat gun to loosen adhesive, tiny screws, etc. Then tried calling Staples who does cellphone fixes and they said it will be sent out and come back in 5(?!) days for $70. Checked cellphone repairs in yelp and found Money Talks. went there and Ozzy replaced battery within 15 minutes (just like the 45-min process that was documented in the youtube but he breezed through it like a true pro); guaranteed his work and charged less than Staples price. What a lifesaver! knocked my stress level to zero. update as of 1/5/2018. just realized that I was charged $2 more than Staples so....somewhat disconcerting and I would have given less stars instead since he first quoted me $10 less than what I was charged for. read more
