Great service and great products!…read more I had passed by Balloon World (BW is what the cool kids are calling it) many times as I'm a frequent Mills50 gal. I always wondered how such an oddly specific store like this could stay in business with all of the Party Cities and Targets of the world. Today I figured it out. I was at Party City, I'll admit, when I asked them if they had any gold or silver foul balloon letters (a'la 'Blurred Lines' video, but with no reference to Robin Thicke's ~ahem~). Shockingly, the megastore for parties didn't have them and they could only recommend ordering them online on amazon. Well, thankfully I remembered BW and INDEED- they DID have the letters! I went by the shop and Tiffany, the daughter in law of the owners, helped me with finding the balloons, taught me how to fill them, and taught me how to deflate them to reuse again and again (though this would seem to hurt their business, her honesty and genuine pleasure to help me save money made me certain I'd never buy another balloon from a national chain again!). Tiffany also showed me their portfolio and man, oh man, can they do some fun stuff with balloons! My only sadness was that they didn't sell helium tanks- they only rent them. I begrudgingly returned to Party City to buy one so that I could inflate the balloons at the venue. So much for trying to go fully local on my quest! :) Note: they also supply most of the clowns in CFL. I don't know why, but this makes them super legit in my eyes! Make sure to pet the store mascot, Zena the Yorkie, before you leave! She's a darling!
