He is also engaged at UT Southwestern and had a medical student with him which was a plus in my mind. After working in teaching hospitals, I have seen how the young, whipper-snapper medical students can keep seasoned providers on their toes with the latest research. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The waiting room had a large fish tank which kept my infant and toddler completely entertained....and the best part? We were back in the car, both kids belted in, after a lost cellphone search, 25 minutes after our scheduled appointment! I have never been seen so quickly! As my number of visits increases, I might have more feedback, but thus far, I'm impressed! Update: We've been here a few years now and I'm continually impressed by Dr. Rivera, how he interacts with my kids and communicates with the adults in the family. He is always very timely--there's never an excessively long wait when I see him. I have seen Dr. Beamer three times though and had to wait over an hour after my appointment before seeing her.....which was less than ideal. This may/may not be related to the fact that she's the only MD present on those three occasions.... I also love the computerized charting system so I get a copy of the appointment's medical notes before I leave and the prescription (if needed) is sent to my pharmacy instantly. Pros: 1. Staff (Tammy, Juana, Madison and Dora are amazing!!). There also seems to be very little turnover in his staff which is great! 2. Computerized charting/medication prescription ordering system. 3. Dr. Rivera's competence. 4. Availability to schedule an appointment. 5. They accept Tricare. Cons: 1. The practice appears to be large...it took about 1.5-2 years for Dr. Rivera to recognize us . 2. The lab. I'm not a fan of dealing with the recommended lab.

From the time of our appointment to when we were done, it took approximately 1.5 hours with about 30 minutes wait interval between measurements/wgt, seeing the doctor, and then nurses for the shots. If you have an infant /toddler, this feels like eternity. This has been a very frustrating aspect and would give a five star recommendation otherwise.

From our very first meeting, we felt completely at ease--she was warm, approachable, and knowledgeable. We were living in West Plano at the time and chose her without hesitation. Since then, both of our children have been under her care since birth. Even after moving to the McKinney/Allen area, we continue to make the drive to Willow Bend Pediatrics just to see Dr. Le--that's how much we value her care. They're always able to get us in when one of our kiddos isn't feeling well, and my kids actually love going to the doctor because of her. That says a lot! Dr. Le has an incredible bedside manner--she's warm, friendly, and always takes the time to listen and explain things thoroughly. We've never once felt rushed during an appointment. She called back to say she reviewed the call and unfortunately the doctors are human and things come up.
