Do not ignore the bad reviews like I did!! I had nonstop problems the last two years and it's not worth the cheap rent. 1. The biggest issue was flooding that took 4 months for maintenance to come look at. Called multiple times, put in countless maintenance requests and it took me emailing corporate to get someone to come look at it. We were put into another unit for a few weeks and once they said it was fixed, within 2 days it flooded again. Over half of my first year I dealt with wet floors that moved when you stepped on them and they were never replaced. 2. I moved into to a different unit and the ceiling leaked the first week we were there -- maintenance said they didn't know where the water was coming from and to "call them back" if it happened again. It happened two more times and they gave me the same answer. Our entire lease the ceiling was soft and mushy with holes in it and it was never repaired. 3. They charged lease violations for everything but wouldn't come and fix any problems -- ex. charged $25 for one pair of shoes and an outdoor mat on my patio, meanwhile my AC was broken and no one came to look at it. 4. AC broke in both units multiple times and maintenance said they didn't know when they'd have time to get to the roof to find the problem. They put a window unit in one room so the rest of the apartment was hot for the last 6 months of my lease. 5. One of our vehicles was broken into and damaged. There are no cameras in the parking lots and the "security" that drives around at night was nowhere to be found. 6. The apartments are old with no upgrades and when things are broken they are rarely fixed. Cabinets were almost falling off when we moved in and a month into us living here it completely fell off. They also forgot to clean the carpet so it delayed our move in. Closet doors were broken when we moved in and were never fixed and it took them 4 days after move in to fix our toilet that was broken. 7. The amenities are basically nonexistent. The "gym" if you can even call it that has one dumbbell, cable machines are all broken and most of the cardio machines are broken and outdated. There's one treadmill that works and nothing else. The pools are almost always closed and when they are open they're dirty and green. The only positive is the leasing agents are extremely nice and attentive, although management isn't the same. If you have a concern the leasing agents will try to get you in contact with management, but it will take multiple phone calls, emails and visits to the office to finally get someone to respond. They also refuse to speak with you when you go in and will only meet by appointment. The leasing agents are professional, but management is not. Overall, just avoid this place. We have had countless issues the last two years, and the apartments look old and outdated with things constantly breaking. The cheap price isn't worth the headache. read more

We moved into this unit in May 2021. Since then, we've had nothing but problems in the apartment. Some have been minor, and others have been serious. The worse of which is water coming into the apartment when it rains. Work was done in 2021, but it's been a recurring issue since that time. In order to get the initial work done, I had to email their corporate office. I usually have to email several times and finally get General Manager involved just to get a response from emails. When asked in person about the service requests, the usual answer is "Well, the apartments are 50 years old, you have to expect some problems." Almost all of my service requests are left open for months and then closed as "resolved" without any work being done. The staff in the office has been polite and helpful when they can be, but management here is just above slum lords as far as I'm concerned. I'm here only because I have to be for another year. I would never, EVER recommend this place to anyone. read more

This place wouldn't be so bad if the staff wasn't so disrespectful. The manager Mike is very rude and agressive over the phone and has been everytime i have had to speak with him (Never a good reason). Honestly i have only spoken to two individuals in the leasing office that are nice or atleast fake it enough to help you, i understand things happen and they are human as well however when you are dealing with someones personal belongings or where they lay their head you dont get to have a lazy staff that gets disrespectful when you start getting frustrated with their complete lack of care or knowledge when you call. You have to call multiple times to even get an answer and if its Mike best believe he doesnt care and he isnt afraid to show it he will basically act as if there is absolutely nothing he can do for you until you say you are coming to the office, then he can magically help. He's done that to me atleast twice, The maintenence team isnt all that great either but i believe they are short staffed so not much can be done there. But it would help if they actually came/communicated that they wouldnt be coming. They don't really actually come unless you complain to corporate. Or atleast they never did for us until i filed a complaint. Its overall not a terrible place to live if you can deal with rude individuals in the leasing office or a barely there maintenance team. Im sure everyone who lives here understands that the property is older, but when its older and you have to deal with crappy staff it makes it hard to tolerate. read more

Been here for 2 years and im leaving. This place charges a premium for crappy service. The pools are always dirty and unusable. The dog crap is everywhere and rarely gets cleaned up nor are there receptacles around for people who do pick up after their animals. The management lies to you at every turn and getting anything done in the apartment takes weeks and is usually not good enough and has to be repeated. No one communicates schedules, maintenance comes when they feel like it. and there is no way to communicate with anyone in corporate. They demand rent on the 1st with heavy penalties if you pay as late as the 3rd. I do not recommend moving here. They are basically on the edge of being slum lords. and they love using the argument that the ammeneties are not part of the rent. yet thats exactly how they argue the higher rent. read more

If I could give it a thumbs down I would. This apartment complex is AWFUL!! Friends' apartments were constantly broken into, losing all their belongings. Looked to be an inside job. Management did nothing to rectify the issues and ignored all pleas for help. In fact, they were rude as hell. I know a few people who moved because of the burglaries there. If you want to live safe, don't live here. Security is non existent. You don't feel safe there. Stay away!! read more

I immediately set my own traps and the next day I notified the front office so that maintenance could come to seal the hole they were coming in. An exterminator stopped by once to reset the traps I bought myself but didn't catch anything. Maintenance eventually did come to patch the hole, but only after I stood in the office and demanded that someone come and patch it immediately. I waited in the office while someone was called and met them in my unit. I caught a total of eight 'mice' in the time it took for maintenance to address this. It wasn't until FOUR MONTHS LATER, that my original work order was addressed. Sometime in late February I began to hear noises in the kitchen and walls while I was home alone. I began to suspect that I might have rats entering my apartment. I bought rat and large glue traps. An exterminator visited and notified my roommate and I that there wasn't much more he could do inside the unit than what we already set. He told us that poison would be set outside and that we were free to contact him if something came up. He did not notify us exactly where in our unit he set traps and he didn't return to check them. Sometime in May I opened the closet of our A/C unit to find a large, decomposing rat in a trap. Also, at this time the noise in our walls was still ongoing. I have never dealt with rodents before and my roommate and I wouldn't have signed a lease here if this was brought to my attention. Rodents are unsanitary. I understand that they have attempted to address this issue. I also understand that these are older buildings. But at this time I still have rodents making noise in my walls. Absolutely the WORST housing complex I have ever experienced. I doubt the staff was completely incompetent so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt by assuming they were either lazy or completely unprofessional. My unit remained infiltrated with roaches despite me applying various pesticides. Come to find out, it was caused by a massive hole in my kitchen that was ignored instead of repaired (I submitted multiple maintenance requests). It literally took months to get simple yet important repairs done. Management ignored my phone calls and the messages I left for them. Moreover, the office staff was unhelpful and rather uncaring. The only good thing Fairway View has going for itself is it's location. Even though it is conveniently located off of i-10 and near grocery stores, it is not worth the hassle living in this complex. My recommendation, avoid Fairway View Apartments at all cost! If I could rate Fairway View Apartments a zero (0) star, I most certainly would because one (1) star is far too generous. read more

I been here for 6 months now and my experience has been HORRIBLE, I dont even think horrible even explains it. The apartments are so old and outdated, you hear every step someone takes upstairs. The light in the kitchen takes 20 minutes just to cut completely on. The downstairs bathroom doesn't flush correctly and when I first moved here I was expected to have a light in the living room but no they have no light in the living room so you have to get many lamps just to achieve the lighting you want. These aren't the only problems just touching the surface here...... the main problem is the AC it has been broken on and off for months. Its been to the point where my light bill was over 1000 because of AC issues and I reached out the the leasing office and of course it wasn't their fault so guess who had to pay the light bill plus the rent that they wanted ON TIME BUT CANT COMPLETE SIMPLE MAINTENANCE TASKS ON TIME. This facility is a joke I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to live here. If you can find somewhere else I strongly encourage you to do so!! STAY FAR AWAY FROM HERE. read more

People constantly drive up to the gate that don't have a key card and will sit there until someone comes and scans their card.Ive complained about my neighbors blasting their music and all I have been told is we cannot do anything about it though they play it loud after quiet time.People are so nasty they let dogs poop everywhere and throw trash in the parking lot instead of putting it in a trash. read more

I have lived here for a year and if it wasn't for the location, I would have left. They lose my mail. Maintenance takes forever. There is a snake that lives in the columns outside of my apartment. Need I say more? This place is way overpriced and they gouge the rent when you renew your lease. The best part about living here is I've only had one car towed for not having one of their stickers and considering I never registered my own car with them, I guess thats pretty good. So the bonuses are its location, parking policy and I can definitely vouch that its a safe area. Its downsides are everything else. Its up to you. Happy apartment hunting. read more

Hi , I'm Desperate and need immediate action ,I'm on vacation out of town and the office staff that's in the office are two Guys that's at the Baton Rouge Fairway view apartments location, they are constantly Harassing and Hanging up the phone line in my face ..I've Been trying to reach out to Management and also asking for the MANAGER on duty he stated he is the MANAGER, after I had to involve my parents to call the office with another voice he stated his name was Chris and only chris, These Guys are very unprofessional and very disrespectful to the fullest, they are constantly calling the tow company and flirting with apartment owners threw out there shift like it's a Joke ..if they see something they like are a female they don't like are care for the Harassment starts....They are constantly doing something towards me and boyfriend (company )I have at my apartment, they are calling the tow company on our vehicles, giving false information to the towing company, they are saying the Neighborhood caling but come to find out its them ..They have a relationship with one another and it's stopping for anything are any situation to be addressed seriously, He also continues to say he is the MANAGER I said who else can I speak with , he states he is managing the apartment complex ..it was told that ,you said you was going to get a attorney, we just going too talk to your attorney..I said we are working on this Harassment issue now with you two Guys because I sure cooperate doesn't know what yall are doing and handling apartment owners ..He tells me, he watch the apartment. I think it's about time I do this review now because I'm getting even more pissed by the day. I'm just gonna start first of all the application and move in process was really bad, unorganized and I should have changed my mind with moving in here right then and there. Between move in and now or rather I say New Years Eve I only had a minor request which was to change a few screws, cool got that done in a "timely manner", well let's look at New Years Eve. I was making a pot of gumbo to celebrate the New Years then boom, everything goes downhill. My stove wasn't heating, heater went out and lights were a little dim. Well I called what was suppose to be 24hr emergency maintenance asked for someone to come out and see if it was anything they could do to help because it was VERY cold that night. The lady had the nerve to tell me there was no one to come out and help because it was dark.. DARK? It's gonna be freezing to below freezing and you mean to tell me I can't get maintenance out to check out whatever the problem may be? Okay my frustrated self just hung up the phone and went over to my friends place to finish the food and warm up. Because the office was closed on the 1st I was forced to wait until the 2nd to speak with someone from the main office, lady I spoke to said they should have had someone come out. Well they didn't... I then proceed to let her know I needed someone to come check out the problem because I would be leaving for Houston for the rest of the week and I wanted to make arrangements and wait around for Entergy, well apparently all the maintenance people were cleaning around dumpsters. I couldn't wait that long because I had already slept through the cold and woke up to a cold shower so I was just ready to leave. Well by the looks of it, maintenance did come through to check things out which were out of their hands bc it was the outside breaker or whatever it was. The man that came, left my dining room light on and took a piss left some on the toilet seat and did not flush the toilet leaving my bathroom smelling like urine that has a UTI or some other infection. Who pays my light bill? Who cleans my apartment? Surely not the staff of this complex soooo I'm very disappointed because it is not their place to use my restroom or LEAVE MY LIGHT ON, especially when I'm not here (especially because I was gone for a few days). Well a few weeks pass by and it's getting very cold again and I get a knock on the door thinking they were coming fix my heater, nope. A maintenance guy came bring a space heater that takes hours to warm a room let alone the whole apartment. What happened to being comfortable in your place? I have been a resident here at Fairway View Apartments for about 9 years now, and I DO NOT plan on going ANYWHERE ELSE! My experiences here have been wonderful. I moved here for a temporary place to stay back in 2005, and haven't left since. They have just added some really cool additions to the property too! New basketball court, pools, and washer/dryer centers! They even plan events every month for us, and sometimes they have free food too! I don't see myself moving anywhere else. Find somewhere else to live. The showrooms look way better than the apartment you actually get. Very cheap-looking and dirty. I've had roach problems and a mice problem that lasted for months. If you're looking for a cheap one person apartment and are willing to deal with all that, fine. A warning though, if you live in the loft-style one, you have to do your laundry at the complex's laundromats, and they are either full or "under construction" and cost you $1.25 per wash/dry. read more

I enjoy living here. I've been living here for a year, and I have never had a bug problem or any problems really. The inky time I've had a "problem" was when it rained really hard and it leaked inside from the ruff. Which in my opinion, isn't their fault. The maintenance staff came at 10 at night and looked at it, then came back the next day to fix it. Rent isn't high. It's a fair price. And you live on college drive, which is next to restaurants, Walmart, gas stations, etc. And the traffic isn't too awful during LSU games. I'm about to renew my lease, and I don't think I will regret it. read more

If I could leave a 0 star review I would. Largest pack of dumb incompetent employees I've ever dealt with. You would think being most of the employees are students in college they'd be partially good at basic math. We had been paying a certain amount of rent for 6 months only to be be told that they told us the wrong amount and that it was suppose to be higher so they made us back pay them for those months. Completely screwed up security deposit by sending it to wrong people so we had to pay more. Granted they credited us on rent for their mess up on deposit but really?? How do you mess that up when you do it every day? How many other people have you screwed over and they or you haven't caught on? Also apartments are disgusting the bathrooms looks motel 6 bathrooms poorly painted the fake hardwood they put down peels. They came and fixed the floor and 3 months later started to peel again. They will tow your car if you're parked in front front of your unit without a parking tag but will leave a car in the residents parking for over a year with outdated parking tags and the Windows busted out sitting on 4 flats. Also tried to make us pay for a busted window that their lawn care crew busted out when weed eating one day. It was a 2 pane window and it was cracked on the outside and they tried to say we busted it from they inside. I could go on all day about how nasty and slow and terrible this place is but I'm at work. I should've listened to the reviews I read before deciding to rent here! Do not move here! read more

I really like it here. I love the 24hr access to the fitness center. And really happy that they put up the bright parking lot lights for at night. More than anything I LOVE that it is located in the middle of everything. If there was one thing I would like for them to do is let us BBQ on the balcony. But other than that, I really do like living here. read more

I've lived here for about three years. One maintenance man (Bald gentleman with glasses) has been rude to me on several occasions. I don't even feel like calling maintenance anymore because i don't want him showing up to my apartment me for me to have to deal with. What i really don't understand is why rent goes up every time i renew, but people who are signing their first lease get a cheaper rate? Have you ever heard of customer retention?? What I can say is the staff in the office are always quick to solve any issues you might have. They are all very professional and courteous. If you plan on moving here because it's a gated community, don't bother. The spikes for the exit gate are almost always down because people push them down to enter and nobody bothers to put them back up so the gate might as well just be taken down. The location is the best part of this place.. that and ive never really had a pest problem inside the apartment. Outside on my patio however, during the fall months you can hear rats using the gutters as tunnels to get from patio to patio. All in all.. it's an "okay" place to live read more

Lived here for 3 years, always have issues with getting maintenance to come fix things in a timely manner, like last year when the AC went out twice. Both times they sent maintenance to Phase 1 multiple times after I clearly stated that I live in Phase 2. Was without AC in the middle of summer for an entire weekend because "we can't send maintenance out at this time." The second time I had to go into the office until they agreed to send someone out. Despite that I didn't mind the apartments too much... until we got new downstairs neighbors that is. Its been a solid month of music blasting through my floors to the point that I can hear every. single. lyric. What does the office say about it? "I'm so sorry to hear that but unless it's between the hours of 10pm and 7am there's nothing we can do." What a joke. Don't waste your time with this place, they really don't seem to care about the comfort of their residents. read more
