The collections seem to merge into each other as a muddy mass (with the colourful spark of Orla Kiely occupying one rail) Mrs Robinson's fashion is however, normally quite popular. Maybe there is some sort of addictive chemical in the air, but even when you are super broke, just browsing in an Anthro store can lift the dullest spirits. This one on Regent Street happens to have a Sale Room - where there are great deals to be had. Spend some time digging in there and you are bound to leave with something that will strike your fancy for a while. Customer service in this location is not as consistent as the one on Kingly Street (Sloane Square) - but still very friendly.

The only part that is not accessible is the display on the stair landing up the staircase. The store itself is gorgeous and clearly Anthro puts a lot of time and talent into the design. There are several items in the store that I really liked; I think there is a thin line between trying to copy high end and using it as an inspiration yet adding a twist in the detail. The designs are different and daring with added zips, bows , laces and frills where you might not expect them on pretty dresses, blouses and jackets. Layered carefully and teamed with some solid accessories, the clothes in this store could almost get away with appearing to be very, very expensive. Not that it matters how much your clothes cost in London or anything. I wasn't so keen on the footwear although I did spy a very cute pare of patent ankle boots that I wouldn't have kicked out of my cupboard. The sales assistant was friendly and enthusiastic and I would definitely recommend this store for buying a special party outfit that almost certainly no one else will have.

Ye olde shoppe does not trounce upon others. Neither does ye olde shoppe fall to the bottom of the ranks of inequality. It remains normal. There are fashionable pantaloons, blousons, shoes and robes at half the price of a goat. That is to say that it is not inexpensive like a sac of cotton, but it is not a bargain like getting a new plough for the price of an ounce of molasses. On the other gauntlet, there are some mighty tempting items there for few doubloons as with the Lego man pin. I thought about bartering for the pin. Then I thought - why not be a robber of artistic integrity and affix a Lego man to a pin myself. Like this I could skirt the few pound fee. If you are in need of a gift to present to your sister or mother or friend, or a gift to give to your dressmaker or notary, you might find something useful here among the frames and games, the swags and the bags. It is not as good as my nearby general store, and I would not ride my horse very far to reach this olde shoppe, but I would stop by again if I was in the region.

The prices are very high and the clothing only looked normal to me. I saw some Vivenne Westwood dresses, next to names I've never heard of. I took a whiff the Balencia perfume, which was nice enough but not worth the price in my mind! I think If you like designer clothing and are willing to pay hundreds for a dress, have a look at Powder.

Pretty, but 'pish' if I ever need a 70 party frock. The clothes ranged between club-like and semi-designer-like interesting. The sale rack, which I always manage to seek out like a metal detector seeks out little bits of soda can buried thinly beneath the earth, was reasonable. I browsed the collection of fishnet and colored (mind you not patterned) tights as well as the gift-y knickknacks. Still, I walked out with empty pockets and hands (unless you count the family of kangaroos I've been keeping in my back pocket for an undisclosed purpose. Lily Bling. I didn't see any ten kilogram gold chains, nor any spare gold teeth, nor any gorillas, but just a bunch of clothes and gifts that someone somewhere will really like.

They sell girly clothes of varying quality but the nice stuff is really nice. I saw a gorgeous black evening dress but it was £65 and I couldn't justify spending that much money on as I don't think the clothes were worth it. Not only do they have clothes but they also have some nice trinkets, candles and picture frames all of similar style to the girly clothing. They also offer an alteration and dry cleaning service.

Finally, I saw past the squareness of it all on an early June day, and made my way in to the quaint boutique. Here's the skinny -- everything is a bit boxy. It's not quite as "shoreditch" as the window displays would have you believe, though. The upside to this particular cut and style is that it fits a wider range of people (pun intended? no). For me though personally, not very flattering so I skipped on most of the items I adored on the racks. but did end up with one very lovely summery dress that will be very nice for work, chiming in at £78. It's flowy, not boxy -- big difference! However ACCESSORIES. This is where it's at in the Relax Garden, my dears. Earrings, necklaces, scarves, sunglasses...all very inexpensive. I snagged a gorgeous pair of triangle earrings, a summer scarf, a headband (we'll see how that goes) and was truly delighted at the options. It's a very small shop. The women are friendly and somewhat over involved in the experience. I am sure they are happy to help, but I do prefer a bit more space. I am sure if I had just told them that they would've left me to it. They've been open 10 years. They are doing something right! The clothes are well made and not nearly as expensive as I had anticipated. If you are shopping in or around Shoreditch High Street, make sure to give this one a go, it'll be worth it for the accessories and perhaps you are the perfect person for that square fit boxy look -- then it's a goldmine.

Everyone knows that Japanese people are unquestionably the best dressers in the world, so Japanese designers are generally a safe bet. I like this store because it looks very expensive, but isn't. They stock an interesting selection of garment designs in great colours and fabrics. They also have some beautiful leather bags and very cool jewellery. My favourite piece in the shop this season is a bright orange, button up jersey vest. Every time I have been in here the staff have been friendly and welcoming, happy to give what seem like genuine opinions on the outfits I choose and in return, I usually pick something temporarily wardrobe and life changing for about £50. It's around the same price as Topshop but with the added bonus of knowing you probably won't walk into a party wearing the same dress as everybody else.

I have a few pieces from there which I team up with jeans and simple black cut-offs and I love the final finish.
