I contact my insurance Cigna and they also said I am no longer insured ! Why they submit a wrong report that stated I already passed away that lead the consequence Medicare Department cancelled my all my Part A & B benefits ? Now I have no health insurance since March 2025 ! I am suffering badly Diabetes , no way to get medicine ! Worst than that , I can't see my doctor for annual check up and dental treatment ! I write down the address of this UNITY HOSPICE & PALLIATIVE CARE to alert all of you to avoid this facility : 2200 Nasa Road 1 # 250 Houston , TX 77058 . Phone : 422 - 2500

Yet once Michele White the caseworker took over, she dropped the ball. Although she was the one that shared a listing of providers for cremation, she failed to enter that information under my step-fathers case. Once he passed, the nurse Jariah called a company that is contracted by Harris County to come pick him up as if his family did not already complete our due diligence and make the final arrangements. My step-father was picked up from his assisted living facility and taken away like he was trash and an inconvenience. I had to call around looking for him in the time when we should be able to grieve our loss. Instead, I was forced to contact another company that I didn't even know existed and complete some documents to have him released to the provider we originally selected. No apology was offered. No sorry for your loss. Only call I received was for the family to be blamed for everything. Their staff acted as if our family was not proactive and caring enough to make the final arrangements in a timely manner. I highly recommend to find another hospice provider. These people a cut throat salesmen looking for the newest victims to target. They tell you everything they think you need to hear and once you sign the paperwork, they forget you exist. These people do NOT care about the patient but the billing. e were failed and yet we were the problem. Sadly no one cared nor were they concerned. Run and do not look back.

The performance was truly engaging, bringing a unique energy and artistry to our community. A huge thank you goes out to our Life Enrichment Director, Shonta Thompson, and our Executive Director, Coco Murray, for sponsoring this event. Their generosity made it possible for us to enjoy not only a professional-grade performance but also a delightful spread of refreshments. In addition to the main show, the game and door prizes were enjoyed by the Drama Club members and the many residents who attended. It was a fantastic day of culture and connection at Clayton Oaks. We are already looking forward to the next production!

This place may be very pretty and shiny on the outside but once a loved one is there, it all goes…read moreto crap! I can't even begin to list all the issues with this place! They'll tell you that they have quick response times for their caretakers to respond to a page but 30+ minutes is not quick at all! There was even a time where the night caretakers turned off the phone that alerted them to resident's pages. There were several instances where they messed up my mother's medication and for someone with her medical history, missing these medications could've caused some major medical emergencies. My mother was constantly cleaned incorrectly. NO ONE should be cleaned so horribly wrong that feces is dried and caked up on their pubic hair. This was an ongoing issue not something that happened one time. Unfortunately my father had to go to the ER several times. I would always call the front desk and inform them what the issue was with my father and ask them to call an ambulance. One time I called back 20 minutes later to make sure my dad was headed to the hospital.... Guess what, they never called an ambulance! Thank goodness my dad wasn't having a heartache! The management there is incompetent of giving you answers to questions and problems that are going on in the facility they run! No one takes responsibility for their or their staffs screw ups! They charge an arm and a leg for care that is horrible. I don't know how anyone can be ok with treating elderly people like this! All this happened with the entire facility knowing that we were a very hands on and involved family. I can only imagine how the elderly residents, that do not have someone advocating for them, are treated. Stay far away from this place. You do not want your loved staying here!

I would be explaining what happened to my family after we observed the "Caring Comfort" generously administered ,to my sweet husband ,in this uniquely lovely environment.

Houston Hospice - Diamond Team, lasted a week before I had to fire them and find another hospice…read morethat could provide end of life care for my mother. To begin, their intake nurses are rough, belligerent and detached. The lady we got could care less about my mother, she just wanted to do the minimum and get out. Not a single commitment was upheld, not one. We called for support and help four times in the first week and the average time to hear back from someone was two hours, then another two hours for a nurse to arrive. So if you have an emergency, just call the ambulance and have the hospital take care of it, it's faster, and your loved one will suffer less. Now, as a result of me firing them, they became hostile, threatened to make me pay for equipment they left behind and failed to retrieve. They never took into consideration that my mom had died and their employees, having missed the appointment to pick up the equipment, lied and said a dead woman was preventing them from getting it. We choose to go with another company who was hands down better suited for caring for end of life patients. Houston Hospice is a money game, you are a dollar sign, if you are cool with that, then use them.

Adding insult to…read morethat event is the fact that less than 12 hours later, someone was at my daughter's house UNANNOUNCED, to pick up medical equipment. Checking that box off of the white orchid to-do list. Note the recurring theme...UNANNOUNCED. Notified the owner of yet another two failures (unannounced AND at the wrong address) and he proceeds to blame me for not answering the phone or responding to his text during what would be the latest 72-hours of my mother life. When corrected about that, he launches into giving me a lesson on how their business is run. I kid you not - mansplaining as only a true business person could...void of any and all compassion for me or the fact that my daughter's family was unnecessarily bothered today. He ends by telling me he has the best people in the industry - as though there is something wrong with us when we were the RECIPIENTS of horrible business practices and absence of communication. (See screenshots if you don't believe me) ********DO NOT RECOMMEND***********PROCEED WITH CAUTION************* 10/24/2024 BASED ONLY ON THIS REVIEW, my daughter received call from owner - who, as a professional entrepreneur, appears to provide copy/paste responses to negative posts that address 'may' have caused, how you 'may' have felt after having been told exactly how we felt. More emotional trauma... After 42 minutes, he then comes and justifies their actions by stating Welfare Check etc... Still not listening, still not caring about anything other than those ratings and the Medicare payments. 10/23/2024 How to rate negative numbers is something Yelp needs to figure out. I really agree with the Yelper who said the nice, caring, compassionate person who signs you up is NOT reflective of the experience you get. Heck, he doesn't even respond to my texts now. Overall, so far, our experience with White Orchid and in-home hospice care has been an emotionally abusive situation. We are losing my mother, which is traumatic enough - but THIS COMPANY takes stress to aWHOLEnother level. For the second time in 2 months, the chaplain just shows up unannounced and then acts like he's going to force you to let him in the house. Today, he continued to knock despite hearing my dogs go ballistic and me not answering the door because I was in a meeting - AND HE HAD ZERO APPOINTMENT. I told him to leave my property or I would call the cops and his response was "Go ahead! Call them!" FIVE MINUTES LATER he was still sitting in front of my house. I was terrified that he was going to try the door handle and enter on his own...had to brace the door because he would not leave. Same chaplain did the same thing on Sept 17th at my daughter's house and was CLEARLY told not to show up unannounced, EVERYONE needs an appointment. He even went as far as to say that the company tells them to come on out when the family doesn't answer the phone. They must pay him, by the visit because he certainly puts his personal wishes ahead of those of the family. A bully at best. One social worker was the same way before we had him removed from our family's case. He just showed up and got belligerent when I would not let him in the house. Had nerve enough to ask "and just who are you?" The second social worker is more professional, calls ahead of time, schedules, sends texts and asks about OUR needs. First nurse was the same way. Thankfully, Lynn (NOW) schedules and understands that we still work etc. and, even though we are at home, we can't just stop our schedules (virtual or otherwise) because they have 8 minutes to make $150 for the half-hour.
