I can't believe that there aren't any pictures posted on here yet. If a flea market was to go into a warehouse building this is what it would look like, some booths are just a bunch of bins to pick through, some are a table of dollar items, some want insane prices for unpractical items. The discounts for stuff are a little confusing, it doesn't say any where but you need to pay in cash to get the discount that is posted in the booth OR you can get a dealer discount (10%) but then they charge you a % markup on your card... Pretty confusing when you are checking out, i guess best to bring cash. There are items in here that have been in here 2-3 year and stuff that will sell the same day it comes in. Plan to spend 2 hours to walk through, they close at 4 PM and remind you about 20 times from 3 to 4 that is the case. Really really unpleasant people to deal with up front, so if you are on the fence about going and dealing with a sour puss, skip it. read more

This group shop is a great antique shop with a nice variety of dealers. They do close and clear out for a couple weeks a year due to the fair, but that makes for great sales prior and fresh stuff when the dealers restock. Definitely worth the drive read more

So this is a wonderful blend of antique shop and a sort of used store feeling. Each booth is different, so one is packed like crazy (but full of good things) and another will look picture perfect. You find good deals if you know what you are looking for! There are fabulous books, all $3-5. There is always something locally made hidden in the inventory. The new owner is a woman that is busy, but has time to talk to you and help you find something you might be looking for, as she'll know someone that might have that! If you come often enough she knows you (and what you like!) There are often sales, especially before they have to clear out for the county fair in early August. That is the time to get big bargains! But anytime, you can get a great deal. Bring cash or check for an extra discount (depending on the booth), and don't forget to look at the books! read more

What a great shop hidden next door to the fairgrounds in Swanzy! A bit off the beaten path on your way south from Keene, it's worth stopping in if your passing by or in the area looking for antique shops. A nice size store that is full of neat treasures both big and small, I was most impressed with the selection of antique furniture. read more

Fairgrounds was OK I guess. Depends on what you're looking for. 3 buildings, one a large barn is empty although it is pictured on their website. The other 2 as follows, one had a small selection of nice stoneware for sale behind the counter, and plenty of new, country decorator items, the last one seemed to have a majority of newer 1970's colonial style furniture, but considering the name and the size of the place, it was kind of lacking in antiques. This is a great place to walk & browse thru...have been coming here for years...its like a bit off the beaten track, but we always find something unique to purchase for our own collection or priced right to re-sell. Went to this business because I was told the gentleman knew what they were talking about when it came to Second head items. I sell a lot of items that are second hand but don't happen to know anything about trains. When I told the gentleman behind the kind of what I thought my set was worth the other gentlemen was also speaking with me who I am now told as the owner laughed at me and walked away. I don't think in this business you should be laughing at people it would help to just maybe educate them and tell them what the item is worth. i would have sold you my item for what the guy told me it was worth had you not treated me the way that you did. i paid 5 bucks 75 wouldve been fine, but now im gonna let someone else make the money off my train set and hopeully the nice guy behind the counter finds a new partner that doesnt act like a child in a business setting. read more

The largest shop is... vendors. So you need to know your stuff. I once bought a post card that was just a copy of a postcard...and the vendor knew it. BUT...the staff behind the counter ... great. They will keep an eye on you, but if I were a vendor I would really like that. They don't "spy" on you, or make you leave your bag, but I like that they keep an eye on things. Very fast moving shop. I go about once a week and there is always something NEW. You get to know which vendors are high priced (which is fair as it's really nice stuff) and which have the "Barn fresh" finds that I like. There are LOTS OF SALES at the booths, lots. So bring cash. I've had my best deals just paying cash. I bought a French clock from the Colonial era, with all the paperwork including the last time it had been worked on (1976, and the details of the repairs) for $50. It was just sale time and I had cash! Large variety of EVERYTHING. Last trip it was a wonderful bookcase that someone had made. Not OLD (as in very old) but solid. Incredibly low price and it's holding a ton of books. You never know what you will find, but if it is something you like, they'll hold it for you while you go get cash. They don't mind if you charge either....but best deals are in cash. Also one where you can bring your children, not perhaps the youngest, but kids have had fun here. I have seen children starting their collections here, from little soldiers to Bryer horses. It's one of the few shops that you feel comfortable brining a child. Coffee also, and they'll have you carry out a larger item. read more
