They even watered them before leaving since they knew we were out-of-town. When i talked to them in person they said they didn't carry the 15 foot truck. So they gave me the 20 foot truck for the same price which i thought was nice when i was driving i realized they had not tried the ac on the truck and i was moving to The south and the ac was blowing hot air at me and my animals were suffering because they were not thorough enough to check the air conditioning to see if it was working. Despite what the weather outside is like, I have always been greeted promptly by a smiling and friendly attendant! I love this small town, friendly business. I highly recommend that if you find yourself traveling through the Grand Rapids, MN area, stop by and enjoy a little "blast from the past", while having a Nuch's attendant fill up your gas tank!

My closest local library is like any other library in the sense that books, periodicals,…read morenewspapers, audio tapes, video tapes, and DVD 's are kept for reading, reference, or lending. There are meeting rooms, small quiet study rooms, computers, and a resource desk. The library is laid out where the children's section is on the opposite side of the building from the teen section. What really draws me to the library are the programs they offer each month to different age groups. I receive in my email "News from the Library" each month. For instance, the programs in May, include a Harpist, Christina Catruvo playing Celtic music; Beth Dooley, author of Minnesota Bounty, sharing her love for Farmer's Markets and how to prepare locally produced foods; Frederick Blanch, writer and nature photography, showing his breathtaking photos and giving hints and tips on how you can do; Paws to Read is the summer reading program kickoff Art event which is open to all ages, Teens need to get ready for the Battle of the Bands in June; Jon Maturi continues his discussions on the Civil War:The Overland Campaign; Family Movie night:Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2; and Phenologist and Nature lover John Latimer takes you on a Spring River Walk along the Mississippi River right outside the library. You should sign up to get the monthly email on what events/programs that are being offered and would be of interest to you. Also, the upcoming programs are posted at the library. Summer reading programs for children and teens will be starting in June. Ongoing events are Story Times for children and caregivers and sometimes they have special visitors. As I love & shop our local Farmer's Market, I attended the presentation by Beth Dooley. It was excellent, educational, informative and she made the most delicious salad with mixed greens, micro greens, pea shoots, shiitake mushrooms, black radish, smoked trout and 3 different homemade vinaigrette dressings. How great is that! Interesting questions were asked during the Q & A and there was a lot of interaction among the attendees. One thing I do like is the comment card handed out after the presentations to inform the library on how well you enjoyed the program, if you would like similar programs to be offered and what other types of programs you would like to see be offered. I recommend that you check out what is happening at the library. You might be surprised what interests you and/or your family.
